he has been racing since a young age so saying he knows fuck all about engineering really shows you know nothing. Sure he isn't as knowledgeable as the likes of Stella, Newey, Vowels, Allison but he is as knowledgeable as the drivers if not more given his years of experience.
He formed the team, he avoided MCL being bankrupt, he funded the engineers so that they can do what they need, he built the infrastructure. It is not necessary that only one in a team can take the credit. It is a teamwork.
"Max might take a car that is 3rd quickest and win in it..." bro that exactly what Max did this year so it's not a probability that he'd do that but an inevitability and depending on the other current drivers who happen to have the faster cars (like lando, oscar, charles, george , carlos and even lewis at his current age) Max might even be able to take the 5th fastest car and win in it...maybe no the chip but more than 1 race...
The issue with max is he isnt number 1 driver in any team for the simple reason he dosent allow his teamate to race him and he himself wants to win everything ... untill he races fairly againts checo with out crying then maybe he will get some acknowledgment

The team was trying to instill team work. Not sure if all the calls were right, but they are constructors' champs now

Too many people think drivers' championships are what the team strives for, but constructors championships are actually what the team strives for. It takes a team effort to win the constructors title as is shown by Redbull, who only has one good driver. McLaren wasn't even trying to win a championship this year, so they had no real strategy except win as many races as they can with either driver.

Nando switched places himself in the last sprint despite the team giving him the green light to win the race. Seems like the drivers are quite happy to let the other driver win.

As a McLaren fan it's incredibly frustrating. As an F1 fan I can't wait to see the battle between Lando and Oscar next year. Been rooting for Lando for years, but Oscar is going to be hangry next year.
