Remember, that's The Beasts of Pandora, by Sir Hammerlock! If you don't buy it, you'll die!"
One thing about threshers. They're an invaisive species that wasn't native to pandora prior to borderlands tps and instead resided exclusively on pandora's moon elpis. Slappy, the thresher that screwed over hammerlock was the first pandoran thresher and after maiming the poor dude it escaped and populated pandora.
Adding on to this, the second of the two threshers you send to Hammerlock in TPS is likely to be Terramorphous, as he refers to one of them as Terry after you turn in the mission. The one that grows up to be Slappy isn't namedropped there, but how big they are in 2 and being the one to mess up Hammerlock are evidence enough that Slappy's the other thresher
While the reason is "its a video game", lore-wise I'm surprised a species adapted to such low gravity would be able to so easily thrive on Pandora itself.
I think it's really cool that Badass Marauders wear Lance trooper armour, it subtly hints that either some bandits salvaged the suits or Lance soldiers integrated their skills into bandit ranks.
Fun fact: "Vermivorous" literally just means 'worm eater'. Considering the other Pandoran wildlife, this could suggest that varkids, or at least vermivorous specifically, feeds on either threshers or sand worms.
I love when Rats keep eye contact with you while doing stuff with loot, they know exactly what they're doing and they're milking it for all it's worth.

They did expand on rats in the pre-sequel. During a quest, you learn a lost legion scientist made geneticaly altered worms that caused madness in the host.
In BL2 they are implied to be a result of experiments, with the TMNT reference quest, Splinter Group, where Tannis says they are a result of Hyperion experimentation. Maybe Hyperion were trying to study the worms.

Pandora has really long and weird seasons and when Dahl first landed on the planet, it was just leaving a wet season, during which there were no Rakk or Skag, but lots of scythids. Simply put, trading intelligence and combat skill so that they don’t murder your entire camp.
Havent finished the video but a probable cause for scythid erradication could have been the introduction of the alien underground dwelling treshers from the moon as seen in bl tps
My headcanon is that threshers drove scythids to extinction after they got brought from Elpis to Pandora by Hammerlock and a bunch of vault hunters. Both species live underground and favour poluted areas. When it comes to guardians, I also blame the Pre-Sequel vault hunters for their absence in BL2. Their presence on Pandora might have been orchestrated from Elpis and well ... guess what the final boss of the Pre-Sequel is.

Man, who the hell thought making a "Wormhole" Thresher was a good idea. There are many enemies in 1, 2, and TPS I could name for being the biggest asshole of Borderlands. But Wormholes? Whole other level. And of course, I have Sir Hammerlock to thank for that.
I have a theory that treshers as an invasive species killed entire population of scythids (thats cool, because scythids trigger my arachnophobia much more than treshers)
Loved the video, never thought I'd find a video on the enemies of pandora, do you think a video on the enemies of TPS is possible? I know it's not a well recieved game but there are people who enjoy it.
Good idea! i went into this thinking of splitting the enemies up into Planets (hence why BL3 will be its own thing) so covering the moon of pandora next makes sense! also ive been getting into TPS recently and i love it a lot more than when i originally played, a really cool game ill definitely cover thanks!
Yeah no hate, but you missed types of crab worms, hammerlock enemies, drifters, warewolves and zombies... can only imagine how much work this all took, so can guess it wasn't easy to keep track of the literally hundreds of different types of enemies just within these two games alone. Edit: didn't realise all the DLC added enemies had been left till the end, My bad for not consuming all this tasty content before commenting
Kinda sad Drifters are barely mentioned they're definitely one of the most interesting pandora creatures to me, and they freak me out because of my arachnaphobia
You should definitely do one of these on the pre sequel as well. I know I'll get hate for this but i think the pre sequel is one of the best most balanced experiences in borderlands
Hey you may rag on how expensive the Exploder loader is, but I guarantee you, out of all of hyperion's bots they have the highest kill count against players
Love it!! Now....do one about all of the glitches in Borderlands lol. Seriously. I've got a slag glitch on my Assassin and it suck. Now I think I have a "corrode and gun slinger" glitch that I can find anyone else talking about.

Kind of made me want to go back and play them again. Sadly, I have Borderlands 1 on CD and have no way of loading into my computer. Remember games on CD? yeah, I'm that old.
I appreciate the watch! Yeah I had battlefield 3 on games for Windows Live and couldn't play it after they shut the service down, RIP CD games for PC ahahaha
Fun fact about the threshers: they are an invasive species to pandora from its moon elpis and its thanks to hammerlocke having one irresponsibly smuggled off moon
So, a fun fact about Skags (and by extension, owls here on Earth) Because of the way they regurgitate waste, it can be implied they don't have a full digestive system, as in no anus. Their guts just loop right back into their stomach, and anything they can't digest is just vomited right back out. Judging by that, and how some can literally vomit acid, it's safe to assume they can digest and melt quite a lot, up to metal.

You Can Watch The First Video About The Weapon Manufacturers Here!!: ua-cam.com/video/f7mVyhwmtV8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=LFXGaming
Edit: Just noticed i listed The Name Change Of Marauders But Like Nothing else, Honestly Skipped My Mind Why I Only Mentioned them But hopefully yall can forgive me
The rats were expanded upon in the pre sequel and given lore to their insanity
BL1 and BL2 had very memorable and iconic bosses and mobs, BL3 enemies in general just weren't as memorable imo
Someone has probably said it right now, but the name of the lab rats in subsequent playthroughs is pronounced "R. O. U. S." not "Rous." It's a reference to the princess bride, and stands for "Rodent of Unusual Size"
Honestly given that gearbox did develop a dlc for Half Life, Scythids feel like Borderlands’ version of headcrabs but more annoying
if the trusties survived into boarderlands 2, then that may explain why bandit weapons have such large magazines
Man, who the hell thought making a "Wormhole" Thresher was a good idea. There are many enemies in 1, 2, and TPS I could name for being the biggest asshole of Borderlands. But Wormholes? Whole other level. And of course, I have Sir Hammerlock to thank for that.
Nomads always did have a commanding presence to them. Didn't know it was an aspect of gameplay
I have a theory that treshers as an invasive species killed entire population of scythids (thats cool, because scythids trigger my arachnophobia much more than treshers)
I wish borderlands had more passive monsters, so it would be more like a actual ecosystem and it would be fun to have something not killing you
Nomad ftw
Midget Nomads being forced to fight off regular Nomads and you at once felt good. I wanna play as a Vault Hunter Nomad in BL4
Instant subscribe and hell yes, I'm watching the whole thing, I love longer videos
I'm so glad this dude exists
I hope you eventually do this with Borderlands 3
I like how Ava is universally hated by everyone ^^
Mothrakk and son of mothrakk should be in the rakk category
I found your channel with your manufacturer video and i love them. Imma binge watch them
Your TF2 Scout's sense of humour freezes me out with its obnoxity; yet watchable and - at its rare apex moments - enjoyable.
That was painful, and great at the same time. It made me laugh here and there. It was like reminiscing the fun, pain and pleasure of the old games. Kind of made me want to go back and play them again. Sadly, I have Borderlands 1 on CD and have no way of loading into my computer. Remember games on CD? yeah, I'm that old.
I appreciate the watch! Yeah I had battlefield 3 on games for Windows Live and couldn't play it after they shut the service down, RIP CD games for PC ahahaha
justice for Rakk hives not earning the recognition they deserve
Fun fact about the threshers: they are an invasive species to pandora from its moon elpis and its thanks to hammerlocke having one irresponsibly smuggled off moon
There are also hyperion personal in bl1, in the claptrap Assassin dlc
So, a fun fact about Skags (and by extension, owls here on Earth) Because of the way they regurgitate waste, it can be implied they don't have a full digestive system, as in no anus. Their guts just loop right back into their stomach, and anything they can't digest is just vomited right back out. Judging by that, and how some can literally vomit acid, it's safe to assume they can digest and melt quite a lot, up to metal.
Guardians do appear in bl2 (kinda) there is a pit with a location name that (kinda) explains that jack killed all of them and started dumping them
I think Brick would win but that fight would sure be explosive
Hopefully one for borderlands 3 comes out.I love the maliwan dogs
