Very cool stuff Tom. I'm stoked to learn about the different tools and processes you use to make parts as a machinist

Oddly enough I was wondering if you would mark the side with the chamfer tool heh... Now I want one of these fly cutters for my lil CNC machine....

Nice job Tom. Questions on the hardening. What kind of oil do you quench the piece of steel you are hardening and what temperature do you heat it up to before you quench it? Thing cuts that aluminum like butter.

Very nice setup, seemed like you were able to machine the 01 pretty easily was that HSS stock you were cutting with?

+🔥Ramsey Customs - turbocobra Thanks Gary. I use HSS cutters most of the time. I am very "old school" in practice. Its rare and only usually on a special situation that ill use a carbide end mill or drill. I have made probably 35 of these cutters and the little 3/16 4 flute HSS end mill is still sharp and leaving a nice square edge in the slot and O1 is pretty tough stuff. The secret is to NOT get it hot!
