The German focus clearly says that you need medium armor 1 researched BEFORE the focus completes or it wont make the variants. Same goes for USSR

my point was that Hoi4 offers strategies with those countries, for example getting portugal for tungsten, invade switzerland to go around maginot and argentina to be argentina

@@billwilson7841 tournament will also be with a so called custom map. its purely for game performance and those nations dont play a crutial role in any way. Reducing the time needed to ww2 from 3h to 1h is lifechanging

D-Day Wall not being allowed sounds cursed. Like, how much ground do you have to give away for free before you're allowed to push them out? I can't imagine what the justification is for not allowing a D-Day Wall that isn't just an arbitrary bonus to the Allies letting them get a free invasion off without needing to tech into Marines and other landing techs.
Edit: But then later in the video, there is a D-Day wall? Is it just a time-gated wall?
He was saying that the allies aren't allowed to d-day until a certain date, so there is no point in a d-day wall.

vanilla mod, removes unnecessary stuff and doesnt take 8 hours to get to barb
mod uses vanilla focus trees, division stats, equipment stats, research tree, and pretty much everything you can imagine except a couple useless countries being removed

Actually, some of the vanilla mods do change starting civilian counts slightly. The idea is to try and balance the total IC the factions produce, but it's more difficult in practice than execution.

I dont play Hearts of Iron all that much so I do wonder if the game correctly represents the greatest weakness of germany at that time - the lack of oil. After all the main reason why Hitler attacked soviets is that they calculated that by the 1944 they would not have enough oil to keep their tanks operational. They had to attack in 1941 and hope that either soviets collapse right away or they take oil deposits in the south otherwise they would be screwed which they were.
Yes Oil is a Problem, but you can get around.

@@Erik_Arnqvist i mean title + thumbnail is relevant to video and is made to get clicks. More clicks = more money = more videos. UA-cam works like that and I gotta play into the game. Videos have never done better than now and I can make more videos than before thanks to this. I am super happy with the current state of the channel with how youtube works. You just gotta see it from my point of view if you know what I mean
