Holy Crap! I do believe you may have cracked the holy grail of hitting the ball just like your perfect practice swing! I, like many others, have a picture perfect practice swing....then I step up to the ball and suddenly I turn into Rodney Dangerfield! What cured it?..... _ROLL THE ANKLES!_ I've never heard that before in any type of instruction. Thank you, sir! 👍🍸🥃
Great video can’t wait to try this . I’ve battled trying all the wrong stuff for years so glad I found your stuff. If I can’t figure it out after this I’m gonna schedule a lesson and make the trip from Virginia
Maybe right hand turned to much to the right so driver you can lean back and hit that ok .. but with the iron will have to much shaft lean so low ball flight
Good tip Roger thank you you just made it so simple thanks for pointing this out to me and I'm sure many others I will pass it on except who play $ for lol❤😂😊
RK..........thanks very much....for your basic golf swing tutorial analysis ......I need help on transition from the top to impact. Like the part about ..don't have to drop down trail elbow in front or throwing a rock underhand. Could you just do one on from the top down to impact. Seriously good work very generous thanks for sharing
Your very welcome... check out my last video . There really isn't a top . The pressure shift happens while the club is still going back . My last video explains it
Thanks Roger . This video addresses the problem I committed on yesterday . I was definitely turning my hips too much and getting stuck behind ball . I think that I now understand that the pelvis ( hips ) move up and down with very little movement around . Another issue I struggle with is club face opening too much in the backswing . I’m afraid that under pressure I roll my wrist open and loose it to the right . Any suggestions on fixing this default move . Thanks again . Banks
Roger, Could you discuss how good golfers create proper shoulder tilt angle of shoulder inclination to the ball? I believe touring pros are all about 50 degrees, while amateurs are invariable well under that number. Look forward to your thoughts and many thanks.
How did you practice to get these moves correct Roger? I am a fast swinger. Always liked Mike Austin and Mike Dunaway. But can't seem to time this swing.
I always have a feel of the weight on a string feel along with the pivot So the double pendulum of the wrist joint is always felt . It helps promote timing
I think at times I have done that in front of a mirror .. But really didn't get the swinging feeling until I did one arm swings and weight on a string feel
Do yourself a favor and go see Roger in person. His understanding of the golf swing and natural body movement are unrivaled. He has a keen eye and is not hesitant about putting his hands on you to insure you understand proper movement. Videos are great, but it is easy to misinterpret information.
I let my left ankle come off the ground like Mickey Wright or J Nicklaus and it has helped my swing emormously... I think it is the same concept you are showing us here. btw...NIce to see a golfer in his 50's in good shape. The senior tour is full of alot of fat, pro golfers....never understood that.
Hoping to launch website be end of next week ! ... Look forward to working with you . Thanks for the compliment. It's easy to lose shape for guys as dad bod is real . Have to make it a priority and it's easy to let it slide .
this Mike Maslaska guy is a very popular long time teaching pro on YT. i like him. but he has very strong opinions about the lead wrist and not turning over. i think he's wrong, at least for me. i agree with you, the lead wrist spins through the forearm, and the right throws straight. at least it does for me. lots of theories out there about hands and wrists. i don't know who's "right" but i have figured out what works for me. if i try and force any other motions i get stiff and mechanical and shit goes sideways.
If you look at malaska's videos I'm pretty sure you'll find he actually tells you the lead wrist and forearm rotate, he does a drill with left hand only and this makes that pretty clear. It's the right hand that he advocates as the under release throwing action that minimises club face rotation. The 2 hands together blend these motions, pretty much as was described here briefly.
Pretty awesome. Safe to say since the feet are on the ground, the ankle roll is the only leads..everything above responds...same with the grip. Grip is the only connection. Keep your shirt on next time 😂
Lol! You will never know until you try! I practiced this a few years ago for 3 hours the day before my round and just threw caution to the wind and started birdie - birdie. I am not a good player. My scores before this round were mostly in the 80-86 range on 6100-6300 yard courses from the white tees. I shot a 70 (-2) the next day. It was like you could make this swing with your eyes closed.
Excellent demonstration. Really helped me. thank you
Awesome!! Your very welcome

well explained Roger...appreciate uploads
Your very welcome . I hope people's golfs games are improving because of it
Your explanation are great.. I swing the rope everyday to get my body working correctly.. drivers good irons not so much low ball flight. Thx

Your grip isn't correct ... that changes everything
Could you consider a video on spine angle through your swing cheers Mate!
I can . However the pelvis going up and down with the walking motion is how the spine works .
Yes please do

@@rkswingking Practice very slow?
I think at times I have done that in front of a mirror ..

Alot of 9 to 3 swinging a club and a weight together .. they synced up
@@rkswingking Did you make a video with the one arm swing and weight on a string feel?
Would love to see how you chip and pitch Roger . Is it similar with the ankle roll ?
That's the next video .. thanks!
Video updated
Can you please demonstrate and explain with knees flex?
sure can, thanks for the request
