I’m so happy to hear that my video helped you work through your thoughts on this book. I really enjoy Lisa See’s writing and this particular book was such a unique and interesting topic.
I read and loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. It's one of the few books that has stayed with me for these many years since I read it. I can still remember details from that book. I started The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (I think that's the title), it was a slow start, and it was a library book so I DNF it so I could return it, but it's one I definitely want to try again at some point. I will be reading Lady Tan for sure, thank you for this review, and for the "warning" on the squeamish parts, I may have to skip over some of them, but we'll see. Thank you for another awesome video.
I definitely think this book is worth the read. Also, if you haven’t read The Island of Sea Women, that’s spectacular as well (although there are some brutal parts of it toward the end).
I have loved all of her books that I've read. Looking forward to this one!

I just added a Lisa See book, I think it was this one, to the possibility list for one of my book clubs! I've read one of hers before, but it was quite some time ago and I think I'm due for another one.
Yes! I really love her writing. This one is great. I also loved The Island of Sea Women.
