For example, it has a setting for fries (25 minutes) but it is apparently designed for a basket full of fries. For a personal portion I use the label that looks like a carrot and done! They are exactly as I want them. For nuggets? I use the fish preset. And those are two of the examples... the feature I like the most is that it displays both the temperature and the time and yes you can manually add time or change the temperature as needed but it will default to the preset once it has finished.I hope this helps.
