As someone who has worked in mental health care for coming up on 30 years, I have to say, Better Help is problematic, to say the least. They don't use professionals, at all, and have caused more harm than good in many cases. They have also been in trouble overcharging people, and also exploiting the health care coverage details of those who use their services in countries like the U.S., and many other wrongdoings.
@@kapitan27 I do think Matt has all the right to do sponsors, but based on @thelastmotel 's comment, maybe he should consider them a little bit longer.
They killed their reputation, for good reason, and somehow managed to get back in the good graces of a ton of people. All it took was a few years being under the radar and the collective memory of everyone is wiped.
You can really tell that it is a moden engineer playing due to how he tries to cut costs and corners everywhere and ending up with things collapsing. 10/10 for realism.
That "deserves a raise" phrase hurts the people who are paying the graphic designer because they probably pay them more if not right and were treated great. Then there's a random person on the internet who thinks he's better at managing than the person who is paying. 👌
@@cacacaio230 Wasn't trying to downplay the compliment or the artist's work. Just saying, as viewers, we don't know all the nitty-gritty details. Two guards showing up for work every morning to do rock, scissors, paper to decide who walks at the front of the convoy and who doesn’t make it home for dinner
They kinda do though, actually. Those bridge builder games are based on the real bridge simulators engineers use to test if the bridge will hold up the loads they are designed for. Of course those things don't look nearly as fancy as Polybridge.
The reason Matt found this game hard was because there were no engineers in medieval times, only archetects, which also means architects have buildings that have lasted longer than anything any engineer had made. Conclusion: Architects were the engineers before engineers

its funny cus im pretty sure most if not all medieval bridges where stone arch ones. but this game expects modern constructed ones just that the material does not include steel or concrete and wire. XD
Or just the ones that survived were stone ones. I would expect that as with most things, the majority of them would be made of wood, but those don't last for a thousand years.
I see you using modern engineering in the medieval era Edit: you should play it again and use go all out with worrying about money and see what kind of wonderful bridges you can make
Day 156 of asking Matt to play Mindustry. FFOTD: The Router is the only non-turret block in the game that you can control/go into, this is in the game as a Easter Egg/Secret Anuken added. (Creator of Mindustry)
Looks pretty decent, but the intended solutions under half budget seem like they're way too rigid. Like there's basically only a single possible way to do it under 1/2 and getting even the slightest bit of deviation from that will make it fail. Needs a lot more leeway in that regard, but otherwise it's got potential.
I have no interest in engineering stuff but I randomly found your channel and I do enjoy the bridge building games so I subbed. And I gotta say man, you grind out the content like crazy. Not many other gaming channels your size have an upload schedule like you. Good stuff!

Clearly the lesson here is that budgetary constraints cost lives and valuable commodities; how many of those people, and how much of that beer could have been saved if only you had been allowed to just spend as much as you want?

“My bridge don’t jiggle jiggle, it holds” could be a great bridge song 😂
i was thinking the same thing. i didnt remember the lyrics tho XD
Whoever’s making the thumbnails needs recognition and probably a raise 😂 they’re doing really good work recently

Compared to Polybridge, it feels a lot worse in this game when a bridge fails because the people and horses actually die.
but they get to fly first

They did in Rome with stone archways, when the keystone was placed and the supports took away the designer had to stand under it

Reading the title I fully expected it to be the game Medieval Engineers lol
'your bridge should never jiggle' ... It folds
I like how you had to get a sponsor to afford this expensive game
