Kunimi is a "work smarter not harder" type, he keeps some energy in reserve just in case and looks for the most efficient way to score over just trying to brute force everything.
Hoshiumi is basically what Ushiwaka thought he was getting when Hinata told him he'd beat him. Instead he got severely scaled down Hoshiumi who can only jump high and run fast fast.
Hoshiumi is definitely the better player but as a spiker Hinata does have a certain ability not a lot of spikers possess.. to see the blockers clearly nd past them despite the speed of the game!! Even Hoshiumi acknowledges this about Hinata.. but we have not yet been disclosed on how much Hoshiumi can see the blockers. The only other spikers who have been shown to see spikers clearly(not as much & often as Hinata) are Tanaka nly at certain spikes & Ushiwaka at some spikes like his last cross shot where he adjusted last minute after seeing Tsukki coming in with 3 man block to stuff the straight in the Final.
also hoshiumi is a second year playing volleyball for much longer while hinata only started really playing in his first year so it's no suprise that his basics aren't really good.
The way I smiled when Rana wrote down Atsumu's name. Slowly, but surely... we're getting there. :} On another note, this episode gave us a practical example of why Hinata's "ball boy time" shouldn't be considered a waste. His "take it easy" tip was based on what he observed from Kunimi, while looking from outside the court. Had he been a player like usual, he wouldn't have noticed that detail. Just like many others. As coach Ukai wisely said, "Don't underestimate what it takes to be a ball boy".
My favorite message of Haikyuu; “let’s take it easy”. It doesn’t only apply to volleyball, but also on life. At this arc Hinata was out of sorts and panicking because it seems like everyone is moving ahead of him but being a ball boy forces him to slow down and take it easy which in in turn gives him a new perspective. So for anyone who is racing through life and is feeling out of sorts remember to take it easy!

Washijo does coach but You guys tend to miss it. Aoba Josai coach does have a more observer approach because Oikawa usually doesn’t need him to step in. When they do step is when the team is out of focus.
I'm getting kinda sick of how they keep going back to "these coaches aren't doing anything". Completely missing the point of coaching, or even teaching for that matter. Their students shouldn't be dependent on their mentors. The mentors guide their mentees to think for themselves. I know they acknowledged this before, and that they're joking. But it's kinda annoying me too haha

He looked frustrated but was also smiling, though probably begrudgingly.

The germophobe guy I believe is the top spiker in japan if not in the top three, you see Kuroo talk about him in season 2 at the bbq, along with ushiwaka. I am surprised you guys didn't pick up on the voice actor being Tanjiro/Falco for Hoshima (Hinata 2.0). I love how it's showing how much Hinata is quickly picking up from the position of ball boy through observation, which he hasn't had a chance to do since he's always playing. Kind of reminds me of when Kageyama was explaining why he likes playing settings in ep 2, he asks Hinata if he has ever watched a live game, to which Hinata replied no.
Kiyoomi Sakusa is the best spiker of haikyuu (Wakatoshi included) and his team won against Bokuto in the land vs air OVA. His self care will be one of the greatest improvements from a certain character in the next season.

That 'Goody two shoes' comment has a big implications this season. It means that kageyama adjust to his teammate's bad habits and comforts as he is a genius setter and also due to his middle school trauma. But that's not how a good setter should act. That's what Atsumu said that when he heard about kageyama, he thought he would be a good setter but he only has good skills and no vision.
This should not mean that he should revert back to his old self. That was bad too. A great setter is someone who finds a balance between pushing and pampering his spikers. Also Atsumu is the best high school setter currently.
I didn't liked that much the first half of season 4 the first time I watched it, but rewatching it along with you guys is making me realize how freaking good this arc is. Can't wait.

Sakusa is top 3 I think. Ushiwaka was number 1 in Japan and Bokuto was in the top 5 afair
