I always loved Super Puzzle Fighter. It’s a pretty deep puzzle game. You can really set up combos. Like the fighting games you need to learn the opponents and what their drop patterns are too if you really want to be good at it.
The disappointment for me; is that I love the Street Fighter cabinet design, but I want the games in the Megaman one. I really wish we could have these on carts so we can mix an match. As is, I have to pass.
MichaelB, I’ll let you know that you inadvertently made my decision to purchase my Evercade Alpha. Nearly every video of yours shows your iiArcade demoing Moon Patrol in the background. I drooled because I love that game. When I found that the iREM 1 cart had it that was all I needed to justify the tabletop purchase. I ordered the Megaman because I already have an Arcade1UP Street Fighter II. Can’t wait to get mine. Thank you for the push that I needed. 🖖🏼
These look really cool, I just wish that they had 8 buttons instead of 6, also the price is pretty steep when you can get a VS-R with an included cart for only $99, and it supports up to 4 players.
The guy from Blaze mentioned (in the interview you had in the Super GameRoom Dudes channel) that the Namco cart would work in the Alpha because their license with Namco didn't allow them to have the games play on a console that connected to a screen, and since this one has no HDMI out they could make it work.
I'm not a big fighting / beat-um'up fan so I pre-ordered the MegaMan Countercade, can't wait for it to arrive as I have about 30 Evercade Carts in my library
Great Review! I so badly want to bolt down your table though! LOL… But seriously…You always spend enough time to cover everything with details. I’m guessing there will be different form factors over time and that a 3rd party will find a way to offer something that will cover the exposed cartridge ports when not in use… maybe something like a coin return flap.Nice Work!
I preordered the mega man deluxe version several months ago. This looks pretty good, I think it’s a no brainer if you have already invested in many of the carts. Tip-Preorder the carts if you want them because after release many will be priced over msrp!
A shame about cathedral, do other native games work? Donut dodo? Full Void? Also does anybody know if there's a vid/review with a shot of the internals?
You need to up your Street Fighter skills, Michael! You're letting go of the stick when you do special moves, this greatly reduces the amount of control you have. Practice doing the moves without releasing the stick!
Kinda wish you talked about if there was going to be firmware updates. One of the games that was not compatible... perhaps with updates, it could be. Otherwise, solid review ty.
Hi Mike b fantastic review you hit buddy it’s a 10 out of 10 my only question for you since you had the iircade gold would say those buttons joysticks are the same of the Evercade Alfa standard thanks Mike have a great weekend
You HAVE TO LOVE what Evercade is doing. Imagine for a second Nintendo, Sony and/or Microsoft decided to own the gaming market by releasing consoles in ALL form factors?! Evercade now has a. Home Console b. 2 versions of a handheld c. BarCades d. "Tiger" styled pocket players. Flaws and all Evercade is doing something special. My one gripe is that all collections should come in cartridge format. Locking some of these collections behind a specific form factors is limiting. I do understand this is a requirement made by the game publishers
Thanks, MichaelB, for the review. Unfortunately, with it costing roughly $250 for this small form factor, I'll pass. If I owned a bunch of cartridges or was just a rich collector or was gifted it, then maybe. Until then, I'll stick with my Legends Ultimate Mini or my old timey M.A.M.E multicade with its Xgaming controller for my standard arcade cravings.
I bought both versions. Don’t ask me why as I’m selling everything I own by them at the moment as they don’t get paid at all I have a few different limited addition sets going on eBay. I may just keep a few cartridges if I decide to keep one of these machineslike I said, I don’t know why I ordered both of them.
Mike is completely shilling this product! No doubt! Pretty ugly console or mini arcade in my opinion. Just too much money for what it is, and I really think they missed the mark. But Mike B is promoting this as A+++ product. I don’t think that’s the case Mike . Sorry to call you out on this Mike. Just seems a little too much shilling for my taste! Lame product !
OMG, NO acrylic to protect the control deck art!!!!! Wtf were they thinking in making a arcade Bartop????? Did anyone in HQ tested this out for more then 1hour of intense gameplay 😂🤣🤔
Hi Everybody, Thanks for watching! Don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of the Evercade Alpha!
I would expect with so many mini arcade's, that by now, we would have a working coin insert system to add credits.

i've never seen anyone pull off a hadouken like you. good vid.

👊🏻🕹️😎
Thanks Ted!
Thanks for the great review. I have always thought this was an awesome product and good first step for Evercade.
This is on my list of wants for sure. Great video buddy
8" only! Come on man step up with the big boys and bring that footlong size!!

Which is weird because the original Evercade had hdmi out
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Maybe the technicality was different, I just remembered something along those lines.
Side by side comparison with a Arcade1up countercade?
Great Review!!!! MY dude
Thank you so much!

Great review!
Is it the recording, or is there a weird motion blur with the games? I don't remember the game having so much motion blur while playing.

Great Review!!!! 😊 Greetings from Germany!
Thank you! Greeting from NL Canada
Easily done is fitting a battery powerbank .
Same as we did with the countercades
It would be nice if these could be played online against other players with the same cabinet.
The embargo is lifted! LETS GO! we’ll metal Jesus got to leak this yesterday cause he’s special lol
He is Metal Jesus after all, no big deal I’m ready to rock n roll!
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie hell yeah!
I do like the evercade, I avoided it because I know I would go broke buying all the carts but its super sweet and this one is prob my fav of them.
Hoping they get releases like Groove on fight rumble fish and Guilty gear classics. You know classic fighters
Imagine an arcade1up mini fridge arcade

I like it overall 😁👍 ..HDMI out would be nice though

I'll hold off and wait to see if they come out with a Namco edition

Thanks for the review, the other model has a better selection of games but Street Fighter is Street Fighter.
Yeah the other cabs game selection is dope but I mean it’s street fighter

It looks good. I see that the speakers are on the sides.
Namco collections work on evercade exp. They only worked all the handhelds and now i guess the alpha
Trying to call this a Perfect Recreation of Big Blue, is Literally like Vince McMahon Trolling a Wrestler with a Midget Doppelganger 😂😂😂
I just hope Donut Dodo works.
Appreciate the video, lots of good info to help consumers make an informed choice. Please don't do any more gameplay demos on that wobbly ass table.
I preordered the sanwa version from funstock for my son ,hes gonna love it but i wish it had hdmi out 😢
You taking your hand off the stick when doing moves 🫣
This review is better than Restalgia's
If they made a 3/4 scale it would sell like hotcakes

Those cartridge contacts are very exposed…
No battery...yet!!!
it's USB C.. it will be mobile soon enough

What’s with tiny ? Looks absolutely ridiculous
