Apex Detail I like it easy to use and better looking than c2v3 and Hydrosilex but loses in durability to c2v3. Hey got a free sample of a product called renew protect names gloz for tires from amazon it’s like black pearl but more durable I put some on a spoon to dry and it turned in to flexible plastic and rubber material very high solids in it
tried it but didnt like it way too oily for me..i use it Ech2o mixture as quick detailer though from time to time..this winter testing Sonax netshield and spray and seal as maintenance..
I love Reload and all Carpro products. I applied CQuartz on my wife's dark blue VW Atlas and top it with Reload. It looks like a mirror and is very hydrophobic.
Reload is my favorite silica spray sealant. You hit all the key points: goes on fast and easy, no streaking, reasonably priced and a little product goes a long, long way. The finish looks great and its just awesome on dark colors. I find the durability is longer when applied to dry clear coat.
I have been using CQuart UK for the past year and a half topped with reload and has worked great! BUT, it took a little bit of learning the best way to apply (Did my own 2 cars before customers) and get the results that were very positive!
I thought this product attracts too much dust. You can reduce that by diluting with water, but then it may not last as long either. I find that if I have to apply and rub something in and buff off?? Why not just use DG 105 and put the money you saved in your pocket?
I haven’t found Reload to attract dust. And it’s quite dusty in Southern California. If it attracted more dust than using nothing, I’d use nothing. We all get different results because my technique of application is probably different than how you apply it. ✌🏻
@@craig.encinitas Well I will agree to disagree with you. It just cracks me up when someone has a bad experience with a certain product the only answer is, "you applied it wrong" or "My technique must be better than yours". Cracks me up. Maybe someone that has ZERO experience with detail products may fall for that. I don't. Many factors are involved in what may cause dust attraction. I too live in SoCal and I am quite sure where I live is 10x's worse dust wise than where you live. I live near Glamis where we get some of the worst dust in the USA. So where I live is the perfect place to test for products that may or may not attract "dust". Additionally, other factors like humidity levels make a big difference. I have found that MOST Si02 based products attract dust under my conditions where as many non Si02 products don't. For example. If I apply P&S Bead Maker, no obvious dust attraction after application...where as Car Pro Reload? Whole car will have a fine layer attached within hours of application. Its a no brainer applying these products. Its not rocket science. When I emailed Car Pro about the problem they even acknowledged the issue some people have with dust attraction. I use to use reload, but my car is ceramic coated ( 9H) , the look was great, but it became a dust magnet, I had to run water over the whole top to demagnetized the surface, I now use Griots ceramic spray .
microfiber pad seems best way to applicate the product. I even use this method on meguires new ceramic sealant as it's quite thick so it spreads better and works better.
When applying Reload as a stand alone would there be any benefit to making a second application immediately after making the first application or should you wait between applications.
Any thoughs on performance of Reload on fiberglass? like an RV, not looking for maximum performance but I love the ease of use of the Reload compound. Just want basic protection.
Good morning. Congratulations on the channel and content. I have a question: my vehicle was coated with Serum Light from Gtechniq 3 months ago. In theory, this would allow up to 5 years of duration, provided that periodic maintenance is carried out. Can the Carpro Reload product be applied for the purpose of maintaining the quality of the coating for a longer time? If so, what is the time interval between Reload applications? Grateful for the attention. See you later. Waston Ribeiro from Brazil.
Can i use this product when i wash my ceramic coated car as maintaining? Or better dry the car properly and use another product as a top coat on the ceramic? I actually look for extra shine gloss look than hydrofobics. Please advise.
Another quick and pertinent video. Especially for me, as a newbie getting ready to do my first ceramic coating with CQuartz 3.0 I’ll be using reload in the future as well. Aloha from Maui
Hard to tell but it seems like Bead Maker and Reload fall into the same “vein” of product. Between the two, do you have a preference as a sacrificial layer on coatings?
Hi. I recently ceramic coated my car however the other day I noticed there's were some light scratches from possibly a cat jumping on my car. Is there anyway I can fix this or do I need to start over again ?
Hello guys, i see many people with problems with RELOAD aplication. So my way to do it is: ➡️ Always use two towels or more. ➡️ spray one towel with reload, pass in the panel, let sit for a few seconds, and with other MF towel buff off the product. What i normally do is, have 2 bottles filled until the middle with product and add the rest with destilied water. And that's the final result, never do it at direct sun.😉
i wanted to layer turtle wax seal n shine on top of carpro reload for both protection and shine. what are your thoughts? asking both Apex Detail and people in the comments
Craig Encinitas I stuck with just seal n shine and it’s fine. Didn’t bother with carpro reload because of the price. Turtle wax seal n shine is more durable with a decent amount of shine on okayish paint for like 1/3 of the price! More value for me
Brian, I have heard from two individuals who were using Reload on wheels but stopped after a while because they felt that it was causing excessive contamination that was difficult to remove. Have you experienced this phenomenon? Thx Sorry, the product was Hydro2. Same question though.
I think this happens when you use it too often. This wont happen if you apply car reload silica every 4months as the bottle says that it will last you 4 months. If you do apply often, you start covering contaminents inside the coating.
i'm back 1 year later... lol. i used turtle wax seal n shine and its been wonderful for me... the shine and the durability! i'm getting my car ceramic coated in about a month... i'd like to maintain it or extend the life/durability of the coating by using a topper. i'm trying to decide between the turtle wax seal n shine (since it's been wonderful to me) vs. the carpro reload. reload does not seam as durable in comparison but i'm wondering if the SNS will play well with the ceramic coating?? what are your thoughts about maintaining a ceramic coating with turtle wax SNS especially since they claim that the "new formula" has some level of sio2 in it.
So I had a shop do ceram pro on my truck. Yesterday I used car pro silica spray. I probably wasted double than what I should....wish I seen this video before.... Question.....how,often should I use this car pro silica spray? Every six months?
reload is awesome !!1 you can use it on top of wax too !! much cheaper safer and will least on top of a car for wayyyy longer keeping it shiny with great reflection
Brian, what is the make and model of the blower you are using to blow water off the panel. Given a daily driver in Michigan winter, parked outside, what would you estimate the longevity of these SiO2 sealants when used as a stand alone. I still hand wash, 2 bucket method in the winter, once/week weather permitting.
Don't actually know once thinking on the water beading effect of this product what is it good for???. The water drops will dry on the paint after the rain helping to produce round marks that will need to be buffed no matter on ceramic coated cars or regular factory paintwork. I prefer the products that sheet water off, this is a helpful science and new technology. Water beading it's just a trend based on the visual appeal the little drops have.
@@amazed6161 You will have to use Meguiars Ultimate Fast Finish. Water beading sucks some times where the little drops dry along to dirt, but if you regularly maintain your paint washing and using coating protection products, they won't leave any mark at all, in a weekly or bi-weekly wash frequency.
What do u mean by stand alone? Sorry new to this. I want do this to my cat but i don't know how to buff a car and i am afraid to ruin my car. After i wash it, what do i do?
Reload is a great product as with most of the CarPro line. I highly recommend trying out Leno’s Garage Radiant spray sealant. It’s also an SiO2 spray sealant with a compatible price. Very, very good product.
For right around $100.00 you can use car pro essence plus, car pro gliss and reload and have a professional coating look that will last almost as long as all your professional coatings.I use these products on Brand new cars and get stunning results .
I find Reload a really amazing product, used with the 2 microfiber technique goes on easy, spread and buff clear with 2nd towel. I do however find that Reload is all but gone after the next wash be it 2/4 weeks later... but I have always used CarPro Reset, which I firmly believe removes Reload. I am now trying other shampoo's like CarChem luxury 1900:1 to see if the product does last another wash... be interested to hear your views @Apex Detail if you know if Reset does remove Reload at what ever dilution ratios?
I’m a weekend enthusiast that likes to keep my modest Honda Accord clean. After years of washing my car with off the shelf meguiars products, I came across CarPro products. My first time using reload last weekend, in my garage with the garage door open. About 5 minutes into my process I couldn’t help but ponder the question if I should be using a respirator or applying outside? The chemical smell was very strong. Based on your experience as a professional detailer, what are your thoughts? When stepping up to these “professional grade” products, is this something I need to be more mindful about? Thank you for any insight!
Thank you for that very informative & thorough presentation. I have several bottles of Ultima Paint Guard Plus. On a non coated properly prepped car should I expect similar results? Or is it a completely different product? Also my black 96 SVT Cobra spends a lot of time in the Garage avoids rain, snow, & salt. Does time alone deteriorate a product, or is more the exposure to the element? Thank you very Much.
Do you still use Carpro Reload? I am using this ATM but I am looking at Sonax BSD and Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramix Wax. Are any of these better than my current Carpro Reload?
Brian I’m a fan of the Reload for sure but since I coated my car with CSL & EXO, I refresh mine with the GTECHNIQ C2V3. It works fantastic with the GT. Not sure it’s as universal as the CP Reload though. Good video B. Take care buddy.
Really would like to see a heads up between Reload and Premier. Premier is quite a bit more per 500ml. My experience with reload is great shine. Good protection. Little streaky on glass. But man the gloss is awesome. Super easy too use.
Brian, you’re one of favorite car You Tubers. I show 2 Vettes and want to know if I can top Jescar Carnauba wax with Reload? I certainly don’t want to strip off the wax to apply Reload but would like to add a sacrificial barrier over the wax. Would this work?
I'm beginning to bring Sio2's into my mobile business. So far I have implemented DPC Armor, and have a first application of TAC Moonlight coming up (when the weather allows) Would you consider Reload as a product that falls somewhere in between?
Lots of variables.. Something like CarPro Essence Plus, *not* regular Essence, Essence *Plus* is really an ideal product to refresh an older tired coating. Reload and other silica spray sealants are toppers more than purpose designed coating repair solutions, but will still provide a useful boost of protection and stretch out the life of a coating.. 👍👌✌
jeromeboily Hydrosilex is a Siloxane based sealant if I recall correctly. I think their marketing might be a bit on the bs side. Reload is SiO2 based, which should last longer.
I'm curious if you've personally witnessed this product last for 6 months. I would like to try this stuff, but I hear conflicting things about its longevity, although it's possible that people don't prep enough.
@@apexdetail85 so what what could i do wrong i used this one after , clay , polish , gyeon prep and then two towels one for aply and other to buff and the bead efect was gone in 3months... :/ i was disapointed maybe because is not a garage car? I like it easy to use and can be put on different ways Personally I'm waiting for a ceramic coating style spray that can be used with a buffer I know I'm nuts but hey I can dream right
Yes. He says you can use it as a standalone product at the start, and end of the video. Just prep the paint properly, and you can get up to 6 months out of it.
Reload just isn't keeping up with the other ceramic sprays anymore. I never had good longevity with it.. couple months at best. You should really try The Last Coat 2.. the new formula is impressive.
John P Brian can you us ceramic coatings on factory vinyl stripes. I haven’t seen any videos on it. Thanks for your help. As always another great video.
Thanks Brian. Another great demonstration. I still have a bottle of Hydrosilex left (that stuff lasts a long time). Once I run out, I will try Reload and post results. Cheers!
Great intro to the product! I really like Carpro Reload vs Gyeon Cure... it is much easier to use. I find it is hard to to get holograms with the Reload and too easy with Cure. Maybe that means Cure is more concentrated but I still prefer the Reload; at least for usability. Thanks Brian!
If you want a product that's the next level from Reload or C2V3 that would be Polish Angel's Cosmic Spritz. It applies just as easy as Reload or C2V3 but the gloss and hydrophobic qualities are by far superior and does hold up better. Like all the Polish Angel products you do pay a premium price to get that quality. I recommend if the best is what you are looking for wait for a 25% off sale at Autogeek.com. to buy this highly priced but superior quality product. I generally wait for 25% off sales to stock up on any supplies I need anyway. Because Reload or C2V3 are cheaper to use I use them more for around the house like on awnings, shower walls, lawn furniture and such to keep stuff looking newer, cleaner longer and protection from oxidizing from the suns rays and it takes very little effort with no white residue left behind like prehistoric waxes left behind. I generally use C2V3 because I like GTechniqs Crystal Serum Light coating and buy it in the 1 liter bottle to save more of my dough.
I personally like waxing. It's therapeutic. You end up spending hundreds on coatings and silica sprays when I can do nearly the same thing with a $15 can of wax.
I can only assume your new to the detailing game because there's NO COMPARISON between a ceramic or Sio2 coating to a can of wax, LOL. Like everyone else I started with carnauba because it was the only game in town. Then I graduated to sealants and/or hybrids, big improvement in durability, looks and application/removal. I then dabbled in Zaino because everyone is curious, very easy and the looks were very shiny, almost made my paint look like plastic wrap! This was a great product for those who like to apply products because they encourage you to layer...layer your finish alot and in turn layer their wallets, that's ok, part of the business. At this point WOWA products came out, Zaino even came out with one called Clear Shield. At this point it was so easy to add protection and gloss, carnauba was a thing of the past now. That leads us to today, ceramic and Sio2 paint coatings. Once your finish is corrected you then apply the coating and that's it for generally 1-3 years depending on the mfg. You really only need to wash and maybe give it a boost from time to time but that's it. Your car stays cleaner longer and washing is much easier due to how much less sticks to the car, then there's the looks...another world!! Still wanna use the burgundy tin of Mequiars and Armor All on a Sat or Sunday afternoon, go for it and have fun with that.
@@Rmf8 I have used Soft99 BLACKBLACK tire dressing and it's incredible! With coatings, it's not just the looks but maintainence washes are easier and durability is amazing, plus there's times when I drive in the rain and once parked it barely looks dirty, the topsides especially look untouched. Soft99 is a great brand, wanna get there carwash creme too!
Although the product has been out there for some time...I would like YOUR opinion on Reload. 🙂

I am now trying other shampoo's like CarChem luxury 1900:1 to see if the product does last another wash... be interested to hear your views @Apex Detail if you know if Reset does remove Reload at what ever dilution ratios?
Good timing, I have a fresh bottle to try so the techniques are welcomed.
Let me know how it performs for you.
I was actually just wondering the same thing since these sealants use silicon dioxide which is harmful if breathed in
Awesome review if you get any high spot will it be removed in wash or need to polish ? Or some apc strog dilution and IPA? Best regards
Brian how does Pearl Nano or Nexgen stand up against Reload? lots of different coatings coming out and it's a bit confusing to the weekend warrior.
Brian I’m a fan of the Reload for sure but since I coated my car with CSL & EXO, I refresh mine with the GTECHNIQ C2V3. It works fantastic with the GT. Not sure it’s as universal as the CP Reload though. Good video B. Take care buddy.
Would you say carpro reload is better than the last coat 2?
Reloads the gateway drug to coatings
Alex Billian hahaha. Actually true with Tacsystem moonlight. its a sealant with 25% silica content vs 5% with Reload. Better than most topcoats 👍🏻
Nick M oh lord def looking into that now, thanks mate
Tacsystem is soon to be showcased...just wish there was another 4 hours in a days time.😜
Apex Detail awesome!!!
Another smashing video my dear friend. I tend to use Overcoat, Ammo Hydrate, or sometimes Cosmic Spritz- but that can streak at times
Over coat can streak indeed.
Reload or elixir? Can i use reload on satin plastic and on plastic windshield?
Really would like to see a heads up between Reload and Premier. Premier is quite a bit more per 500ml. My experience with reload is great shine. Good protection. Little streaky on glass. But man the gloss is awesome. Super easy too use.
Completely agree...they are VERY similar with...yes...Premier being a bit pricey.
Hi mate, could you top your coating with turtle wax seal n shine?
Ok so what is the difference with Turtle Ceramic Coating spray??I can still apply it on my ceramic coating right
If it's sio2 based then yes. If not, then it's no good
@@WildDanHibiki so is Turtle Ceramic Coating based on Sio2?
Brian, you’re one of favorite car You Tubers. I show 2 Vettes and want to know if I can top Jescar Carnauba wax with Reload? I certainly don’t want to strip off the wax to apply Reload but would like to add a sacrificial barrier over the wax. Would this work?
I apply it dry... no streaks.
Yes sir!!👍
I'm beginning to bring Sio2's into my mobile business. So far I have implemented DPC Armor, and have a first application of TAC Moonlight coming up (when the weather allows) Would you consider Reload as a product that falls somewhere in between?
Would Reload be the best thing to reactivate an exciting Ceramic coating? I just bought The Last Coat 2
Thanks, great video but I do have a question. If I apply Hydro2 1st will I need a topper like reload?
Not really...hydro is somewhat a topper itself.
Thanks, appreciate the reply
Can I use reload on top of a sealent such as Wolfgang?
How about this vs p and s bead maker?
P and S is good. Reload will last a month or two longer in my environment.
I prefer Reload over hydro2. I find it lasts much longer that hydro2 gives more protection
what about QP 2.0 is this better than that?
No...that is in a different league...much more durable.
how about non-abrasive chemicals and none silicone-based Ceramics sprays...
Can I use carpro on PPF?
how would RELOAD compare to HYDROSILEX ? which is more durable and easy to apply ?
jeromeboily Hydrosilex is a Siloxane based sealant if I recall correctly. I think their marketing might be a bit on the bs side. Reload is SiO2 based, which should last longer.
I am not a fan of Hydrosilex.... Reload for this guy.🙂
@@apexdetail85 thanks
@@groundcontrol6876 thank you
I'm curious if you've personally witnessed this product last for 6 months. I would like to try this stuff, but I hear conflicting things about its longevity, although it's possible that people don't prep enough.
Preparation is key...cars have come back longer than six months with protection intact.
@@apexdetail85 so what what could i do wrong i used this one after , clay , polish , gyeon prep and then two towels one for aply and other to buff and the bead efect was gone in 3months... :/ i was disapointed maybe because is not a garage car? Just asking . I really dont know if i do something wrong , i noticed that it still sheat water but not bead . Best regards
I like it easy to use and can be put on different ways
Personally I'm waiting for a ceramic coating style spray that can be used with a buffer I know I'm nuts but hey I can dream right
There ya go Sean....make one for us!!
@@apexdetail85 lol i will try lol
Can I use carpro reload by itself without a ceramic coating?
Yes. He says you can use it as a standalone product at the start, and end of the video. Just prep the paint properly, and you can get up to 6 months out of it.
What blower is that?
Can you this item on top of a wax or sealant?
Can this go over a wax ??
I use hydro2 .....how do these products differ.
Being that Reload can be applied "dry"...It can be a bit more durable than Hydro. That is what I find anyway.
What is your favorite coating? What is your favorite ceramic wax? Kamikaze coatings seem to be great, but very costly. Love your videos.
IGL coatings are my go to.
Reload just isn't keeping up with the other ceramic sprays anymore. I never had good longevity with it.. couple months at best. You should really try The Last Coat 2.. the new formula is impressive.
He did. Here’s the video:
ua-cam.com/video/LdQ76C8YqJk/v-deo.html
Great video and a great product.
I played around with different methods of application and found applying to an applicator the best way.
Completely agree.
John P
Brian can you us ceramic coatings on factory vinyl stripes. I haven’t seen any videos on it.
Thanks for your help. As always another great video.
Absolutely!
Found an old vid Ive not seen Brian
Ordered!!👍🏻👍🏻
Me too!!
Thanks Brian. Another great demonstration. I still have a bottle of Hydrosilex left (that stuff lasts a long time). Once I run out, I will try Reload and post results. Cheers!
You will enjoy it much more than Hydro
I love my Briggs and Stratton electric pressure washer. I heard you have one in the background 😂
Hi Apex,
How often should I use carpro reload?
bath in it, so long as you buy from him!
Every 3 to 6 months or as often as you wish to.
Can i put on top of reload i layer of wax or glase ?
Great intro to the product! I really like Carpro Reload vs Gyeon Cure... it is much easier to use. I find it is hard to to get holograms with the Reload and too easy with Cure. Maybe that means Cure is more concentrated but I still prefer the Reload; at least for usability. Thanks Brian!
I prefer it as well.👍
If you want a product that's the next level from Reload or C2V3 that would be Polish Angel's Cosmic Spritz.
PA products are a personal fav. But can only recommend them to enthusiasts.
@@apexdetail85 Yeah totally get the fact not many customers would be willing to pay the premium price to have you apply their products.
I find reload much weaker and less longevity than so many other 5% sio2 spray toppers
I personally like waxing. It's therapeutic. You end up spending hundreds on coatings and silica sprays when I can do nearly the same thing with a $15 can of wax.
Derek Munro me to
That’s what I said until I tried a coating
Soft 99 fusso. 2 layers and you would think it is a coating!
Crazy good and dirt cheap!
Soft99 is a great brand, wanna get there carwash creme too!
i see no difference. only that tape left residue and that's it.
i use dish soap and tell everyone its a ceramic wax, ive made thousands!
Dude, get a better MIC!
...so i can sell it to you and make money, i cant do that with turtle wax
