I absolutely love Sully introducing the squad at the beginning as these being the worst people for a co-op game, for the same people to then spend the rest of the video proving him right! (Well, Jon and Sully have great chemistry as always, but Laurie, Rosie, and Jon are basically all chaos in this video. x) ) As a side note, I now fully believe that Jon Gracey would unravel in a game of solitaire and somehow accuse himself of being the spy!
That last one hint was absolutely ludicrous, the bird cage linked to the officer locking up, the rope on the puppet linked to the rope weapon, and the conch had the same glowing light as the door in the kitchen! Sullivan and John are 100% justified in their choice
@@mohammadmurie Well the game is heavily flawed. For example, say the Suspect had only ONE person with the color red. And out of ALL the cards the ghost had, only 1 had the color red, but everything in the actual card not that 1 spot of color, leans heavily to a different subject. The GHOST knows it is the ONLY choice he had out of all the cards to best fit the 1 person. But NONE of the other players know that. They don't know that the color Red is the most important part, as no other cards have red. They don't get to see the other cards that were declined. So they don't get the option to actually see what was NOT Picked and eliminate facts with that information. This is a very poorly designed game, where it would not surprise me if the "Win" to "Lose" count for this game was heavily screwed to 99% lost, and only 1% of all players who have ever played it ever actually winning.
@Jirodyne yeah true I only seen people get to the final phase of the game on some twitch streams of a group or 2 a few times and like I think most of those times they lost at the final guess
@@Jirodyne I disagree. I have played this game 7 times with 6+ people (5+ mediums) and only once we did not get to the endgame, and two times lost the endgame. So 3 loses 4 wins. The hardest part is the endgame if you don't have a crow and you have bad cards. Usually the ghost tries to save some cards during the play for the endgame, so he has one or two cards that will surely fit (so he chooses much earlier in the game than in the endgame) I think this game is degined very well, only thing I don't like are the voting points, because when you get to the murder weapon quickly, the meta play is to guess wrong on purpose, so other players can vote "wrong guess" and get guaranteed points.
My friends and I play this game ALL the time and despite having little moments of "wow, RUDE" when someone puts a token indicating you are wrong next to you, this is... wild. Like... this is a cooperative game. I am WHEEZING. Why is everyone so aggressive? Wh- Normally we are like "oh yeah there is a lot of brown in your pic but did you see the mushroom? That's a clearly poisonous one, maybe it's the poison!". The most anger happens on the Ghost's side because the cards are bad lmao.
I absolutely love this channel. It’s the reason I’ve even gotten into board games. They have so many great collection starters and these videos are perfect for seeing which games I might enjoy. I doubt they will see this comment but just in general, thank you no rolls barred
Specially the masterpiece series, when i first got into the hobby i was overwhelmed with so many choices and i couldn't decide what to get to satisfy my needs. But the series helped me a lot, I've bought every game they recommended except for Mansion of Madness ( i couldn't find a copy in my country) and love them all.
Loving the "already absolutely furious with each other" energy from the start of the video. That first game must have been frightful to see even Sully this vicious! (Or maybe they were all just hungry and exhausted, poor things) Adam... I would have picked the same as Jon and Sully, and I had paused the video to think about it. [light spoilers] . . . . . cage = prison, marionette strings = rope, and the last is a stretch but I assumed bad cards... coins = saving = larder.
Without doubt the best board game channel- no, just the BEST CHANNEL- on UA-cam. No debate. Always great watching and learning (PS: Adam, you’re the reason my game group loves Cosmic Encounter). Also, every week I spy Villainous on the shelf in the bg and I wonder… could it ever get played here? I mean, think of the costumes and ROLEPLAY opportunities….. all I’m saying……..
Adam’s not in isolation because of *the thing*, he went into isolation because this chaos gave him a psychotic break. In all seriousness, get well soon, Adam.
What amusing to me is that I have played this game many times with family and friends. Not only has thew atmosphere been much...nicer, but we almost always win. I love these guys.
I definitely picked the cop in the end too. The bird cage was like a jail, and in the shape of his hat. The bird also in the location. The string like the rope. Etc etc.
Oh my god, that was great! 🤣 And they're playing "Dead of Winter" next week? Oh god....it's going to be SO much worse with Jon there! Jon and Dom playing it....hoo boy.....that'd make for some fun times!
I understood all of Adam's Clues. All of them make sense, that last one was so obvious!! This was amazing, I laught so hard and I was yelling at my screen, saying what are you all doing! Loved this
Ha ha! Brilliant playthrough. Last round is always difficult. So much ambiguity. Hope Adam is out of Isolation for Dead of Winter. Was the first game I introduced to my non-gaming friends to get them hooked on the hobby. Still love it and John’s favorite type(co-op with hidden traitor) by the sounds of it! 😂 can’t wait to see that.
Ill be honest I saw all 3 and would have never picked the one adam chose either. In fact it was my last choice. Fun game tho to see how different peoples minds work.
Adam was thinking too much about the clues he was trying to give, and not enough about avoiding the false clues he wasn't trying to give. We don't know his options, but you can't use that marionette with the ropes when the rope is on the board and not your target.
I was so sure about 5 and then at the last minute I thought "Maybe it actually is 4" and thought of reasons for each clue. But I thought the marionette was too much of a give away.
i deduced it was the 1st one there was the rope on the doll which pointed to the 2 and 4th choice but that was it for them, whereas 1 had loose connections for all 3 albeit i thought the cage pointed to the driver because there was a hand wearing a glove and the vase to the bathtub because of porcelain
I just got this game for Christmas so I was very happy to see this. I can't wait to try it out. I just hope it doesn't go quite this poorly with my friends and family. Very funny episode to watch.
my favorite things to do as ghost: 1. when using the crows, either be completely silent and put them up when the players are discussing, or interrupt them by literally just saying "caw caw, cawcawcaw, caw caw caw." 2. call out a color to give a vision to in the middle of a discussion 3. be able to give the vision card thats just cogs to the player with the driver
Man I love Mysterium, probably one of my gaming groups most frequent picks. I have to say though, they could have gone a little meta to make that final choice for Laurie in round 1 less stressful. Adam said when Sully got his right home he was very upset when he realized there was a stool, implying there was no stool for him to look at behind the screen. One of the reasons the game tells your ghost not to talk, it's too easy to inadvertently give stuff away lol. This was a super fun onr
@@11th-lemon ah yeah, I've been behind that screen many a time and it's a frustration that has bit me in the rear before. You only see the images that correspond to the players, you actually don't see and often aren't paying attention to the extra answers. The amount of times I though I gave a great clue, only to have it apparently perfectly represent a choice I hadn't even seen is too much to count lol.
Morons unite!! Mysterium is super dependant of your group and how you think. I usually am the ghost cause I own the game and I am introducing it to the other players, so they have to suffer through my thinking process. I really enjoy this when I get to play and its so nice to try and get inside your ghosts head. Are they focusing on the colors? The vibe (tm)? Or the actual things on the card. I would really enjoy seeing this again with different setup, maybe Tom as the ghost? A peek inside his thinking would be amazing.
Laurie: I think it's obviously the crypt. Picks something else Laurie: Then it must be the crypt. Gets new cards obviously being the crypt Laurie: well this is the same colour as the crypt and that one matches this object in the crypt so it's obviously the crypt. ADAM: To watch a longer, uncut version of this video (and a bunch more treats), join the NRB Patreon! www.patreon.com/NoRollsBarred
I love uncut things
Tom should be the ghost next time. He'd be absolutely silent and would fit the vibe perfectly
We needs to get on this!
Either that or Rosie and just watch as they try and figure out her train of thought
Adam: This is a cooperative game.
NRB Team: No.
Laurie is a good man. He asked Rosie what she needed, she responded, and he gave it to her. It just happened to be cursing and yelling.
Adam: “This is a family game”
NRB Group: *Yelling, Cursing and bickering*
Me: Just like home sweet home
Made me giggle 😂
U ok man
"YOU SUCKED SO MUCH SHIT YOU DIED FROM IT!!"
Ah, Thanksgiving.
Same

"Adam is in isolation" is an interesting euphemism for "sucks shit in hell", but I'll allow it.
Jeebus, what an episode.
I thought he was going to say that Adam couldn't present because he was (kayfabe) dead for a moment there!
That last one hint was absolutely ludicrous, the bird cage linked to the officer locking up, the rope on the puppet linked to the rope weapon, and the conch had the same glowing light as the door in the kitchen! Sullivan and John are 100% justified in their choice
mysterium is great because you can really just force the ghost to have a silent mental breakdown
Rosie is my absolute favourite addition to the team. Love her energy and sense of humor!
This is the most uncooperative cooperative game I've ever seen and I loved it. The ending was pure comedy bliss.
Laurie says: "Adam is in isolation'
I hear: "I tied up that bastard in my basement. Now I own NRB."
Just kidding Laurie. Should be a good episode!
A suspicion immediately confirmed by Adam forgetting Laurie's name.
That’s how El Fakidor took over Wrestletalk!
Very good point lol
They say that one day EVERYTHING WILL BE FAKIDOR, and it looks like Laurie chose to start with No Rolls Barred.
It was only a matter of time..
This game really hides the difficulty of the ghost with their limited hand of whimsical but also buck wild cards.
Yeah, being the ghost is really tough! But Adam sucks so much shit though!
And the psychics just going off the walls with what they think the cards are not matter if they make sense or not
@@mohammadmurie Well the game is heavily flawed.

4:50 Sullivan has the most accurate description of the players in this video's boardgame. He's the goat of NRB.
I love Mysterium and I love how they turned a family friendly game like this (even my mom likes to play this game) into ... This.

The utter duality of "Sorry Adam's family..." being immediately followed by "Hey! Addams Family (snap snap)" left me in tears. Jon, never change.
Adam: ‘remember, you need to work together’
NRB: ‘No, I don’t think I will.’
Hope the isolation doesn’t get you down Adam. Stay well and hope to see you on the Channel soon🤘
If this gets a second playthrough, I'm voting in Ghost Lawyer Dom as the ghost.
Everytime I watch these videos I wish I have friends like that. Damn what a lovely group of people

"Bustin' makes us feel good."
Give Laurie most NRB hosting episodes immediately.
This is the greatest ending to any board game I have ever seen.
Lovely to see you do the intro, Laurie. Hope Adam is doing well. Brooke also tested positive so wishing her the best as well
Laurie yelling at Rosie cause he's way too into the game is becoming my favorite thing
Laurie has absolutely impeccable style. Every single outfit he wears on this show is fire. 🔥🔥🔥
Ironically enough I think dead of winter will be less stressful than this, can't wait to see it though!
This games perfect for Rosie and sully. Happy they’re both included. One of my favorite games. Excited to watch.
This is exactly how all our plays of Mysterium go, and it's also why half of our group hates it while the other half loves it.
Also thank you for getting an episode out this week I was worried there wasn’t going to be one. Love all of you at NRB so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Isane episode. Had me in splits at 3 am. Get well soon Adam. Now I have to wait for another week for the next video.

I see Jon has that lovely blue nail varnish on again! Lovely as usual!
The big bold rings are good too
Oh goodness. Last minutes of everyone just berating Adam had me in tears. Thanks for the laugh. Great game and video as always.
What amusing to me is that I have played this game many times with family and friends.
Not only has thew atmosphere been much...nicer, but we almost always win.
I love these guys.
weirdly proud of myself for solving the murder. the chaos of this was just brilliant!
This was great. but I cannot wait for Dead of Winter next week. Currently my favorite game!!!!
"this ghost doesn't deserve to have his murder solved"
This is one of my top 5 videos. Adam throwing the cards at the end is my fav part next to at least we arent Laurie lol
I definitely picked the cop in the end too. The bird cage was like a jail, and in the shape of his hat. The bird also in the location. The string like the rope. Etc etc.
I love Laurie doing the intro, I think Laurie and Adam should take turns doing the intro. Or better yet try sully doing and intro
As long as we get puppet Sullivan for an intro
I wouldn't mind having the entire team switch the responsibilities within themselves every week, everybody has their own character now 😅
This is a great Jon game! I love watching him unravel.
I think this is one of my favorite things from NRB. I hope this comes back because I was laughing so hard.
5:01 as a P.G. Wodehouse mark I appreciated that comparison, Sully! 🤣
Love this game! My family uses "knock once for yes, twice for no" for ghost communication.
*knock*
"...yes?"
*knock*
"Damn it!"
Actually received Mysterium as a Christmas gift and I adore it! Looking forward to seeing how you guys tackle it!
This one is the literal definition of chaos and I live for it. Holy hell folks. Holy hell.
After watching this game I can honestly say I am NOT prepared for the inevitable train wreck next week's game will be.
One of the funniest episodes to date! Thank you crew

Amazing episode! Hope you guys can play it again sometime soon. I was laughing throughout, loved it all. The chaos was genuinely entertaining 🤣.
Next week is Dead of Winter? Oh boy, Jon gonna lose his mind about traitors :D
This is easily my favorite No Rolls Barred video that isn't Blood on the Clocktower
I'm with Jon and Sully- I was so convinced that it was 5!!

haha Laurie intro! This is gonna be a good one!
This was absolutely the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Morons unite!
yep, totally got why Adam was in isolation when the intro was filmed!
I need a "Morons Unite!" tee shirt... Maybe it should be "Morons Untie!"

Dead of winter with this crew.

Adam in the thumbnail: I'm blue daba dee daba die
I thought it was 3 cause the marionette had massive hair for the barber, the birds for the trophy room, the giant coins were heavy for the weights.
That ending!!!! LMAO!!!! Oh, you guys are great though. Good show, highly entertaining game! :)
we want puppet Sulivan for intro
Oh man I've been wanting them to play "Dead of Winter" but I didn't think it was going to happen. Can't wait.!

I like when Adam let's his natural hair color grow through...
WHAT AN EPISODE
while Laurie was explaining the game, I was just seeing Rosie as the ghost and no-one having any clue about what's going on
OMG, what an AWESOME game to end the year. Thank you for a load of shiii, I mean laughs to close out 2021; love you all!!!!!
Laurie: I think it's obviously the crypt.
Picks something else
Laurie: Then it must be the crypt.
Gets new cards obviously being the crypt
Laurie: well this is the same colour as the crypt and that one matches this object in the crypt so it's obviously the crypt.
Picks something else again
Laurie: huh, I guess it must have been the crypt all along!
I swear he was trying to lose on purpose.
Amazing, would love to see you play this one again!

Adam, I guessed the final round with your logic exactly.
