Dear Cameron, sir, hats of to you. Your combination of words feels like a smooth waterfall you can lay in all afternoon caressing your skin on a sunny day. Thanks sir, your content is remarkable.
We love your channel good sir. I live in South Africa, home of Kayalami and Jody Scheckter. We are holding onto the hope that F1 will soon return to Africa. Imagine seeing Max grace this iconic this track in his Red Bull. Please add your voice to our call, we would love to hear your thoughts on this tantalising possibility. Thank you for making F1 viewing more engaging and enjoyable, by sharing your observations and insights.
I remember seeing the layout of the Kayalami circuit in autosport magazines about F1 years previous. Always hoped F1 would return there. In my opinion it's simple; if we claim F1 to be a world championship at the very least it should be open to the whole world (which it is) and preferably it should visit every continent with only Antarctica as the sole logical exception. No idea what the current state of Kayalami is. Wouldn't be surprised if it would need a lot of work to meet modern standards.
@@theampedlife as a European from the Netherlands I seriously would dig that idea. Crazy F1 isn't on African continent whatsoever! One should know there is a lot involving hosting a gp. Also politics.. For all Africans this would be neat!
Agree, hope so too. And for a real F1 WC they need to visit the African continent as well. And SA has a great track with Kyalami. Grtz from the Netherlands!
For me, Max is the greatest of all times, he rarely make mistakes, nobody can ever intimidate him and I guess he will win more championships for the next 6 years. He will will all this coming 6 years to make it 10. GOAT.
I think that's exactly it, Cameron. You CAN judge across different eras, if you look at what a driver can do rather than merely statistics and there has never been a driver that can do ALL the things Max can do. He is the best driver I have ever seen, as far as a list of skills goes.
I dunno, Senna was probably similar in his fearless driving. There is one trait about Max that I’ve never seen before. Which isn’t human. There is just no way to force him into an mistake. Pressure doesn’t work, getting under his skin make him even stronger. Being vile about his girlfriend or family, makes him stronger. There is no way to get him to drop the ball. And the British press have tried everything.
@@barneyklingenberg4078 I'd say there is one way of forcing Max into a mistake, a car he can't defend his championship with. Since Brazil 2021 and Mexico 2024 are to me clearly mistakes on Max' part, but in both cases he had a car incapable of fighting and it forces him to defend beyond the limits of the rules. But he still stands out compared to Schumi and Senna in my opinion since he's never gone as far as intentionally crashing into his competitor.
I don't believe he's getting the credit for what he was able to this past weekend. His car was garbage and he struggled just to get an 8th place finish in the sprint. Only a couple of hrs later he puts that car on pole. Make no mistake it wasnt the same car but there inlies the whole issue. He had zero practice and zero knowledge of what to expect and on his very first hot lap went straight to the top. He had no clue what would happen when he sent it into turn one on lap one. Yet we act like it's nothing and just expect things of this nature from him. He makes excellence look merely routine. How lucky are we fans to be watching this mans career!!!!
@@Rodejong LUNACY dude - ALL Checo ever did was show Max how to FAIL and SNAIL - Checo is the absolute ANTITHESIS of SUPERMAX 🐐 Checo couldn't test a bowl of hot soup for Max - it would take too long 🥱
Correct that the team transformed the car and great job by them. Max took that car and never put a foot wrong the rest of the weekend and showed just what true talent does. He had one bad restart ( no excuse given fo the faulty safety car lights ) and parked his on the inside forcing Lando to go on the outside and concede into turn one. Who knows what would've happened had Lando not made the mistake with the yellow flags but may I remind you that's part of the conversation. Max didn't make that mistake and caught Lando. The FIA didn't rob the fans of a potential great finish Lando himself did.

Consistency is the key and that's what makes him better than the rest . Good or bad car he drives it perfectly with 100% ability. You can add some more capabilities but is too many compered to others
I have always known Max was going to be one of the really great drivers but now I think now he might be the best I have seen and I’ve watched or kept up with since the 60s and have watched every race that’s been televised
After Max heard that Russell had been given pole position by the FIA, many people thought that Max would be affected by a bad performance as a result. That is the strength of Max who learned at home never to give up and keep fighting for a good result.
Compared to Brazil, this was minor. In Brazil, with all the red flag shenanigans in quali and an engine penalty leading to him starting 17th while Norris was on pole. Something tells me he has broken Norris like he broke Perez in Miami last year. This was probably Norris' one single opportunity to become champion and he blew it. Next year will be very interesting and not only because Hamilton is going to fer. Wonder what Oscar is going to do, Norris might have a hard enough time with him. Don't think Oscar will accept any more team orders to help Norris after seeing what Norris did with it this season. Spicy stuff, methinks.

Max loves life. So I doubt he'd have driven a car from 50 years back. Those guys were of a different breed. But it was a different world. Max belongs to a select group of the best drivers humanity has ever brought forward. So much is clear. If he's the best ever, I doubt he himself loses any sleep over the question. Though I'm sure that he'll feels he could beat anyone they put next to him on the grid in a somewhat similar car. And I'd bet he wouldn't be wrong about that.
Max has been tested more off track to than on track in 2024. The fact that he prevailed and won the championship in spite of it all speeks to his character. It's a pity that Lewis fell victim to his emotions and the internal politics with George ( because after the shenanigans with Max I firmly believe that George is the same with Lewis) . I just wish he would show a little fighting spirit.
I think people keep underrating seeing max as the goat of this time. Like michael schumacher showed what real fitness was, max showed the power of simulator work. The paddock is surprised that young drivers now seem more prepared to enter f1 than before...no need, its called simulators. Who is the prime example of co-training in simulators.. exactly: Max. (And proof is not just in f1, his talent shows in fifa soccer too.. no coincidence!)
Hard to ever call anyone the goat as diff times diff cars etc , but there is a defo a name of greats and he's defo on it. ,Jim Clark , Niki Lauda , ayrton senna , Lewis Hamilton max verstappen, they gotta be my picks but I could never pick one over the other lol
Many F1 enthusiasts overlook the fact that Max was born into a racing family. His father was an F1 racer, and his mother was one of the top female kart drivers. Just as children learn to talk and walk, Max learned to drive. His mindset stands apart from other drivers. Having received the finest schooling in F1, it has shaped him into an exceptional driver. Will he win in 2025? If the car remains unchanged from its current state (excluding Qatar), the chances are slim. However, becoming a five-time F1 champion? That is a definite yes.
He’s the best ever. Anybody that doesn’t know now is in denial due to driver favouritism. but it’s just a matter of time before they too come to the same realisation.

It's rare to spot a driver who hints at having no defined upper limit, like when he became youngest ever F1 winner. It was franked with unreal flair at Brazil 2016, and further stamped from then on. Fortune favours the brave, but for a brave genius she rolls out a red carpet, as in '21. Brazil '24 showed that what we perceive as negative pressure, appears to fuel him. I love pure brilliance, don't care who displays it, and Max brought a truckload to a very grey F1. Another great video Cameron 👍👍
Sine the start of the F1 we have seen some extraordinaire performers from different drivers for me i have seen Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton. We all know which races i refer to. Now Max has shown us twice ! Only the great drivers can show us this level of performance. Ofcourse i forget many greats who i have never seen racing live.
Cameron I will see you what you said, and raise you this; There are two kinds of setups that primarily go into every race. One that everyone is always talking about and one that no one in the whole wide world is talking about. The first being the car setup which is widely pedaled and which we don’t really know in details and can’t understand it, even if came to know of the details, like Windsor often shares the details on. The second and the more important and even more un understandable but very evident is the Driver setup. That happens only in the mind and the very inner psyche of the driver. No one knows but everyone will see the result of it. All 20 drivers are setup to race, some are setup to not make mistakes, even lesser are setup to win the race, even lesser to eye and win the championship. One road is setup to simple dominate. Dominate on every turn and every millimeter of available track. Dominate on every mind on the track. Dominate the very air. Wins and championships happen for him in the background in the scheme of things. This one answers to the name, Maximillian Verstappen. His has every faculty available to him that all the other 19 top in the world have and then a lot more What’s the result of this, not championships, that as I said happens in the background. The result is the car he drives finishes every race quite a lot of positions above the best scientific possibility, capability of the machine. Again, not the wining races, all races. Belgium, and many others where the car finished 5,7,8 or whatever number. Every race is quite a bit more than maximized and that brings championships running to even the third fourth fastest car on the grid. I rest my case, Mi-Lord.
if there was a Pulitzer prize for UA-cam.. it should go to you dear sir. I'm not a native English speaker but your wording and vocabulary is inspiring and teaching me so much. love it!

He was too harsh for Max this year…in a very nasty way, but still good that he can give him the credits he deserves now🥳…it’s never too late to be nice
ZB is saying this not to us, but to HIS drivers. THIS is how you need to drive in 2025 if you want to be WDC. Lando: be more ruthless. Oscar: more pace and consistency. If you can’t imagine beating Max in competitive machinery, you won’t be WDC no matter what car we give you.
His craft capital is very high and it has been attained by constant elimination of stupid and costly mistakes like proper interpretation of the rules and their grey areas like the light issue, the corner rules and being able to employ his race craft at the highest level possible! Lando on the other hand has consistently proven that it's 60% the car and 40% driver. All greats reach this 40% consistently to be champions,Lando currently is at 28% while McLaren race strategies are around 78%
My favorite way to put it is: Max's weak points are at the same level as most drivers'strengths. Leclerc and Lando are capable of beating max on their good days but beating him across a season is near impossible bc of which you described
this year max has had less wins then his first f1 world champion of 2021 10 wins 18 podiums 395.5 points 2022 454 points 2024 if max wins Abu Dhabi he will be on the same points of 2022 429 + 25 f1 fastest lap and he is 1 point ahead so this year has not been a flop
I feel that his consistency remains the biggest thing that seperates him from the others. DNF's aside, Max has seen the chequered flag in 176 races and has only failed to score points in 5 of them, 4 of which in the Torro Rosso.
As a career, I don't know if he is the greatest as there are era's but as a greatest peak of all time it might just be him. The dude has 1 weakness that isn't a true weakness at all. His anger and aggression is a secret not so secret weapon of his. When he's spiteful he gets faster and more aggressive where 95% of the time it works for him and only 5% of the time it works against him. This is the only personal weakness that I see in him that isn't even a true weakness. He's a perpetual line stepper who knows the rulebook inside and out and will sacrifice time penalties and penalty points as a resource to win. He has qualities of the past greats in his DNA. You can see parts of Senna, Schumacher, Prost, Clark, Lewis etc, in his driving. The only way to beat him right now is with a vastly faster car cause lord know if he has a car that's 2nd or 3rd fastest he'll be in the fight still. He's a apex predator that preys on his targets weaknesses, driver and team.
Imagine that Brazil 2024 race but replace Stroll with prime Senna, Perez with prime Schumacher... and Hamilton with uhh... prime Hamilton (xD) all somehow as comfortable with the current cars as they were with the machinery they drove when they were at their best 🤯
Max was winning every grand Prix at the start of the season .I think they must have disabled his car in case it got boring. for the fans and near the end when lando had a little hope. they gave him his car back 17th to number 1 in the wet. and next race number 1 again in the dry just saying 😂
Cameron, can you comment on Sainz being miles ahead of Williams but couldn't get oassed the Alpine, do you think he's having regrets about not signing with Alpine?
I think next year all of the top teams are going to be fairly equal but will be swapping who is best depending on track and conditions. That kind of championship battle favours Verstappen all day long. And hear me out, these cars are not far off their max potential. They are beating times of the W11 on high speed tracks and these cars are nearly 80kg heavier or something. They can’t get that much faster, so it’s not like Mclaren or Ferarri can gain a second plus in pace next season, it will be more like gains of 3-4 tenths for teams.
Senna was a monsoon driver. He came to live in such conditions. Verstappen is exactly the same. Both had/have a head with over capacity. They don't make mistakes. They see everything around them. They are not limited by tunnel vision.
Five time champion? Let us not get ahead of ourselves. Sure, he can do it. With some luck (weather, the others teams being close to the same level and dividing the points) he can come out on top in a 3 or 4 way champioship fight
Senna donnington in the 3rd or 4th quickest car, changeable conditions, senna staying out while it was greasy when the field pitted and I bel😢lapped the field bar 2nd. This is probably the best drive I have seen. Senna was quicker than max, but he couldn’t do it like max over a season. Max this year was Schumacher level. Schumacher 1994 Williams was the quickest Schumacher champion (senna would have won had he not left us, as Damon was mediocre but still had the quickest whip) 2000 McLaren was quickest but again Schumacher rose to the occasion and 2003 was Ferrari really the quickest? I think Williams and McLaren had a shout at being the quickest
Proper F1 fans know there is NO 'goat'. Rules, points, scoring, qualifying formats, machinery, circuits have all changed so much from each era to the next, that its absolutely impossible to say one driver is better than another from a different era. Greatest of their generation is about the best you can do. No disrespect to Max, he is a phenomenal driver and a worthy champion.
Agreed, fully Max is probably the best of his generation, Lewis, Alonso, Vettel were the best of previous one. Before that, it was Micheal Schumacher and him alone. Before that it was Prost and Senna Then lauda Clark etcetera. And the first Goat Undeniably that was Fangio.
I’ve lost interest watching F1 after Schumi retired in 2006 until Brasil 2016 where I found my reason to watch it regulary again! I would say Schumi’s 2006 Brasil drive was not far away from Max’s this year. And I’m also 30+ years into F1, so don’t get me mixed up with this Netflix generation of viewers 🫢
Last time max and Lewis had equal cars they both ended up with equal points going into the last race of the season. Max is a sensational driver no doubt but I don’t think there’s too much difference between them.
@@TommyLeeRoyce But it's not the points tally before the final race now, is it, it's after. Not to mention that Max would have been champion races before the end if the stewards had done their job properly. Because of their bias and corruption, they clearly couldn't do a proper job. It took the race director to intervene in the last race to create but an ever so slightly more level playing field because he was sick and tired of all the BS his stewards were causing. In a level playing field, the final race wouldn't have even mattered. But alas, it was skewed as can be. That season, Max was not only up against merc and Hamilton, but the FIA as well even though they are supposed to be impartial. Yet Max prevailed. Has Hamilton ever had to fight the FIA before? I highly doubt it. Heck, the FIA tried to do it again this season, favouring Norris in Maxico and Brazil. Luckily, Max showed once more he can defeat them all, including the so-called impartial adjudicators of the FIA. Max is the best to ever do it, only the DTS and casual fans don't see it.
GOATs often only really get appreciated after they no longer act in their profession. After a bit of time the little annoying things during their reign in their profession are forgotton, the great things are remembered. Senna was a bad boy and did some nasty things on track, Schumacher was mostly not loved when he raced, same for Vettel.

Dear Cameron, sir, hats of to you. Your combination of words feels like a smooth waterfall you can lay in all afternoon caressing your skin on a sunny day. Thanks sir, your content is remarkable.
Too kind. Your words mean more than you might realise. Thank you
We love your channel good sir.
Dutchies supporting you to get your brilliant track back on the calendar!
Agree, hope so too. And for a real F1 WC they need to visit the African continent as well. And SA has a great track with Kyalami. Grtz from the Netherlands!
Please bring F1 TO KYALIMI
For me, Max is the greatest of all times, he rarely make mistakes, nobody can ever intimidate him and I guess he will win more championships for the next 6 years. He will will all this coming 6 years to make it 10. GOAT.
Max drives a season like Schumacher and an occasional race like Senna. The men is a racer at hart a winner by spirit and a champ by dedication.
Cameron: Your Vocabulary, Your Wordsmithy, and Your Delivery are Themselves, "God-Tier"! Thanks
Uffff! This means more than you might know. Thank you, sincerely.
“The realms of Barbershoptalk” had me spitting my coffee out on the table, thanks Cameron! 😂😭
Look - If you can convert Cam AND Zak Brown - in the same lifetime - you are the ULTIMATE success story 🤯 MIND-BOGGLING - SLAM DUNK GOAT 🐐
Have to credit Perez and the team as well to find the best setup. But indeed. Verstappen did the rest
@@Rodejong LUNACY dude - ALL Checo ever did was show Max how to FAIL and SNAIL - Checo is the absolute ANTITHESIS of SUPERMAX 🐐 Checo couldn't test a bowl of hot soup for Max - it would take too long 🥱
Max pulled a lap when he needed it, but the team also deserves credit. Using Checo a test mule in the sprint delivered for them.
@@Rodejong PER tested a front wing only. RBR changed the setup, Max went extreem, PER went more conservative. PER did good in the race till he burnt his clutch after spinning and drive off in 3rd...........
It breaks my heart to think that we will have no F1 after this weekend for 3 months.
Why did you need to say that? :(
I am relieved😂 Time to catch up with the local gossip here in the wilds of Vancouver Island. Sunny and 12°C today! Snow on the mountains! A world that lives parallel to F1 and needs some ❤
It also frees me up to go out for lunch on a Sunday!!!
Consistency is the key and that's what makes him better than the rest . Good or bad car he drives it perfectly with 100% ability. You can add some more capabilities but is too many compered to others
Love the packet of crisps analogy Cam. Where does it come from? Inspired!
It's a Cameron special! 😃
No, that's borrowed from Evo magazine, probably Jethro or Richard Meaden. 🥹
Did you read with Damon Hill say Cameron it is 40 years ago that an driver came worldchampion in the 3 th fastest car
Then again when Williams won the WDC with Damon Hill they were able to win the WDC with a driver far removed from the 3rd fastest driver on the grid.
I've been watching F1 since 1980 and I've always believed Senna was the best I'd ever seen - I don't think that anymore.
I have always known Max was going to be one of the really great drivers but now I think now he might be the best I have seen and I’ve watched or kept up with since the 60s and have watched every race that’s been televised
Respect my man!
After Max heard that Russell had been given pole position by the FIA,
many people thought that Max would be affected by a bad performance as a result.
Started to encounter more if your content. Must admit this one is pure poetry and will keep me listening until the end.
Keep up the good work.

I appreciate you sir. This means much 🍻
So Max transcended the GOAT to the BOAT..
In that Brazil race you indeed needed a boat to do well.
LOL, good one!
Cameron, Simply Lovely !
Cameron, you are truely the nail in the coffin of the naysayers 🤣
Please also watch the documentary serie “Max Verstappen - Off the Beaten Track” (Part 2) what the mechanic says about Max!
With your level of delivery? You could be going places!
Even blind person can see Max's excellence, but not the haters.
It wil go on as long as Max is in F1, lovers en haters, the haters wil loose, why? Max dos not care😄 thnxxx Cameron
Loved it. Thanks and keep it up
He’s the best ever. Anybody that doesn’t know now is in denial due to driver favouritism. but it’s just a matter of time before they too come to the same realisation.

UA-cam STOP censoring Truth here‼️ Too many trolbots and arrogant xtreem LEFTIST wokerzzz 🤮🤪🤪🤪‼️
Cameron, everytime spot on! Just the facts 🙂 new sub! Respect sir!
And he carries it with regular guy aplomb. I think that is the best part.
Cameron I will see you what you said, and raise you this;
There are two kinds of setups that primarily go into every race.
His has every faculty available to him that all the other 19 top in the world have and then a lot more
What’s the result of this, not championships, that as I said happens in the background.
Lando watching Zak and Stella say this👁️👄👁️
Poetic stuff Cam.
Let set aside the driving excellence... just the amount of headroom he has when calculating and managing his race.
Great point. Very well made.
if there was a Pulitzer prize for UA-cam.. it should go to you dear sir. I'm not a native English speaker but your wording and vocabulary is inspiring and teaching me so much. love it!

This means the world. Thank you. 🍻
I like you style dude, subbed
Thank you sir.
The alien had acid for blood, max has gasoline for blood
Another banger Cam, great vid. And where do you get them from, to determine the flavour of crisps through the tyres, what a beautifull sentence. This Hughes guy has a way with words, but you can match him in the very least. Keep up the works.
This might be one of the most beautiful descriptions of a driver's style of driving I've ever heard
Cameron, I love your content....Simply Lovely!!
I told you Cameron, that was what he referred to. Thanks for educating the F1 fans.
The're lots of showy F1-channels. Noisy. Overstrained. Doing the same as everyone else, sounding similar to anyone else is easily boring. That's why I never watch them. You, my friend Cameron cc., you caught my attention and I kept coming back. Love your being some kinda of a You Tube Formula One Poet! Great stuff!
Hello Cameron I'm from NYC and I like your show! Keep up the good work. Also have you been to NYC and eaten a NYC pizza slice?
Loved the George Orwell quote! You are getting really good at this...
Cheers Rick. I'm trying. I'll get there in the end 😃

He was too harsh for Max this year…in a very nasty way, but still good that he can give him the credits he deserves now🥳…it’s never too late to be nice
Verstappen is beatable. Yeah only with a much faster car.
Exacltly! Lewis proved Max is beatable in 2015-2020. Lol 😅
That's a gross underestimation of the capabilities of McLaren's car.
Ask Damon hill what he thinks 😂😂
this year max has had less wins then his first f1 world champion of 2021 10 wins 18 podiums 395.5 points 2022 454 points 2024 if max wins Abu Dhabi he will be on the same points of 2022 429 + 25 f1 fastest lap and he is 1 point ahead
so this year has not been a flop
Flop? He is WC!
I feel that his consistency remains the biggest thing that seperates him from the others. DNF's aside, Max has seen the chequered flag in 176 races and has only failed to score points in 5 of them, 4 of which in the Torro Rosso.
To me GOAT means "among the Greatest Of All Time".
I like that. It jives well with calling someone 'a goat' too.
That's not how abbreviations work. Either way, Max is not a goat, he is a lion. We all know lions would eat goats any time of day.
Thank you!
Some were writing off Max a few weeks ago. A few weekends of not winning and Max apparently was normal. 😂🤣.
I've been watching F1 longer than Zak 😲
I'm flippin old.
If Red Bull had Honda engines sooner then Max would have won more titles being able to challenge Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton!!
That book is really great, I finished it within a day
So good right?
I love your comparrison about that bag of chips max is driving over...he he can tell what kind of flavour it was....great stuff...
Were the UK press present for the post race interviews?
Cameron:top
Beautifully summarised, I'm almost ready to change my religion🙏
You Poet you! Love it!
The Delta between Checo and Max is all the proof you need. There hasn’t been a bigger gap between teammates ever in F1 history.
No. Max > Senna
Senna had those superhuman reflexes what really wowed us. Max has that and is literally superior than Senna everywhere else.
4th quickest car? Which car would be the 3rd then?
In brazil max had 3rd quickest car by the way as well
Wasn’t Senna driving one of the only cars equipped with traction around Donnington that year?
@@Real_ghostboi no, all top cars had traction control and schumacher even had it next year when it was banned.
Agreed, fully
Max is probably the best of his generation,
Lewis, Alonso, Vettel were the best of previous one.
Before that, it was Micheal Schumacher and him alone.
Before that it was Prost and Senna
Then lauda Clark etcetera. And the first Goat
Undeniably that was Fangio.
They say congratulations Champ 😂
Now The Naysayers say, Max didnt win in 2021
Amen!
Statistics don't lie. Max is the man 💪
I’ve lost interest watching F1 after Schumi retired in 2006 until Brasil 2016 where I found my reason to watch it regulary again! I would say Schumi’s 2006 Brasil drive was not far away from Max’s this year. And I’m also 30+ years into F1, so don’t get me mixed up with this Netflix generation of viewers 🫢
Lol I always says " im not one of these i just got here b/c of Netflix fans .been watching since i was a kid.
Pleasant to see more and more of you Brits/ Englishmen start to see the GOAT Max rly is, obliterating Hamilton👍
Had the privilege to watch sennas whole career…senna first given the abundance of competition he had and lack of technical assistance of the time…easy peazy
Your lingquistics are Max level!
