I came by after Brian's video revealing them. I was really bummed out by what happened to Lilith, I hope you get in contact with Kevin to make sure you guys can possibly prevent that build up she was developing and what ended up causing her to pass. The vets seemed to think it was genetic but I would absolutely love for this one to thrive!
Lilith’s loss was heartbreaking for the hobby so happy to see another one in capable hands. You guys are doing the right thing, young kings are fragile so no additional stress is needed. Keep feeding it snakes and let it grow. Great job, beautiful animal. Keeping fingers crossed for a male.
Lilith was probably my favorite snake to watch on youtube, and she left a legacy behind, and a hole in all our hearts. She's irreplaceable. But I look forward to getting to watch this little one grow, and hope your prince/princess thrives.
She’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m sure Kevin wouldn’t mind discussing Lilith’s necropsy as part of something to be aware of. I’m wishing you good luck with her and I sincerely hope he/she/it reaches the 6-8 foot mark. What a beautiful Leucistic King!!🐍❤️🐍
@@PrimitivePredators are you willing to share what you feed “Lucy”? I have always been told that for optimum health & size their diet should be variable with a heavy emphasis on snakes? Hopefully you know people who help to control python population down south so that you can freeze then feed some snakes to help Lucy get the snakes into her feeding rotation. I’ve read that freezing then thawing kills parasites, hopefully that is true? 🐍🐊❤️👍
That’s a perfect looking animal. It’s immaculate and without knowing I believe most people would assume it was captive bred. It seems to be very mellow already and I’ve personally seen an adult male king that was the calmest snake I’ve ever seen.
Dope. Seeing it hood and the transparency and the blood veins. Once gets bigger gonna be so sick. Going to Florida see y’all spot once all open. Your place gonna be what all them Florida boys wish they had.
Lucy is so affordable!! Kevin from NERD was crushed when his Lilith passed away. I thought she was the only Lucistic king cobra. She was one fiery and first lil girl... like she just wanted to kill anyone within her strike distance! They are just stunning!!
She or he is absolutely stunning!! Poor Kevin is so heartbroken loosing his obviously, so 😭 I’m curious what the cross with King Covid does to the venom if anything?
Well done on 50K subscribers guys 🎉 But I fail to understand why you are not over 1 million by now. Your content is high quality, entertaining and educational. Best wishes from Scotland.
Love this channel, one of maybe 5 channels I regularly check for new videos especially when the new place got started. But in my humble opinion starting another channel or even a separate playlist or series on Kyle's life story would be awesome. Seeing him on... I can't remember his name off the top of my head but the reptile guy from Detroit, anyway hearing the cost of some of the new and really the old stuff blew my mind. Hearing the outline story of how he got there would be really cool to see 👍
Queen COVID is looking mighty fine fellas! She’s such a sweet natured cobra! I am sure the Lucy will have a similar disposition as you clearly treat your animals very well! Can wait to see the progress
I didnt know there was any around other than the guy with a Malaysian Lucy king that he never shows off is it one of his offspring? I'm so happy for you guys
That is a beautiful cobra I hope everything works out for you guys it would be awesome to have more of them in the world. Once again beautiful and STORM would be a great name
Congrats guys! I'd be pissed too after 50 hours of dark closed in a box travel as well! He/she/tree/chair/noodle/rope how it identifies as (help us in this world) is beautiful and is a lucky lil 1 to have landed a home there... name it Lou or Blu I do like Lucy tho...
Awesome video guys! This leucistic King Cobra is so pretty! This is not exactly what i had in mind when you guys said that you acquired a rare snake, but this is so awesome! It`s so pretty! Names: Snow, Moonstone ( or just Moon ), Crescent, Crystal ( because you can see through her somewhat ). Looking forward to the next video guys!
Lilith is a perfect name for her but I don't think Kevin McCurly would be OK with that😦 How about Lillibet? That was Queen Elizabeth's nickname when she was a little girl. This girl is a Queen!!!
@@PrimitivePredators that would be great man. We’re up here in PA and hopefully when I’m done with this contract we can move down there in a few more yrs
Yes Lilith from NERD....SHE WAS IMPRESSIVE... your GAL is going to be a stunner like her its to bad she passed it was devastating for them i can't wait to see how she matures so cool congrats that's like the BUCKET LIST OF BUCKET LISTS SNAKE
Wow 🤩 He/She is stunning 😍 and so calm for that age! You have done a phenomenal job, not with just “The Lucy” but all your snakes 🐍 Queen Covid looks amazing! It was heartbreaking when Kevin lost Lilith, you could see that it literally broke him 😢 But maybe someday you guys could produce some captive born Blue Eyed Luci’s and Kevin could try again but with a healthy baby? Amazing video and thank you for sharing your new precious baby!
Keep it on snakes....you guys are in Florida get a connect from everglades and your good snakes are a better diet for kings much more balanced and lower in fats....once it gets lil bigger she can start crunching down pythons....but for the time any dead snakes that are meal size
I would be happy to see a normal 15 ft king cobra, lucistic is cool but you guys get to see & handle these animals all the time and appropriate a lucistic but for those that never seen one will not appreciate a lucistic, even though it's like hitting power ball. I'm looking foward to seeing this little one grow and breed, you guys definitely have the skills that's for sure. 👍
Fantastic Lucy King Cobra😍😘 By the way, if I'm allowed, wich is the price of an exclusive specimen like this ? Obviously feel free not to answer, I was just trying to figure it out. Anyway, all my best wishes to this little cuty (and to you, of course 😄).
Very cool snake. You should work with your vet to keep an eye on its uric acid metabolism. They should coordinate with the vets that necropsied Kevin's lucistic king to see if they can be on the lookout for genetic issues.
@@PrimitivePredators the fact that there is only one other animal known might be an indication that there are issues with animals that have this mutation. Of course there are plenty of other leucistic snakes, so maybe there is no issue... It could also be that there are fewer of these that turn up because I'm general, kings are collected from the wild, rather than produced in large scale breeding operations. Still, the issues that Kevin's snake had were pretty nuts. It seems prudent to keep an eye out for any possible issues given what a rare treasure this snake is. I'm not sure what could have been done to save Kevin's snake if the uric acid metabolism issues were detected sooner, but it seems reasonable that a facility with your resources could be extremely proactive.
@@PrimitivePredators it's also worth mentioning that mutations in multiple genes can lead to leucistic animals. It could be that there are different consequences depending on which gene is disrupted.
Seeing that awesome little pearl white cobra makes me want one so bad, too bad I doubt I would even try and catch a Gardner snake 🐍 let alone a venomous one of any kind lol,

Good to see another one in the state’s! And in good hands! Lilith will be missed! Hopefully this one will be as good tempered.
That's a game changer in the venomous snake keeping world along with the albino boom slang that was found.
The snake a crocodile community transcends and its heart warming. I strongly feel crocodiles can united the reptile community in general
Both the lucy and Queen Covid are beautiful snakes. Amazing how calm the Lucy already is.
An amazing creature.. reminds me of Lilith from Nerd.. can't wait to see how things progress

I remember when yall told me and Mr north Carolina about this snake lol congrats guys
That’s going to make a fantastic long term project!
Right?!
I’ve got an idea if you can you could get a camera drone to film the crocs from birds eye view
You guys always get the most beautiful animals. Love the channel boys.
I hope everything goes well with her. I know we were all heartbroken with Lilith
Thank you
How do you make sure your albino reptiles get enough sun without getting sunburnt?
Any chance for a update video?
You need to let Kenan know what you did to allow your snakes outside. Buttercup really needs to get some occasional sunlight and grass time.
