okay i GOTTA get in on this. being an owner of both a g35 and frs, I can confidently say that the g35 is trash compared to the frs/brz. 0-60 in my frs with a tune is faster than my g35. if you're looking for a car that will get the attention of a few teenagers then buy a g35, but if you want a car that is esteemed for good reason in the car community and has the best handling get an frs.
Super nice exhaust note …assuming UEL headers and tune. These cars are fun to mod at reasonable cost and take windy roads well due to low CoG. They aren’t muscle cars folks.
I avoid Western “sportscar enthusiasts” since they can’t differentiate between different teirs and purpose of the cars. This model was envisioned as a sportscar for handling and hitting curves. Japanese Group N and A rally and drifter, NOT speed racers. It is a good car for tuning and upgrading hobbyist. That was pretty cool. 👌
@@DoctorDipshits because anytime someone posts a 86 platform car like the brz or FRS everyone just says “iTs sO sLoW” without realizing the car was built for handling. @@eternalglow6483 believe me I’m aware of that. When Toyota went to Tetsuya Tada and Yoshinori Sasaki they were looking for something to bring back the Toyota name, bring back the spirit of what Toyota truly is. Having the GT86 as the direct predecessor to the AE86 and have Tetsuya and Yoshinori behind the design was the best decision Toyota has made in a long time. Tetsuya proved to Toyota that they could be better without being faster, the flipped everything about modern sports cars in their head with that project.
