So for some reasons a few of my links do not work... Can you please refresh by clicking on this one: bit.ly/2V1Iiyu and feel free to ask me about any product I use. I'm working on fixing the links.
I agree with Yoann - too much distraction having to stop/film/discuss - takes you out of the zone of focus . So yes, I fully expect you guys to rip down it next run together.
@@remymetailler honnêtement vous avez une intelligence incroyable quant vous analysez c'ette style de chutes. I admire your ability to analyze and break down these features! I'm still scared of the 3-5 foot drops let alone these gnarly ones!
Your breakdown on the preparation, planning, risk identification, and strategies to manage the risk is a refreshing change from the 'just send it' crowd. I really appreciate these insights as it makes the videos a learning tool for how to approach features at our limits. As well as entertainment of course! I hope Yoann isn't too banged up! also, I fully endorse baguettes as unit of measurement.
Lol, this trail is so hard, I don't think anyone would dare to say just send it and also do it. Doubt the 'just send it' crowd comes near this trail with a ten feet pole.
Thank you for showing the process of thinking the lines before riding and more importantly the nervousness of hitting it! It kind of gives comfort to me as a mere mortal and shaking on the lip of a 1 meter drop that also superstar riders get nervous on gnarly stuff. Looking forward to part 2 and happy to see that Yoann walked that off with just scratches!
I love these guys at the top of each feature nervously laughing at how sketch they are and then proceeding to send every single one of them without hesitation. Must big crazy to be that confident in your abilities
I like the way you both think about the big crash and how important it is to take care of each other after this. Thanks for sharing this moment of friendship with us.
The tension is real! I get a lot of value from the discussion before hitting the feature and seeing how you minimize the risks. It's never nice to crash, but it does happen. Glad that you called it a day and wishing Yoann a speedy recovery.
Remy, these videos are some of my favorite out there, right now. People only ever want to show the successful attempts, and cut all the video to make it look like they strung all the features together in one take. It's super refreshing (and really satisfying to my analytical personality) to see you analyze, talk through, explain, and do (several to many) runups before attempting it. Thanks so much!!! PS - You all are in a completely different universe than I am but I can take your commentary and apply it to the little stuff that I try. My biggest drop was only probably about 8 feet; a blind-ish drop over a small boulder wall, to a nicely shaped runout. That was several years ago but I applied the same techniques you're using here. I probably did 4 or 5 runups to gauge speed, and used a stick as a marker where to put my wheels. It worked so well for me that I could tell if I wasn't going fast enough, and needed to put a little bunny hop on it. The only thing I wish I had done differently was to not be riding alone. ....though, that trail is a pretty well-travelled trail (easy ride around to the left) and didn't figure it would take too long for someone to find me. lol. Still, not the greatest idea.
These types of crash analysis videos are extremely valuable! It was great to hear you two talk through the processes of each feature and post-crash - also great to see Yoann's humility after the fact. Love watching you two ride together!
These 11:00 a.m. premieres really gut me. I get so excited every time I’m drinking my coffee before work and I see you have uploaded. Then, I get crushed when I see it premieres hours later when I can’t watch it. 😭 I need these vids in the am to get me through my days. 🙏
I absolutely love the working relationship / friendship you two share. Your on screen chemistry is spot on. It is very inspiring. Also, the way you two look after each other on the trail exemplify what we all should look for in riding partners.
Whoever said this is the most engaging stuff on YT just now got that right. I’m needing a moment after just watching. You guys are so good at letting us know how you’re thinking - really great entertainment, really great coaching, thanks 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Haha very good one, I also vote for it. The "é" adds a good french touch... reminds me Peter Sellers accent in Pink Panther - the "Reum" ua-cam.com/video/SnXtuktNdlM/v-deo.html , or the "Bumb" -- ua-cam.com/video/7jLSLQBOwX4/v-deo.html
Proper committed riding gents, much respect for giving us 99% of riders awesome content to dream about doing ourselves but don’t have the guts to try! Keep up the amazing work❤️
I really like how you and Yoann explain things. You two should make a video about body position on different situations, in my opinion the most important skill not just to be fast but more importantly to be safe
As a freerider myself (not nearly on the level you guys are) i absolutely love this typ of videos. I get adrenaline watching it. Even though i haven`t seen these features in person, i somehow can relate. Excellent riding right on the edge. Gnarly crash from Yoann, but even that looked professional. Glad he got out relatively unscathed ! Remy + Yoann + Steve = dream team.
Absolutely insane line and features !! major kudos for doing these !! hope Yoanne is ok, and hasn't bashed his head too hard !! keep these videos coming, love watching the super tech riding.
Yikes! Glad he's ok... I had a crash yesterday too, and my gut said I needed a day off, but I went anyway. A reminder of how importance focus and intuition is...
OMG, I'm glad Yoan got away from that, pretty much ok. It's easy to think that the two of you are always going to land it all without crashing, because of how good you guys are. I guess it's a good reminder that no one is exempt from falling. Take care of everyone and enjoy
Loving it, you boys are having too much fun, remember Yoann, Too much laughing leads to crying! Hope you are allright, keep them coming, cant wait for the next one.
I've been mountain biking sinse 1989/90 and I'm blown away by the progression in the sport. It's insane, where will it be in 20 years. Well done to Remy and his like.
Glad you guys were able to talk about it all and post analyze the things that may have happened, but more importantly walk away from it okay mostly! Much respect gentleman & quick healing and recovery wishes to Yoann 🙌🏼🚲💨❣️
Glad you're ok Yoann, definitely a testament to your strength and mobility that you can take that kind of event, and walk away, definitely learn as much as possible, and get your energy back to chill zone, etc, thank you guys for the incredible movie... question, do you guys talk in French a lot during these, like between segments, I wonder if it's easier to strategize and fine tune the approach, French is a pretty cool language
They both look composed on the drop but that landing seems unpredictable. YO technically lands it, but somewhere in the upstroke gets violently unclipped on one side and then washes out. I think Remi was right on the money when he mentions he likes to run his fork firm for these kinds of lines. 10/10!
Gotta love that the last 2 videos Yoann has been in has Remy and Steve telling him to slow the hell down because they both know how much of a speed demon he is haha. Hope Yoann is doing okay!
The name of the series should be Two baguettes searching for troubles >). Yoan i wish you a fast recovery and looking forward to seeing you two in more episodes. Big up for the baguettes!!
This is the best!! So cool to see this kind of stuff from ou and Yoan. Also super cool when there's also Steve! Damn one day a must come to canada to see that stuff! Amazing!!

Rémy how did you ride this line in the snow?! MENTAL!! I saw the vid but actually didn't realize HOW GNAR this is until now....that's MAD! Glad to see Yoann is doing good so far! Hopefully there will be no bad news later on🙏
Loved the video. Loved the friendship interaction. Loved the amazing riding. I don’t watch Friday fails so I don’t like seeing my heroes crash. I just had a simple crash that has side-lined me. I hope Yoann’s injuries are mild and he has a quick recovery. Best wishes on the upcoming projects.
Insane crash! You guys really take it to another level! I’m glad to see Yoann is ok, and looking forward to seeing him and you smash that drop again next time! Stay safe boys! 🤟🏼

Yes, please continue but stay healthy. What about showing your body protection? Please don't die for UA-cam. Its so funny to join your conversations👍
Great follow up albeit unplanned to your managing fear and risk vid

yep, makes the content unique
Yep, not the typical ride or die attitude, they actually want to continue enjoying riding their bikes instead of laying around in hospitals
