Not sure what people see in Range Rovers, they're only viable as long as the warranty lasts. Get rid as soon as it's not fully covered or you're on the line for a new engine if the chains randomly snap, or if the gearbox falls aparts, or the steering rack dies etc. etc. I've seen cars come back with major work required TWO WEEKS after first registration.
Having worked with them for years the list of horror stories is endless. I wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy.
Agreed!
Loved this video format. Middle ground for the X3 looks the best!
Thanks!
Still loving our Yeti
The Ford Puma 1.5 ST is in a league of its own . Nothing Drives as good for the Money .
As much as I love the others, nothing beats a Duster in terms of value. They're also great fun to drive!
We totally agree, Ben. And the all-wheel drive car can actually go off roading (as our video shows 😜ua-cam.com/video/EdbSqrJsOT4/v-deo.htmlsi=KPfM41yKEJt_IImT)
I'd rather have a proper spare wheel than "hidden underfloor storage"
Which one is worst for hard roads for hobby? You should test it..
We're riding with ya.Great video.
Thank you! Glad to have you on board 🫡
Kia Sportage GT Line S?
Why not include the MG HS?
SEAT Atecca also a great shout
Yes… as I have a top of the range but it’s not as good as the Tiguan!
I liked the way you presented the boot space size with big luggages and toy puppy. All those liters and cubic feet (in north america) do not help at all in imagining what you can put in those boots.
Keep up the good work 💪
Thank you so much for the lovely comments. We also struggle to imagine boot space from stats alone so we figured everyone else might too. Thankfully our resident pup (Rocky) is quite well behaved 😁

Where’s the Suzuki Vitara , a belting SUV with All grip 4x4 wheel drive
Hi Stephen. That's a car that deserves its own film 👀
/Jamil
Any advice on biggest boot space to fit a wheelchair. Can’t really see how big the boots are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nephew has a Hyundai Tuscon , seems to work for his wheelchair
We have now the New DUSTER Hybrid for around £27k which is on top everything....
How can have the x3 with these and not the x1? How does a puma have a chance?
I cannot believe that you left out the Honda CRV. They are so reliable they just go on for ever.
My choice to. This is a big oversight of the UA-camr
I totally agree! I love mine!
We do love them - we even reviewed one recently 😆 ua-cam.com/video/ETChUDEG_KE/v-deo.htmlsi=krPLLR0uUKKRHvpt
No Renault Captur?
The fact that Cinch think that the Range Rover Evoque is a good SUV shows those working for the company don’t really know what they are talking about …. The Evoque is the worst car made by Range Rover, completely unreliable, the boot is smaller than a mini countryman and interior space is more cramped than a Dacia Duster….
Hey Deborah, we agree the Evoque isn't the most practical, but UK sales prove it's highly desirable. And once you get behind the wheel, you realise it feels much more plush than the alternatives you mention. We love the Mini Countryman and Dacia Duster, but for those wanting a more high-end experience, the Evoque feels very nice 👌
It might feel more plush, but it's highly unreliable
And Land Rover Ingenium engines are prone to oil dilution and timing chain failure; I don’t know how anyone can recommend that even if it is very desirable for chavs.
What is more important he should do is talk about all the specifications from this suv’s and especially the reliability, no one cares about the beauty of the car unless is a reliable car
I wouldn’t call most of these small suv, either, Suzuki Vitatra is a small SUV,
Touran? Got a 2012 t3 TDI DSG. Would never sell it. Not one screw gone wrong, just follow service intervals.
Got to be a duster, does everything without trying to hard
I know right. No fuss.

Mega Box, where the spare wheel used to live!
At least that space is being used for something useful
/Jamil
No XC30? No Q3? Why?
Wouldn't have said some on your list are small SUVs, Seat Arona, Citroën C3 aircross are small SUVs, Range Rover and BMW, no.
Yes, and the Citroën C3 Aircross is far higher spec than average. A poor selection here.
She was gonna say she would go for the Kuga.
Kuga isn't a bad shout at all.
No skoda kodiaq
Wondering how tall the presenter is cars look space wise ok for rear passengers however if the presenter is 5’5” perhaps not or if he’s 6’5” yes plenty
Sam’s 5’11” 👍
The Skoda Karoq has not been mentioned. Yet its better than most of these
I think that one deserves a video of its own.
/Jamil
Qashqai is the top seller
Since the it's so popular, we like to think of this video as the list of Qashqai alternatives
/Jamil
When the new Hybrid Duster comes out it will sweep everyone out of the way.
We're hoping to find out! Is there anything specific you'd like to know about it for when we come to review it?
@@cinch I am interested in fuel consumption the most and maybe a boot space test, like how much stuff can you actually fit in there. Also how comfortable are the front seats and if they have any lumbar support :)
Great, we'll make sure we review those things!@@theanswer1993
@@cinch Thank you!
So a spare wheel is a thing of the past then
It is increasingly the case, yep. But most cars now only feature a tyre repair kit that can be used by anyone to safely get you to a garage, or home. You can still option-in spare tyres for many cars, too.
Half of these are crossovers....
BMW X1 fits better in this class/size than the X3 and is quite a bit cheaper to buy.
We will be including an X1 in an upcoming Family Cars video :)
@@cinchare you saying the X1 is a family car and the X3 is a small SUV ?
Nissan?
Small SUV surely not😄
The X3 isn’t a small SUV
For an SUV we'd say it is small-ish
X1 is the BMW’s small SUV.
Stay clear of the most unreliable range Rover and the tin can of bmw stick with the ford and the VW and you won't need to join the AA .as the range Rover is 1 of AAs most called out to cars
i wouldn't even take a range rover if it was offered to me for free... those cars are total garbage...very unreliable and worst on safety...
You missed the best car… Honda CRV is by far the better car than any of those!!
Handily we also reviewed the CR-V in its own video here 😃 ua-cam.com/video/ETChUDEG_KE/v-deo.htmlsi=jTTXh2KXmDXZPqqm
Hey Neil, thanks for your comment. Not only do we disagree, so it seems does the UK public! The Evoque has for many years been one of the most popular cars from any category. And for good reason. We put it on this list because lots of buyers want something stylish, and the Evoque ranks very well in this regard.
That said, Sam does acknowledge that the Evoque isn't as practical as the BMW X3 at 04:10. It's a car for customers looking for something with more "pizzaz" 😎
@@cinchI agree with Neil. Depreciation is absolutely savage on Evoques at the moment, so I don’t think the buying public do agree with you 😂
@@cinchall range rovers are unreliable
@@cp4512 put quite simply…… in terms of the massive sales volumes…. THE GENERAL PUBLIC DO AGREE. !!!
It’s ridiculous that people that don’t own a Land Rover product, just spout this garbage about them being the most unreliable car on earth ….. as a range Rover owner for the past 30 years, I can tell you from experience that is simply not the case !
@@jasonsmith1158 no they don’t or there wouldn’t be massive depreciation compared to other brands. The terrible reliability is shown in every survey from every motoring organisation and is based on owner feedback. And I can tell you from personal experience of owning one, they are terrible and the dealer network just makes you throw good money after bad trying to fix them. If you buy with a dealer warranty then it’s just an inconvenience having to spend so long at the shop, but if you’re out of warrant and have to pay for the repairs yourself then it’s horrifically expensive unless you’re very lucky. Recommend you look at a few car reliability surveys. Everyone knows they’ve been easy to steal for years, but Land Rover is on,y trying to fix it now because so few people want to buy their products and insurance companies are refusing to insure them - this is what forced Land Rover to final,y take action. They never sorted out the oil dilution issue on early Ingenium diesels, just offered free oil changes until 50,000 miles when most original owners have sold on their cars or the PCPs have ended so punt the problems to out of warranty owners.
I cannot believe that you left out the Honda CRV. They are so reliable they just go on for ever.
Hi Faith, we do agree that the car is terrifically reliable - and we gave it plenty of love in this full review here 😁 ua-cam.com/video/ETChUDEG_KE/v-deo.htmlsi=ZtuJahsmJSKgcsr-
crv is mid size not small
Mazda CX5 too
