Fun ride! Tip, start down hill mountain biking as a practice for higher skill sets on a motorcycle. If you get more comfortable going down hill without a motor or high suspension, on and with it all these long decents become super fun and easy. Just set it in first or second gear let out the clutch and balance the front and back brake while letting the engine do most of your breaking. It's all about body positioning and balance. On a decent if you get off the seat and hover your hips deep over the rear tire, then the bike will absolutely make the hill without you all by itself. You just need to balance while it does it's thing.
Nice job! That's the Saints John to Mid Fork Swan loop. It's no joke. I've done that both directions on a KTM 690 Enduro R. I've done most of the trails in this area over the last 12 years. When you get to the end of Saints John (13:25) you are at Glacier Ridge. Right is to Wise Mt and North Fork Swan also very difficult. Left brings you to another intersection where you went right to Mid Fork. If you go left there down Deer Creek, you would go back to Montezuma. About a 1/2 mile after getting onto Deer Creek Radical Hill peels off to the right. This is the downhill direction for radical hill which is much easier on a motorbike. At the end of Radical Hill it Ts into the Webster Pass trail, Left would be back to Montezuma, right takes you over Webster Pass and on to 285.
Some great riding, just a few little challenging section. Oh and there is a bypass at the last descend off the tundra, I missed it 🤣 I want to go back soon and try Webster Pass.
All you had to do was just pick slightly different lines than you did and easy peasy!! 😂 Dude kudos for going down those gnarly hills, the added weight of enormous balls makes it more difficult I'm sure!
@@AdventureTomek Yep after our little trip, I watched a Jeeper vid that took Webster Road to the summit and it looked waaaay smoother, and still scenic af. Im down for either this weekend or next!
@@AdventureTomek I have it as well although I have a 24' with the updated display. The LSK work like a charm though and you can just control it via the ABS button on the dash and it stores your setting so you don't have to keep doing it. Then you can turn the ABS back on when on road if you wish.
Awesome video and no way in hell I'm running that trip on my T7. It's too tall for me and that terrain! Noticed your carpuride is off? Broken? I've got the same one, bought it based on your video 😊
I ride offroad on the stock tires too. I figure I should wear them out before I buy a new set. Honestly I still haven't decided on what tires to get yet.
All depends what you want out of them. I went pretty aggressive with my current set. The front and rear are rated 80/20 Offroad/HWY Link to the vid showing the tires ua-cam.com/video/v5KDygFWte4/v-deo.html

This ⬆️. I started riding technical single track on mountain bikes and holy cow does it translate nicely to the moto world!
That was an exceptionally cool video. That trail was treacherous but wow, some beautiful views. Well done sir!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for swinging by the channel

I would like to go back soon and explore more of that area.
I’ve ridden trails just like that in Montana with my T7. It is one helluva workout! Great job and nice video buddy.
Right on!
Wow that was intense. Especially there towards the end and the major fall. Great job on coming down.
This was a fun one, definitely one of my favorite rides this season
Absolutely beautiful there!!!
That's a rough route, in that same area is a climb known to really mess 4x4s up. Georgia pass is a ton of fun too.
I missed the alt route off the tundra and got us in the steep descent mess 🥲
Would really like to ride Webster Pass here soon
Great riding with you Tom! thanks for the help with that 20' of rock descent I was out of breath and those jeeps were on my ass at the worst spot 😅
That sure was a fun one! Yeah dude, I had to commandeer your bike thought you were gonna pass out on me.
Webster Pass????
Great video man, excited to try this loop on my T7 in the coming weeks!
Thank you! We might be headed back that way to try Webster soon
Thanks man, I appreciate the gpx files! I will try it on my T7 soon! 🙌🏻

Those Jeeps were right on you at the steep downhill!!
Yeah, that was a bit stressful. They finally stopped and waited until we got down.
Great group of jeepers though, we chatted a bit at the bottom.
@@AdventureTomek Nice!
Living in the East coast is my dream to ride out here. Awesome videos keep up the good work
You have to do it someday! Thank You!
Awesome ride dude. Been meaning to do that pass. Went down pretty hard by mount hernon so it might have to wait lol
I really want to go back and ride Webster Pass.
Thanks for watching!

We’ll have to try Webster pass from Montezuma, I want to do that soon.
Thanks for watching!

You’re a heck of a rider.
Thank you, trying to get better every time I go out.
Get the LSK module for the ABS so you don’t have to constantly reset it for off-road. It is worth every penny and works flawlessly. 😉
I have it. Tom does not yet.
@@elidirty-6er542👍🏻 Makes the Tenere operate like it should from factory.
I’ll have to look into it, I might just pull the ABS fuse next time… I’m cheap

It was off at sometimes. Work fine on the trip. Im testing out a similar unit from a different brand, see how it compares to the Carpuride
been there done that on my T7 good riding
🤘🏼
Looking forward to seeing Webster Pass next time. Never been on that one either
Another epic video. Do you prefer the T7 over the 1190?
I find it much more manageable off road.
Nice 890!

I absolutely love the Motoz rallZ tires. All the traction! Downside is you’ll basically burn em up on one to two BDRs.
Assuming you guys took the tire pressure down from street pressure for this trail? if so what were you running at?
I usually just keep them at 30psi front and rear
Going the opposite direction would have been a beast
Might have to try that with the luggage off and low PSI…. And some tow ropes
Thanks for watching!
What direction did you ride. . .where did you start and where did you end?
Good stuff!
We started Montezuma and took a right at the sign towards St. John.
GPX Gaia file in the description box
GPX tracks? I'd love to do this.

3:11 3 minutes in, I’m worn out!!!!
🤣
What exhaust do you have?
Alipovic 😅 they sound good and relocate the stock pipe for $200
🤣🤣🤣
It’s off AliExpress, I’m happy with it…. I’m not paying $600-$800 for an exhaust… it’s not a race bike
@@AdventureTomek I don't blame you. I'm tempted between the standard camel and something like what you've got
Here is a vid on the high mount mid pipe
