So sick! I've been flipflopping between getting a P23 or a Perkons. I'm looking for 2 things: crunchy percussive sounddesign and heaviness, and being able to do ridiculous freeparty style livesets. Videos like this are definitely pulling me towards the P23. Bye bye money
Hi! I’ve had both, I can definitely say that Perkons lends itself better to live performance due to the immediacy of the sequencers, the banks/patterns, recallable parameters It’s a very different sound though. I would say the Perkons has a much “heavier” and aggressive sound than the Pulsar, which is a more experimental and subtle in the tones it can make. Definitely try them out before you get them if you can. Hope this helps!
If you have anything that can be used or modulated get the p23. The cross modulation possibilities are endless and incredibly. Agree with the above poster though re the playability of the Perkins
Really great! I've never thought about modulating the Bass module warp with the data pin. Did you record into the looper and then speed up the clock tempo?
Awesome stuff! I'm also your 666th subscriber!
Lovely work on this Ben !

That bass voice sounds great. Like toms and bass all at once.

What is this device? I like it
SOMA Labs Pulsar-23, a modular percussion/drum machine, FX & sequencer!
