I'd like to organize the Van Riper Massive MLB Expansion Exploratory Committee. You sold me.

I’m not into soccer, so I don’t know if promotion/relegation would work (not that it’ll ever happen), but I do think expansion is needed. However, adding two teams doesn’t feel like enough (particularly to address the pitching problem), so maybe you go to 36 teams, with six divisions of six teams each. Just spitballing.

This Week In Baseball and The Simpsons are basically the greatest TV shows ever. Also NBA Films 👈

The argument that rule change are needed to get fans interested makes zero because with Baseball Tonight and This Week In Baseball (OG) and most of the local sports pages all GONE the answer is that fans lack access to quality stories or whatever.

Pro/rel would create exactly the opposite, a lot of disparity. Why do you think Bayern Munich won something like 10 times in a row? Manchester City has won 6 of the last 7 times. In Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona have a 95% chance of winning each year. We would have the Yankees and a few other teams winning every year, it would destroy the attendance (and competitiveness) of all the other teams and huge disparity
