The interplay between Cipollina and Duncan was always so clean and smooth. For me they were the epitome of Cali psychedelic guitar in the '60s. Yeah, "bloody hell" is right, Dominika.
I have loved this song for nearly 60 years now. Protest music used to be practically its' own genre. Now it seems a lost art form, though there is no shortage of things to protest against. Yes, this song is as relevant today as the day it was released! Thank you for listening and reacting.
WoW am **Luvin** THIS ive never heard of them before i don't think...& OMG I **LUV** the cover of the album **BeautifulQuirky** i want to live in that **HouseBoat** **Luvit** **MuchLuvYouTwo** **ThankYOU** so MUCH for introducing me to this band whoa can't believe i never heard this song before heh
Really this is an emotional song written by a guy, Dino Valente, and he also had various names like Chet Powers. You can hear his emotions and he has some other songs. The added production music in this song distracts from it, it's better to watch the live version. Also his song "Children Of The Sun" has great emotions in it, as is 'Fresh Air'. But do investigate, look up Dino Valenti (the american) and some of the live versions.
That's the time and place I grew up. Seem QuinSilver ?? Times At the Fillmore, Winterland, Golden Gate Park. Dino Valenti (this singer) was awesome to watch and hear.. Good times, Yup, Better times??
They actually did have trouble with the law. The lead singer had been arrested for marijuana possession and couldn't join the group when they first started because he was in jail.
Look at all the people in history that were targeted in past history and more recent the Kennedys to Dr. King. Whenever someone went against the grain they were usually silenced. Even from Hendrix to especially Jim Morrison. Even John Lennon was denied citizenship at first because they wanted to keep him out of the US due to his opposition to the draft. I read where the Government put their names in a file to be liquidated. This song (lyrics by D Vanenti) stands for the freedom to take a stand and be true to your cause.
**LUV** the **Message** in this song i just listened to **Ren** last night & yep he is singing bout the same damn thing not sure if ya have already listened to this one by him but it is called **Crucify Your Culture** as i always say until ALL ppl come together there will be NO change so until then it is Everything is **Time Immemorial** BUT always have to have **Hope** **Shrugs** **PixieHugz&LuvzALL** **Edit** Aww please take me with YOU to that lil house in the forest!!! **MoreHugz**
"Fresh Air" should be the next song by these guys. 🙂

Wow, an old mellow West coast 60s. Quicksilver "Who Do You Love" is legendary.

“Fresh Air” is another good one by this group.
Glad you reacted to this song. Quintessential hippie band. Saw them in ‘73 a little after their heyday.
Wow...I wondered who would eventually get to this anthem.

My thoughts exactly! Nobody reacts to this one.
Great San Francisco band! Had one of their albums in my collection from college days. I’ve never heard this song before however. Powerful.

Dino Valenti was a free spirit musician!
