Well done and great find for only $10. Looks great in your house as usual. Keep up the amazing flips that we all love.
@Furnitureflipper Thank you! I really appreciate you being here! Hope to see you next time!
Love it! Well done. I have the same sofa in my home. I love how comfortable it is.
I love how this old piece turned out! Great job!
Thank you! 😊
LL, now do you get why I preach about thinning your stain? You have much more work time, and even if it is all the same kind of wood, you can put a second coat or third on the parts that are too light. I even thin down my topcoats, and just do more layers, but don't tell anybody.
That thing screamed 80's, the only thing you really did is take the orange out of it. Voila! You saved yourself a thousand bucks+ and kept this out of the landfill. That table is BIG and it now really does look current. Thanks.
lol! you are the reason I cut the stain! AND I liked the color much better! Heck yes, A whole lot of $$ saved from buying the one I thought I wanted from the big box store! Thanks for watching = )
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture Awe, nice comment and I like to think it is true.
One thing you are not mentioning is WHERE could you get a solid oak table made that well??? I bet the thousand + dollar Wayfair are probably solid particle board.
Love your vision for the color on the table looks high end
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
This is so beautiful.
Wow! So pretty. Love that color.
So glad you kept it! It's stunning!
It's so good! Thanks for watching !
What a beautiful color you transformed it into. Thanks for the great tips for refinishing wood to help us who are some timers.
I like the color!
It looks great Kara! Love the wood grain… it’s beautiful!!

That looks like something I would put into my home. Beautiful rich color.
I honestly thought you were gonna whitewash it, so gladbyou didn't.
Lol yes! I am also over the white wash. Lots of requests for it though but I’m not a fan in my own home
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture same. So over it. I was over it before it was ever a thing, come to think of it. Haha

Thank you @brendaphilyaw3677! This makes me smile! So happy to hear! Hope to see you next time!
I love the coffee table. And I love the way you cut the color with mineral spirits. We used to do that with auntie Sloan chalk paint, dark wax all the time.
Yes! I love it too. First time trying that trick
Another Beauty!! Loving the stain you created just by lightening it up with mineral spirits-great tip!! Also using the oil based poly with the amber tone-anther great tip. Fabulous piece!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful color.
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Gorgeous!

Thank you! I love it!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow! Actually, I can believe that orange tone table was only $10. Yuck! 😂 But you brought out sooooo much beauty! I love the color you chose! 😍
I really love the color you really did it justice. Are keeping this piece or selling? Great job thanks for sharing ❤
This one is just for me! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Love the end product. I do have a question I know that you have a surf prep sander so I am curious why you got the festool
thanks for watching! the festool is a workhorse for stripping finish off quickly, surfprep is for details and curves.
Hello from Davison Michigan!
Hello Michigan! I am from MI also! Thanks for watching!
Fun-tastic ! Did u get bow front high- boy/ 12:47 ?😁
BEAUTIFUL!! I think the glass alone was worth more thank $10, what a find. The color is great, looks so nice in your home. Isn't is a nice feeling to be debt free? Yes, it can be done (looks like you may have been at Dave Ramsey)?
Thank you! Yes debt freedom is amazing! Yes we got the privilege to be on the show and tell our story ❤️
@Lemons to lemonade You surprised me with mixing mineral spirits with stain! I just started using the mineral spirits...since it's used for cleaning paint brushes, wood etc...how does that work? It's such a strong odor I have to use it outside. Does the spirits evaporate with no odor? Very curious...just found your channel
Discard :) I started the video back up and you covered that - lol. My bad
No worries! Thank you for being here!
I would love for you to organize a Barbie challenge with other designers. 💗
And the thumbs up 👍🏻
I loved your tip regarding where to look to see what's trending. I hope those places do represent every state, not just a generalized idea. How much did you sell this piece for?
I kept this one jsut for me!
Just curious. Do you ever put a wood conditioner on your sanded furnitiure before you apply your stain? I have personally found it to go on more even however you have not mentioned that and your work is beautiful.
thank you! On the full video of this one, I go into that a little bit.
Very beautiful! ❤
Can i ask how much you sold this piece for? Xxx
I made it for me! BUT it's amazing what they are currently listed for on furniture sites.
Also, what's the difference between the Festool Rotex and the Surf prep sander for you? I thought you had the Surf prep already.
Yep, I have both. In a nut shell, Festool is for stripping wood quickly, Surfprep is for curves and edges. Thanks for watching!
question: i noticed that you used oil based products for this project. on previous ones, i've seen you use acrylic. you are using an air brush sprayer on both. i understand you clean it, but do you have 2 different ones that you use for oil or acrylic? or do you just clean it really well and not worry about the cross contamination? thanks for sharing your projects and how you do them. it is all very interesting.
Donna
I have 3 different sprayers bc the ones I use are fairly inexpensive so I have them labeled. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! ;)
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture
the last shots of the table look way darker than it did when you were cleaning the glass
Lighting in the room. It is the darker color in person
It turned out beautiful! The only thing that bothers me about you is your Amazon wish list, I know you are making good money flipping furniture so why would you ask for free stuff? Just wondering
A few reasons. It takes about 8-10 hrs to edit a 15 min video each week, that doesn't include that extra time it takes to film a project, that's just editing time. That is ultimately one or 2 extra pieces I could do a week that I won't get to bc I need to edit a free how-to for UA-cam. Smaller channels make very little in ad revenue, not a livable wage until you have done this for awhile unless you are just a page that has crazy growth right out of the gate but that hasn't been the case for me. It also gives a way for my very loyal viewers (so grateful for them) that have gotten a lot out of my channel, grown their own businesses or just successfully flipped a piece they didn't know how to, a way to say thank you on a personal level, by pouring back into my business, which is super sweet & always appreciated. I don't ask for it, just put it in the description as an option for those who feel so inclined. Likes, shares and comments are wonderful as well!
Why is the video where you talk so low res, but the furniture footage isnt?
I was hoping you would do a lighter paint wash on this piece. The darker stain is Meh.
Light paint washes are on the way out. This tone is perfect.
Yea I agree. I am not putting anymore in my home. I feel like dark rich tones will be coming for fall.
Christina needs to teach how to dress for work. Some of you are showing 2 much. Ru working or trying to sell 2 much skinny
Wow…
