@@DivyaBudhrajaMathur aww thank you! I’m so happy you’ve found your way to booktube! 💜 I’m also glad to hear that you enjoyed Lady Tan. It truly is a fantastic read!
I just finished reading this book and really wanted to talk about it with someone but I don’t know anyone else who has read it. I was so happy to find your video. I think you really hit the nail on the head with your review!
I’m so happy to hear that my video helped you work through your thoughts on this book. I really enjoy Lisa See’s writing and this particular book was such a unique and interesting topic.
I read and loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. It's one of the few books that has stayed with me for these many years since I read it. I can still remember details from that book. I started The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (I think that's the title), it was a slow start, and it was a library book so I DNF it so I could return it, but it's one I definitely want to try again at some point. I will be reading Lady Tan for sure, thank you for this review, and for the "warning" on the squeamish parts, I may have to skip over some of them, but we'll see. Thank you for another awesome video.
I definitely think this book is worth the read. Also, if you haven’t read The Island of Sea Women, that’s spectacular as well (although there are some brutal parts of it toward the end).
I almost selected that one for June’s BOTM; it’s going in my August box as an add-on 😊 I love the way you talk about books BTW; you’re good at explaining what aspects you liked or disliked, which makes it easy for me to see if it would be a good fit me. ❤
I just added a Lisa See book, I think it was this one, to the possibility list for one of my book clubs! I've read one of hers before, but it was quite some time ago and I think I'm due for another one.
Prior to publication, it’s normal for publishing companies to reach out to book blogs, reviewers, and influencers to send out copies for review. I happened to be lucky enough to receive a copy of this one from them. And thank you so much! Hannah is the sweetest and I’m so glad to have you here!
my first booktube video i've seen! I'm a fan :) Thank you for diving in to a book that I loved so much!

Great review! I may need to keep an eye out for that one! I think I would really like it!

I read this book, and it is now in my top 10 ranked books! The writing was impeccable and it somehow made me feel like I was there. Loved the review!
Yes! Lisa See is such a brilliant writer. I'm glad you've enjoyed the book and review. :)
I have loved all of her books that I've read. Looking forward to this one!
Yes! She’s a great author.

I hope you enjoy it! And thank you! Sometimes I feel like I’m just rambling endlessly, so I’m happy to hear that it makes sense. 😅
I have it on my long list!
Not sure when I’ll get to it though. 😊
I hope you enjoy it when you get there!
Discussing at book group Wed. Have read all her books. Interesting characters and topics in all her writings.
Great book for a discussion! Yes, Lisa See is fantastic.

Yes! I really love her writing. This one is great. I also loved The Island of Sea Women.
In re male drs of today, you are so right! Nothing much has changed in 600-some years. Unreal
It is the worst! I almost feel like I’m preparing for war every time I go to the doctor’s office.
wait--why was scrivener handing out hardcovers?? :P here on hannah's glowing recommendation... 🥰

@@BandysBooks I’m thinking of scrivener the writing software…did you perhaps say scribner the imprint?? Lol
@@MargaretPinard I just saw this. Yes Scribner the imprint.
Lady Tan is one of my favorite books this year!! ❤
I’m so glad to hear that! I really enjoyed it too!
Are you wearing pajamas?
I am. Sometimes I shoot these videos late at night and I like to be comfortable.
@@BandysBooks Ha ha. I understand. :) It was just surprising to see. I wanted to make sure I was seeing correctly! :)
