I don't think they have any "bad" songs, but they do have a few weaker ones. I think Bounce is pretty boring. Jet Pilot is repetitive and doesn't really have any good hooks. Pictures is a little meh. But they're not bad songs, and it's really just in the context of the rest of their amazing discography that a few aren't quite as great in my opinion.
First play: Kel's face is mirrors the horror, the shock.. end of the song: Play again! :D SoaD is a great band with deep meaning songs and heavy geopolitical content against the wars... I love them.
I’m a huge fan, but I gotta say, I’m not sure that’s for the Soad beginner. It took me a long time to appreciate that piece. However, literally every song off every album they did was absolute gold. So sad they parted ways.
This is one of the most extraordinary reaction videos I've ever seen. I've never seen anyone start the song over and listen again from the beginning. Kel looked like she needed a cigarette after round 2, haha.
Ok. I've seen WAY TOO MANY reaction channels, some of them are focused on music in particular. NONE OF THEM feel so genuine like these two guys. I'm definitely subbing. They're so genuine and just being themselves, and their facial expressions sometimes even help me realize what points of a music video i never understood (like the hanged people in black-and-white footage from this music video). WELL DONE!
Thank you so much @7EVEN 8IGHT. It means a lot to us knowing you are connecting with us as we share and experience this music together. We are profoundly moved each day. Regards. Kel-n-Rich
Yaaassss! There's a song that will get your day going. I don't remember what year that came out, but I was grown and a substitute teacher at a high school. One of the kids introduced me to this the day after the album dropped. I immediately went out and bought it. I'm no help in suggesting songs to you. I like them all. Have a great night you two!
Your wife's eyes , she so adorable. Poor girl has no more brains left. She's got the look of lights on but nobody's home, the train has left the station.. I love you guys God bless you keep up the amazing work
Lol!!!! That was great! I laughed so hard when Rich said I like chop suey but I love sugar and Kel your face and response! I love that you watched it twice. Great reaction as always. My go to bands when I need to vent and get out any aggression are Pantera, Korn and good ol System of a down! Of corse they all have different elements based upon what they are feeling at any given time but when they get pissed and let it all out I love it. Better out than in I say. Anyway, loved this reaction good to see you guys again!
finally you react to this song. I love Sugar because it's the first song that my friend introduced me to SoaD back when I'm in early teenage before they come up with their new album Toxicity and make me like SOAD more. Yeah it's bring back some nice old memmories with music, and i hope 'Spiders' are in your next SoaD V-reaction
Hahahah! This is still my favorite SOAD song. They have some good ones, but this song has such crazy energy , and a Dead Kennedy's sensibility ( love DKs)...
I sat in front of my boombox for days and hours trying to record this song on tape off the radio. My mom wouldn't let me get this album so I improvised. I had never heard anything like SOAD up to that point and this song was and still is a magical fucking song. Legit changed my life.
Like the new layout, and good to see you guys back! You guys are looking GREAT, and still having a blast! I don't think I've ever seen you immediately dive into a song for a second time. That's amazing. Sugar was SOAD's first hit, but they obviously became far more complex and deep over time. Still, I remember when this came out, and it was mind-blowing. If you've already listened to Chop Suey and Aerials, I can't really recommend much that could top that, honestly. But your reactions nail it: it's not just about unexpected musical shifts. SOAD puts reality in your face, in a brutal, almost farcical manner.
HAHAHAHAHA That mushroom cloud proves this is a SKADOOSH moment for you 2. SOAD is amazing. "Little Late To The Party" Hey, better late than NEVER, am I right? I just want to say that you 2 are awesome and I'm glad that you are back. By far 2 of my favorite reactionaries on YT and yet underrated as well. Awesome that you are now at 30K(even though it should be more). You 2 are awesome people and I wish I could know you 2 personally because I love the music you guys react to and I could make a whole encyclopedia of music you need to listen to. I know this is off topic from SOAD which is an amazing band in their own right but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to DEVIN TOWNSEND "GENESIS" and "EVERMORE" I'll be a #PainInTheAsk all day until I'm blue in the face to recommend this but believe me when I tell you that you are missing out if you never hear these songs. Keep up the awesome videos you 2. Much love and respect to you both.
YES!....back to GOOD music ;) ....amazing Vocals,Lyrics and one of the BEST Live Bands i have ever seen!...Kel,forget all Moshpits you have ever Joined ;).This is pure mayham!.....Next Song "CHOP SUEY!" or "BOOM!".....a Pain in the Ass to all american Presidents !....go for it !
hahahahaha delightful to know that the only video you put to play twice the song that I watched from you (except Tribal, from Nightwish) was in a System of a Down's song. Thank you for this gift. Could you please react one of the two new songs, Genocidal Humanoidz / Protect the Land? Thank you.
Please keep in mind that the message behind Sugar (and I suspect in SOAD in general) is the actual truth: the system keeps us in bind. This is not just intertainement or "crazy music". This is a social commentary as with so many music bands in the past 50 years and more. If we respect the artists behind the songs, least we can do is actually think about what they want to say.
@Artefieor, I agree, when I was younger I started out listening to bands that were not politically correct, or had a message in the music. The The was one of my faves, they had a bunch of great music but had kind of a cult following. Most people never even had never even listened to The The, I always thought they were way ahead of the times also. Probably explains why I was the first to listen to Rage Against the Machine also.
So nice, had to watch it twice! Love these guys, so outside of anything you expect. Punk, Funk, Metal. Only other blender I can think of is Infectious Grooves (Suicidal Tendencies side project). And even they don't touch this in the grind. Love the originality.
Their first album that this song is on, is in my opinion their absolute BEST album. The others are great too, but this one is just so raw and aggressive.
Haha great reaction. As much as I love Toxicity the album (which has Chop Suey and Aerials), this debut album is the essence of System to me. There is a rawness in it that none of the other albums quite capture. Tankien's vocals are so untamed, which is a pleasure to listen to. I'm sure you have so much music to listen to that it's hard to keep up, but this album (self titled) is so worth visiting as a whole if you one day get the opportunity. Peace
I had the same reaction as you when I first heard this song. From that moment I could not stop listening to them hahaha I recommend the following songs: Forest, Deer Dance, Darts, Ddevil, Suggestion, Needles, wel...all their song LOL Greetings from Argentina 🧡
I've given up on hoping to see any of my requests ever. Not hating on you guys, it's just that I know that there's alot of people you have to get to. Not to mention the ones that give money. Still love you guys! I'll continue watching and liking
I was 17 the first time I heard this song on the radio. I was totally caught off guard. I turned up the volume in my car as loud as it could go and just tried to comprehend what I was hearing. It completely changed my taste in music.

Really surprised by the Pendragon shirt Kel! You guys should listen to "Arena - The Hanging tree" its like a prog supergroup with Pendragon keyboardist and composer Clive Nolan
Soad is one of those bands that has NO bad songs.
