My favourite tip is the speed control, especially on the downhill drops, you always go so much slower than I’d imagine you need to do definitely going to practice slowing it down on such things 👍
Definitely speed control, the way you guys force the bike into the ground apply full brake and then let off immediately. Half the time I’m braking my bike is unweighted.
Yeah - it's fascinating isn't it? If I spend that long looking at things (obviously at a far lower level) I tend to psych myself out and never do it, but maybe I'm not methodical enough!
Love the way Steve is listening to his body and walking away from things he‘s not comfortable doing in the moment. That‘s proper advanced riding. Know when it is safe to push and progress and when it‘s not safe and set yourself back from injury. Super impressed - and the right message to send. Let‘s replace “just send it” with “be competent”.
Every time Remy drops a video I stop everything I’m doing and watch these gnarly edits, these videos teach me so much and help me progress. Thank You Remy!
Remy, this video is INCREDIBLE. I love the way you pieced it together and having Alex shoot those angles to really show you and Steve's body positioning which is not easily found in regular POV footage. Learn something new every time you guys ride together. More content with the two of you please! You should do a mini series with you and Steve haha
Both styles are so clean I think they did my laundry! Remy backs up the dump truck full of in-depth detail, unloads paydirt, and Steve just absorbs it all. Boom, the hammer gets dropped with precision. Line sniping 101. You dudes provide the hype!
You’re right. Neither helmet cam or external shots give the features true credit. I wonder whether 3D will ever be good enough to convey a true sense of what it feels like when you are riding.
My heart was racing just sitting on the couch watching Steve do the run ups. Can’t even imagine what is going through his head hitting a feature like that for the first time. Props you guys are truly pushing the limits of what’s possible on a mountain bike.
Watching Steve walk out of the garage, peeking back at his giant box of tires, is just so good! The stoke level is high and the video just started. Good on you Remy! You, Yoann, and especially Steve really get me fired up to go ride!
Super nice of you to help out a awesome fellow rider, that's what it's all about. Plus now I know why there is a shortage of tyres, you have them all. Lol. Brilliant video. Thanks
I love how Steve is known as the North Shore legend and has made a name for himself and getting all these sponsors. So awesome! Even Wade Simmons said Steve is setting the bar high for freeride.
idk why i still get mind-blown by the level of gnarly in your videos. i should just expect it now. really love how you explain every detail of the process. Brilliant!
Even though im kinda of a beginner regarding to skills, I really appreciate the emphasis Remy puts on building up to a feature and precision. It is amazing to see a pro rider showing the process and not just the end result. Thank you and massive props for backing Steve up with the maxxis deal! More Steve!
Congratulations Steve!! Remy, you are such a great ambassador for the sport and for the brands that sponsor you. The videos you guys put out are just Amazing!
Thanks so much for saving that drop for another day! Such a great example for the rest of us mortals! Great video all around. Congrats on the sponsorship Steve!
You are awesome riders with awesome mental control. I wish I could see you in real time at least once in my life. Camera never do justice to the crazy stuff you are riding. 👏👏
14:08 Floppy Bunny on Fromme is one of my favorite trails haha. Even the entrance to that took me a couple of years before I went down it. Great riding gents. I like watching in slow-mo and seeing your feet and the rest of your body positions.
This was awesome. Loved how you guys knew your limits. It seems like you know exactly what your skills can handle and there’s no fear involved. I need to work on that!
1. Can't think of any better way to find out Maxxis has your back 2. Saw Steve leave this for another day a while ago and I am always impressed by someone that knows and rides within their physical and mental limits... So they can ride another day! 3. So stoked to see Steve stomp it, but the first thing he said was, "that was way too slow." I'd say he was either going faster than Remy or popped more 4. The semi wet dirt is in the tires and marking the rock for each landing. Remy landed his first two within about a tire width of each other and maybe a few cm longitudinal distance, but Steve landed a full tire length farther downhill. Combined with landing farther and the longer wheelbase, his front was even closer to missing the transition. His second run he actually landed where Remy did the first 2x
Even before watching it I'd like to press 👍1000000000000....times What a bud! Extremely cool u got the maxxis sponsorship for Steve!👌 Brilliant content!
Another amazing video Remy! Love the technical breakdown of bike, body position, line, etc. Congrats to Steve on Maxxis hook up and can’t wait to see more videos. 🤙🏼🔥
AWESOME! Its so interesting to hear the technicalities in Remy's head, all the normal people watching this are like WTF..insane! Amazing composure, riding and video! Also, good lesson from Steve, take a victory, come back another day!
Awesome to watch and see your thought process and reasoning. I'd love to get some slowmo of the bikes in the landings, I think that'd be pretty satisfying to watch 😛
Amazing video... these videos give me that anxiety I feel when trying to hit scary new lines. So awesome to watch the next level skill you and Steve have.
I was so excited to make this video with Steve! What was the favourite tips we gave? Find the Assegai and DHR 2 on here: bit.ly/35vUrF5
For the last 2 years I ride with Assegai as front and DHR II as rear , so far it works pretty good actually !
My exact tire combo of choice as well! 🤙
Assegai front dhf 2 rear

Just brilliant. Love seeing the 'process' in action and especially impressed with the ability to know when to step away. Superb
Yeah - it's fascinating isn't it? If I spend that long looking at things (obviously at a far lower level) I tend to psych myself out and never do it, but maybe I'm not methodical enough!
Great point, they mastered the technic of when they are ready for the feature.
A box full of tires and Remy calls it a year's supply! One tire is more than a year supply for me! Great vid guys!
Huh? Change those things dude!
No kidding lol, that box is looking more like a life's supply to me lol. Ride 'em till they're bald!

I'm proud of Steve for tapping out. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to not chase the stoke. Especially when Remy is making it look so buttery.
Every time Remy drops a video I stop everything I’m doing and watch these gnarly edits, these videos teach me so much and help me progress. Thank You Remy!
Glad you like them! and I appreciate your support. You can help the channel by sharing it with your riding friends!
Remy and Steve are great! Amazing inspiration. Congrats on the sponsorship Steve!
@@remymetailler Will do Remy! 🍻
Amazing content. Every single time watching you ride those features. Thank you For that🙏

Cheers man, great to hear you enjoyed the video!!
Alex is the man

That line is 10x gnarlier in person! You guys are on another level!!!
You’re right. Neither helmet cam or external shots give the features true credit. I wonder whether 3D will ever be good enough to convey a true sense of what it feels like when you are riding.

Drops + Rolls + Squamish = Perfect combination for a ride

Thanks a ton!

It is so great to see you two work through a situation. The trust you each display with each other is neat. Well done guys!
You, Steve and Yoann (even though he wasn't with today) are always fantastic fun to watch!
Keep up the great work Remy!
Two masters of their craft. Loved watching your process on these gnarly features. 🙏🏻
Thanks Jay!
So next level, just amazing. Steve nailed the drop, if he isn't feeling the rest, no is the right call
I literally had sweaty hands seeing this guys hitting those features!!! So badass!!!
Very interesting and humble from you to know when to stop Steve!! Anyways insane feature!! Great video Remy!

That is really cool showing your guys some love most content makers seem to just take their buddies for granted
13:16 the way he endo so he perfectly alings with the drop omg
Spicy for sure!
That was so cool watching his face looking at that box of rubber.
Absolute gold! I don't think anyone could make a better video than this.

Amazing to see the process. Also trippy to see you on the trails last night. Was a little star stuck not gonna lie....
AMAZING! ... And Go Steve on the Maxxis sponsor, that's rad you so deserve it!
Video doesn't do justice how gnarly this feature is !! It is way gnarlier in real! You ROCK guys !!
Thank you!
Crazy how all the top-down shots look like he’s landing flat / mild slope after they drop.
But when looking up it, it’s like a wall. Holy crap!!
It is way steeper than it looks. Especially the bottom roll!
Sometimes it feels like you guys have a competition on who kills whom first...crazy guys
A pair o' Legends right here. That was super gnarly and high risk. Well executed, both of you! Cheers, lads!
You are awesome riders with awesome mental control. I wish I could see you in real time at least once in my life. Camera never do justice to the crazy stuff you are riding. 👏👏
remy you are a natural teacher - i see a coaching career in your future ;)
31:22 is why you came here. Landing pad in the crosshairs. Can’t stop watching this one.

Awesome video guys. So cool seeing the process and watching you analyze each element.
Honesty I felt nervous watching that. That footage gave more perspective for how big that line is. Epic
Me @ 23:30 "Man, that rock garden looks awesome. Wait a minute, THAT's the RUNOUT? "
Awesome. I like seeing the process. Stoked for Steve too! Keep it up!

Love those trails, someday I will get to 🇨🇦
I just love this stuff! Thanks Remy!
Such a sick line. I wonder how many people in the world can actually do that..?! 🤙🏼🤘🏼
not many I guess. Especially if you know how big that feature is in reality. It is a huge roll. Even the easiest line is quite difficult.
Excellent, thanks for sharing.
you guys make it look soooo easy..great video!!!
Such a fun day out! Gave me chills, again ahahah!
Awesome. You can tell how gnarly these features when someone as good as Steve a is a little hesitant! Still smashed it though 💪👍
Absolutely NUTS! LOL!!! So rad guys, yeew!
Thats so sick. Steve is a awesome pro
My two favourite mtb guys together, cool! :)
