At 6:25, you cross the street saying "let's cross here". Just then, a person on the back of a scooter waves. To that person 👋 from ATL - USE. 🤙
I'm always watching I hope to see you here in Albania I'm from Philippines
I walked around those areas as well. There are definitely way more sketchy areas in SJ with almost nobody walking the streets. Your phone or bag might get stolen on paseo colon but in other areas you might get robbed at gunpoint
Pura paja.
@23:30 You're in the cut, here.
We have property in Ojochal which I imagine, has much immigrant activity. Can you advise on this, positive or negative? Thanks, great video.🙏

This was a really good video. Reminds me of the kind of videos that got me started watching Kurt Caz, Sabbatical, Timmy K, etc. I'm always looking for new channels like this.

Honesty. True Latin America! Bad places can get you injured or killed, good areas and you will likely be okay.
2:00 Lady in black with the highlights in her hair, absolutely beautiful 😍🔥🔥💍. Love from Los Angeles, CA. 🇺🇸
Costa Rica seems to be the Germany of Latin America. Even some parts of San Jose look as dodgy as some parts of Frankfurt. No joking.
It's dodgy but not too bad honestly, there aren't many slums, the government has pushed to tear them down in favor of moving the families to better housing elsewhere.
I don't like many things here but housing for the poor and education are things we invest in a lot. Thank goodness for not having an army.
What's going on in Frankfurt? Invaders from the south?
@@prescottlange These are everywhere in Germany. Frankfurt is infamous for a large open drug scene near the central train station, inside and near the red light district.
Don't try to lie to foreigners, I am also from Costa Rica and this situation is getting worse every day. Hitmen and narcos are increasing more and more, and criminal gangs are growing every day... All of this happens in the "barrios" of Costa Rica, what the friend recorded in this video is nothing compared to what happens in the barrios controlled by drug gangs nationals.

I totally disagree with this video and what you’re saying I’ve been going to Costa Rica for 20 years and never had a problem. They are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Please get your facts straight before you post a negative video about a country. Truthfully, you do not understand. One of the reason
Did you watch the video? I showed the current state of a part of the capital. Did you know Costa Rica has a problem with immigrants? Did you see the generosity? Did you hear the immigrants stories? Did you hear the police warn me? Lastly, before you post a negative comment check out my other videos in Costa Rica where I show only positivity and the ticos for who they are.
Elliot, do you have a favorite country/city in Central or Latin America?
Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia. I’m sure if I visited Argentina I’d also fall in love with that country and Venezuela.. but I can’t visit Venezuela. Colombia however feels so sketchy and dangerous and the people are try to scam you.
I walked through Coca Cola to the bus station carrying a PC computer for an old job once, nothing happened. Perhaps I was lucky, at night it might’ve been different.
You are welcome Bro. San José downtown is a mess. Any other province capital looks way better than chepe.
I know todo Costa Rica. Next video will be in Heredia y Limon.. pura vida

San José is the capital. Don't like how it makes the country look? Fix it.

Come to Panama City next 👌
El chorrillo, curundu and little Michael, officially known as San Miguelito are places you’d want to meander for this type of content.
My graduation ceremony was right there at the yellow building, good memories 👌
Panama has Jamaican descendants too, in Bocas del Toro and colon province
I tried making a video in el Chorillo and it was hard lol but yeah I recorded all around there plus I met the mayor of Panama City.. stay tuned. I love Panama.. it’s the safest country in Central America
👍 yes more videos from Latin American cities 😅
Tons of Nicaraguan people in San Jose...
Most of the people you see there are Nicaraguans! Go to towns in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, if you're going to record videos in San José, many of the people are Nicaraguans. We have more than 500,000 Nicaraguans in the country
I know I said that.. good thing I made videos elsewhere in the country :)
puro nica ahí, que verguenza da San José al chile, nicas gritando a turistas que le estamos robando el gallo pinto en tierras costarricenses..... Eso se está saliendo de control

Hi. Elliot welcome to Costa Rica. You are nice person.
Let's be honest walking around a high-crime area with an outstretched arm and an expensive phone/camera is pretty f***ing stupid. Period. All of your videos are basically you tempting fate. So far you have been pretty lucky. I am waiting to see where it catches up to you.. MEDELLIN????
unconspicuos is a word this man doesn't know apparently
Dude I walked that area several times and never had an issues. I feel people exagerate
Walking is one thing.. talking to the locals and migrants explaining the reality is another
Que lastima! San Jose used to be peaceful and happy. The cartels ruin everything.
It is peaceful, use common sense and don't willingly go into the sketchy areas just to temp the devil as we call it here.
Willingly doing it to draw a bad picture of a city is just hateful.
Listen to when they tell him to not go near "la coca cola" bro that is a bus stop! I take the bus late at night there all the time. There's a lot of cops always because their office is literally next to it.
Everyone here will be overly cautions with foreigners, we will keep them out of places where they have no business in.

@@AdventureElliot Medellín is amazing I did like that a lot along with Bogota so much to do.I do like to note that some of the Ticos and Ticas would agree with you on the crime and everything else going on in San Jose to a lot of what you were saying. I will Try Panama out soon too.
@ San José is more chill than Medellin let’s be honest. If you mind your business nobody will f with yo.. now in Medellin they could rob you at any moment sabes .. maybe you gotta put Buenos Aires on your list but even better maybe you gotta come to Spain brotha.. Spain has it all and 0 danger

San Jose downtown is no longer costarrican :(
You need a lot to learn from el zaza italiano..that is respect any country no exception have their own issues and Spain in not an exception.....been there😮
San Jose sucks, ngl. I am from here just in case.
