- I've received my Peak Design 45L Travel Backpack after a successful Kickstarter and have had a chance to take in on a couple of short trips. Here's a look at the features of the backpack and what I'm liking and not liking so far.

A multi stop and flight travel has been scheduled. And an opportunity to test a new travel pack. I traveled to S America and was way too heavy. I used your link to order the Peak Design bag. Thanks for your channel.
Glad it was helpful! Let me know what you think of the bag after your trip. Safe travels!
Great review. One thing, I've been using the Everyday backpack for over two years and the Travel backpack since I got it in January this year, and haven't had any issue with the sternum strap whatsoever. In fact, this is the only design I've seen that let you attach and detach it single-handed, which is pretty convenient if you are reaching out for your camera using the side access, and want to put it back on. You simply lose the sternum strap, hook it to the main strap, and tighten. Left hand only, and your camera never left your right hand. This is something simply impossible to do with a buckle type sternum strap.
Good point!
Hi Penny,
Thanks for the honest review on the 45l.
Just subbed.
I was tossing around between the PD 45l and the Atlas Athlete (there’s also the Adventure if you need bigger size) but in the end I bought the Atlas Athlete. Allan is the founder and he wants to stay small to personalize his service and so during purchase and after, he stays with you.
Look it up as it has both gear and non-gear and what’s most important for me is comfort.
I am still looking at the PD 45l for comfort but may wait until version 2 as two points you highlighted were my concerns, comfort with waist and shoulder straps and weight of bag.
Keep coming with the content!
Cheers

Thanks! Be sure to check out the follow up vid where I detail what all I packed and how it performed for a 2-1/2 week trip to Spain and Portugal.

Looking forward to the follow up.
the tech pouch can be filled as you had hoped, just give it a dy or two and it stretches perfect and will still slim back down after and the again allow you to fill it up. great product just my input
You're absolutely right. After taking it on the trip I did find it to be a little more flexible and fit all I needed.
Thorough! Thx
does the sling 5L bag work well inside the backpack setup to open into the side access? thanks! enjoying your real life reviews.
if expanded it become how many Liter ?
Versus the farpoint you mention, what would be the + and - ?
