Thank you. Your channel is a good example for people who think about studying ,moving abroad, which are understandably common nowadays all over the world.
17:10 scholar that is studying (as a) slavery! They really should pay us better and other working conditions should be better but anyways. Nice to see you recover well from that fall and well. Tbh, I thought about quitting my PhD taking inspiration from you, except I never really finished that video. When I came back to finish it to see if there is anything interesting I was shocked :D
This sounds amazing, Kaelyn! Excited to see where you will take this childhood angle. Children are such an understudied group but so insightful for fuzzy borders and liminal statuses. And they’re so exciting to find in the archives because yes, their voices are there. We just gotta dig a little.
Hi! Love your videos! I wanted to ask you something. I’m interested in history at university for undergrad, masters and maybe even DPhil. Do you have a tips for me going forward? Or just anything you wish you knew before you started?
Very inspiring video. You letting us know about your Phd journey in detail got to know the positive and even the negative points of pursuing a Phd will is very helpful for us in the future. Do the very best on your Phd and soon became Dr. Kaelyn. Thank you for sharing your journey. 🙂
Have you read “A Game Most Foul” by Alison Gervais? It came out this year. It’s about a Hard of Hearing girl from California who comes to London for a creative writing course. There’s also a mystery that has to do with Sherlock & Watson but I’ve just started the book so I’m not far into the mystery yet. I’m loving it so far!
Lovely video! And omg, that feeling of a breakthrough is so specific and so niche, but I know exactly how that feels to find one quote that just changes the game entirely! 😂 #justacademicthings Eta: When you're out working in libraries, how do you feel working on a laptop? With your home setup, you have that giant monitor that lets you see everything easily. Does switching to a smaller screen make it more difficult to look at documents/write? Have you ever used one of those portable laptop monitors?
Thank you. Your channel is a good example for people who think about studying ,moving abroad, which are understandably common nowadays all over the world.
Diana Bishop at Duke Humphreys is not an outing, it's a way of life. I'm living vicariously through this video right now. ❤
I really appreciate what you do. I’m in the final stretch of an MA program and holding on for dear life. These help ☺️
