I love your double oven. I live in San Antonio andthe heat and mosquitoes are unbearable. You are just so wholesome Classy with lots of Love and Sunshine ❤️🙏 🌞. I made your lemonade btw. Delicious 😋 ty.
Full respect to you for blurring out your kiddos. Not enough parents give thier kids privacy on the internet sometimes. That said, I love your videos so much ❤
Just an idea: plant some things that deter those pesky mosquitos! Some herbs, like rosemary and basil, can do double duty. Flowers like lavender, marigolds, and scented geraniums can also help keep them at bay. Also be sure to have good drainage and empty and standing water often, like birdbaths. It's awful to get eat up while spending time outdoors!
ALSO ADD IN: A few Lemongrass and Peppermint plants throughout your garden as natural insect repellents, too. Helps To Repel- Mosquitos, Beetles, Waspers & Hornets, Snails & Slugs and a wide variety of tiny little biting No-See-Em's... as well as Field Mice that like to come in to find a warm cozy new spot to set up house once colder weather sets in every year.
Beautiful patio. I love seersucker in summer. It's so comfortable. I cheat with my plants and add a few silks with the live ones. The ones on my porch in old-fashioned hanging baskets are all silk. Dinner sounds good, too!
lovely patio! the furniture is really charming. i don’t have an outdoor dining area but it looks nice. mosquitos keep me indoors at this time of year but that sounds amazing in the cooler fall and spring time.
I just love your lifestyle and videos. I am 65 so I do remember some of what you do when I was a child and I definitely remember the patterns you use. Thank you for sharing…
I really like also that you are a conscious partner and parent and you keep your family private, by not showing and blurring their faces. I wish other parents and in general people would learn that from you too.
As someone who lives in mosquito land as well, try spraying your patio down with strong peppermint tea, I’ve been doing this for the last couple weeks on my porch and have noticed significantly less tiny vampires when i go outside. Plus it doesn’t smell bad!
Double ovens, always have lamented since i was a kid lack of double ovens. When i redo my kitchen in my stucco 2008 cookie cutter, leaving the wall mount and changing the drop in cook top to a slide in with oven
Making an effort to make everyday life special has helped so much with my mental health. It’s why I get dressed up everyday, and eat outside. It’s why I use the nice dishes I thrifted because it’s an easy way to boost my mood even if it’s just a little.
I need to locate your address and come over for dinner, lol. On a serious note, I am just admiring and enjoying how you live your vintage life... It's not just in fashion, but it's your lifestyle.
Oh yes must do the patio even for breakfast or nice cocktails late as the sun sets oh yes must switch it up sometimes I love the recipe content that you have done the bread and the salad we like that a lot it is very Cooling😊❤😊
Yes! We switch it up. I would do more and enjoy more out door fun if it wasn’t for these pesky mosquitoes 😖 Your spread looks beautiful as always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely. I just cooked similar to the baked ziti when I made baked cavatelli casserole on Monday before I went to praise dance practice at my church. My apartment was built in the 50s so I have a vintage styled oven I made everything with. I boiled my noodles separately until I drained the pasta and set it aside. I then cooked up the ground sausage along with zucchini, onions, and mushrooms. Once sausage was cooked and vegetables sauteed, I seasoned the food with the seasonings on the recipe and other seasonings I love using anyway. Then, I added the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes until it boiled before I simmered. Once filling is done and cooked yo uour liking, mix in the noodles with the filling and put it in a 9x 13 baking pan before baking. Once the casserole starts setting, sprinkle Italian cheese on and bake until a nice color on top. It's become my new favorite dish and I will definitely do it again.
I heard if you want to get rid of mosquitos, you can do some things to attract dragonflies to the yard and they'll eat the mosquitos (unless you don't like dragonflies lol) I haven't done it, but that's what I heard
Have you tried mosquito sinks? They work great and a couple packs will last you all season. They’re species targeted bacteria (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis aka B.t.i.) that nix 🦟 larvae so they never develop into adults. Here in the wetlands deterrents/repellants barely register to the bloodsuckers so I’m trying everything.
My husband was next to me as I watched this, and he said, "yeah! Sometimes we eat inside the car at Taco Bell. Sometimes we go into Chick-fil-A..." It made me laugh so hard, so I just had to share. Truthfully, he does most of the cooking in our house since it helps him unwind and flex his creative powers. I act as his prep cook. His techniques and skills are well beyond my capabilities, but he's taught me a lot.
Is the Kitchenaid stand mixer considered vintage to your time period? That's one thing I couldn't live without in my kitchen, a stand mixer of some sort. 😊
You're such a good chef!! And the sun protection thing is real. I've been trying to force myself to wear long sleeves in the heat 😅
Hahaha I wear the long clothes for the bugs. Around noon they don’t seem to bite then I can change 😂
Inside only. Allergic to bugs.

So fancy because of the nice bottle it comes in 😂 that was so me as a child with apple cider and a plastic champagne flute

I love Americans saying "Patio"
Beautiful esthetics
Omg girl my backyard is the same. My husband and I laugh because we’ve gotten soooo many times that we wonder if we are immuned to it or something.

Vanilla extract watered down is a great mosquito deterrent. They hate it
I was wondering why the camera was blurry at the end, but she was trying to blur the little girls face 😅
Too many mosquitos by the pond behind our townhome. We don’t eat out there any more. My husband prefers to eat inside.
Love your vids and no shade but that housecoat looks like it’s from an even older era than 50s…🌱💀💀
I knew it
I cook outside when it is hot to save the AC.
We used to do the same.
Hey, Since the yard is a mosquito sanctuary and your family eats out there often how do you guys enjoy your food without being bitten?
No. We don’t have outside area for eating or anything at all.
Where have you been ???
I miss your content
Very nice 👌🏽 🩷😊
Just not in Florida 😒 with all those bugs swarming every single day.
Where's your apron?!
Do you live in North Carolina? I know you've said but I have a mind like a sieve
I was wondering too. I live in Charlotte and mosquitoes are crazy this year!
Can I come live with you and your family?
Have you got an unmanned sister. I'd like to meet her.
“Unmanned”. I’ve never heard that before. 😂
