Good video. You should have timestamps for parts of the rules, then the turns. 1:02 starts the first turn.

I do wonder how much negotiation there would be. Can't wait to watch it.

At 3:22:30 unrest in Africa should have increased, not in the Pacific. Which means there would actually have been an uprising check in Africa, not in the Middle East at 3:31:00.

"Drew had a power outage and had to drop out mid-teach, but we powered on without him."
Watt a shocking pun. Power outages suck. Mine breaks once a month cause the electric company doesn't care at all.

Like I expected. Little to none. There is definitely some areas where you could but it requires familiarity with the game. Nice learning game!

I haven’t watched the video yet, but this looks like the worst and best premise for a board game ever.

At around the 1:25 mark i see you reclaim influence from the exhausted box but this was after placing influence, I thought you couldn't do that, you can only do one or the other or settle an issue................military action being a seperate thing you can also do with with one political action, am I wrong about this?

This game seems really cool to me but it feels like it’s pretty polarizing. Some people can’t feel the theme at all and bounce off it, it seems.

It's a really smart, interesting design that (in my opinion) makes the fatal mistake of wanting to be a negotiation game without properly providing the tools and hooks to negotiate. Basically it wants to be John Company, but fails at it.

Maybe that’s the problem. It has “GMT” on the box but delivers a Euro game. Obviously I love John Company and I agree this feels nothing like that. But it does feel like a really fun cool Euro and might be better received if people went into it knowing that’s what it is.

I will say that I had been warned it was a euro before playing, and I still just found it an underwhelming experience. The sort of design that I'm glad to have played because the structure and mechanisms are interesting in abstract, but in terms of play it just wasn't compelling. But then again, I'm also not much of a fan of euro games, so it may just not have been the type of euro game to appeal to me.
