I was certain I'd seen him play it before. When he didn't mention it at the start, I was wracking my brain to try figure out who I'd watched play it. 🙃
There's a lovely line in the opening sequence in the standard game (I'm guessing RCE is playing a sandbox game to have no cutscenes), when the little girl asks her father(?) if she can be a hero like him one day. I can't remember the exact wording of his response but it's something like "Heroes give people hope, yeah? You've always given me hope. That must mean you've always been a hero." Very sweet
Love SteamWorld franchise/IP it's so good. Once I got the notification the new game dropped the first thought I had was "I am gonna need a real civil engineer video of this." Wasn't expecting it the same day. What a great surprise.
Fun fact, Sand is one of the most abundant resources but we could still experience a Silicon shortage for computer chips and stuff even though sand has silicon because not all sand is high quality enough to use. Not exactly "fun" :p But the sandsifter in the game having good and bad regions totally makes sense xD
We will never experience silicon shortage. As we use more silicon, and deplete our current resources, silicon will become more expensive. Price will act as a signal. This will make low quality sand to be more viable for silicon production, and technology for silicon extraction and production will improve. Thats what happened with oil. We were gonna run out, but we haven't. Same goes for silicon.
Not all sand is silica sand, there are also limestone sand from coral, black sand from lava and red sand from granite. Another way to interpret it is some sand has more rocks than others, like the sand RCE is mining only has a few rocks in it but the sand in the low productivity areas is mostly big rocks and dirt with a little sand.
Saw this on Gamepass and decided to download and play, needed a new city builder but with a twist and so far it's really fun to play. Still playing the tutorial mode and it's very informative and doesn't seem to rush you at all which I like
I played this game for like 6 hours today and didn't even see the time pass. I was hoping to see you play it! Edit: 10 minutes into the video and im going back to the game because watching Matt play made me want to play lol
Your Factory Buildings like (Charcoal, Moonshine etc.) don´t need to be in Range of the Housing, only in Range of a Warehouse. Warehouse Inventory is connected between Warehouses.
Day 12 of waiting for Matt to upload Mindustry Part 2. FFOTD: The biggest "block" that you can build in the game is Tetrative Reconstructor in the Units tab, its size is 9 by 9 blocks, quite big.
i understand why you play abit games before recording it but there is something very enjoyable by us expiriancing the game with you, eitherway you are really nice to watch tnx
I just wanted you to know I'm drunk as hell currently going to school for an engineering degree and have worked as a drafter with architects and fuck em
@@mateusbmedeirosI think RCE is grown up enough to resist such pressure, if he doesn't want to do it, he won't, if he says it one day it will be because he genuily wanted to have fun saying it
Timberborn really needs a move tool, can you talk with the devs Matt? @Timberborn, please give us a move tool, or make it part of the game, a service that builders have to do.
Check it out SteamWorld Build here: disobey.cc/SWB_RealCivilEngineer

hello
Heads up Matt the link is giving me a 404 error. Cheers mate!
The link doesn't work for me. It says the page doesn't exist.
Day 43 of me asking Matt to continue playing Minecraft.
I clicked the link in the description but it said page not found
I remember the demo from when you played it. Fun game. Please carry on.
I remember too.
Odd that he didnt even mention it.
@@gerekappo Yeah.
@@gerekappo he did mention it. at the end

Yes, it's great when we get to see the demos he plays completed

You can opt out of the story in any playmode. He probably cut those scenes out, though. Sandbox mode doesn't have the milestones.

The era of silicon computer chips is already ending.

@@erentas4451 isn't "prices get up, as there aren't enough ressources to keep it up" the definition of "shortage"?
The Steamworld Dig games are a lot of fun and now that this is finally out I should probably give it a try!
this game is really fun please play more
The way the buildings jiggle is somehow both satisfying but also super uncomfortable 😂
The mining portion of this game gets me wishing for a new Dungeon Keeper. It would be so cute...
An architect must have liked the aesthetic of having the train travel under that rock.
I love the ridiculously large buildings and how they wobble.
7:31 Engineers sure know how to handle their shaft

I want more of this game, I am addicted !!
So it's Anno on top and Dungeon Keeper at the bottom.
Just saw the video after taking a break for lunch.
Been playing this since its launch at 9am.
Loving it!
Just completed the game this evening, I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Very well balanced, looking forward to 100%ing it for more of a challenge 3:)
Matt, you're convincing me to buy insane amounts of city planner games wth lmao
Remember when you played this when it was a demo, I love this game
Yayy I’m glad that you went back to this game :) the demo was cool
8:02 Cats vs Dogs!!! Now there’s some childhood nostalgia.
20:56 Not me pissing my pants with laughter from this cut-away😂
I was obsessed with the Tropico series so this was such an easy game to get into
Please continue with this game. It looks so fun and there are enimies when you go down furthur in the mine a couple levels
Im definitely getting this game, loved the demo, been waiting for the full release, so im off to buy it!
Get game pass, it would be free ;)
I literally got this game today played it for like 2 hours and hopped on youtube to listen to while doing dishes and bam here it is.
Yay finally a game I played several hours of before you make a video. Always wanted this viewing experience
I played this game for like 6 hours today and didn't even see the time pass. I was hoping to see you play it!
Edit: 10 minutes into the video and im going back to the game because watching Matt play made me want to play lol
7:46 is it just me or is this the rock from the cars movie?
8:04 Cats vs. dogs ... Nice touch
Awesome playthrough, I hope tht it can become a series.
Please make a series out of this
Love your stuff anyway but giving you the like for the cats vs dog clip my favourite childhood movie 😂👍🏻
Loved the demo, amped to play the full game!!!

ohh i know you i saw you in a vid
day 12 of seeing this comment. keep it going
Mindustry sucks
my favorite architect channel
Dwarf Fortress awaits you, RCE. The dwarves require your engineering prowess. You know you want to. It's Dwarfcember.
Would love a series on this!
The whole video i was getting MAJOR déjà vu. At then end when you said you had played the demo a year ago it finally clicked why i knew this game 😂
love how it has a similiar system like Anno 1800 with different level of people who do various jobs as well
The art in this game is stunning. So it plays like anno, but has that underground instance. Propably need to check this out myself
What's more, it's like OG Anno, just improved with modern development of QoL features.
Beat the game in a day. Going back for the 100%. Pretty fun
Just spent all day playing, loving it!
I love the polish and attention to detail in this game.
They are such a great studio 👍👍
i understand why you play abit games before recording it but there is something very enjoyable by us expiriancing the game with you, eitherway you are really nice to watch tnx
Def some Anno vibes. Likin it a lot!
This looks fun! I hope you play more of this!
I’m so darn happy with this game :)
Please continue playing this game
i loved the demo of this game. ill have to get this when i get paid next week
I would love to watch you play more of this please 🙏
Already really enjoyed the demo, would be cool to see where you can take this in the future!
If you really liked that underground section, you'd probably like Dungeon Keeper 2. It's an old game, but it's really fun.
I really enjoyed this video. I hope you make it a series. Cheers.
"Engineers survive on burgers." Facts.
Also "Hammer-ception" 😄
I would like to see more of this!
: )
I would love to see more of this. Keep it up!
I just finished the first map. It's shorter than expected, but I hope the other maps have some fun twists and add some replayability
I was hoping you were going to play this for release
In RCE's vision of the old west there was a salon on every corner for when the cowboys came to town.
Great video! always showing your skills and making it a great time. Never stop engineering!
I started this game today while waiting on my phone on hold for an hour. It's quite amusing. Playing on gamepass
Oh, i remember that game's beta that u played. It was a very visually beautiful game.
This game looks amazing.
I remember the demo video, you need to make this a series please
I would love to see what Matt could come up with if he played Scrap Mechanic
The game is good but how didn't the robots get the hint about moonshine?
You should make this a series.
More Plz!!
4:16 Devs looking at this be like: (referring to the dude in the back ground)
Matt please play more of this I enjoyed it a ton when you first played and I also do now so please play more
You must do another episode of this game
The mine feels very dungeon keeper!
How come I have never heard of this game? Looks really fun! Its on sale on steam, so I came across your video by looking up a review. good work!
More parts please!
this game is super fun
I watched the PS trailer and thought of RCE 😂. But Matt is way ahead
Eye-roan-ee-um. Ironium :)
Can confirm us engineers like a drink.
Play kingdoms and castles pls i love your vids
I was hoping youd cover this one
It has finally released, I thought it would take forever
That rock is most likely to be a real thing like in the US Midwest where there are lots of "balancing" rocks
Reminds me very much of Anno, at least the upper part.
I just wanted you to know I'm drunk as hell currently going to school for an engineering degree and have worked as a drafter with architects and fuck em
Day 13 of asking Matt to say pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
he needs to say it
No
I prefer hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia
That's why you don't give in to the pressure. It just never ends. 🤦
@@mateusbmedeirosI think RCE is grown up enough to resist such pressure, if he doesn't want to do it, he won't, if he says it one day it will be because he genuily wanted to have fun saying it

Play much more of this!
there better be a part 2
after watching you do the demo. i have been waiting for you to do a release video
Matt.. How much longer do we need to wait for Timberborn to return? I miss them so much 🦦🦦
I think until the next big update pushes through out of its testing phase (at least that is my assumption)

Robocows, the only steak that requires an elctromagnet and the jaws of life to eat.
Cool game! I wish you'd play the opposite (but same), Frostpunk.
Did you know that (Anno 1800) game in steam is like city skylines but with boats and destruction
Please continue so much fun
7:24 'Abdandoned'?
Hey Matt, how long actual time did it take you to get to this point at the end of the video?
About 2 hours, though having played the demo I knew what to do pretty well!
Day 1 of asking Matt to make a Bridge Review Compilation but I also have issues with commitment so this is probably the only day I’ll ask Matt.
