i have one of these, and i wouldnt want to live without it now. Honest, im a pretty good cook if i do say so myself! But with the actifry you dont have to par boil anything, and i can make fries or chips in 25 minutes, the only prep work you need is to chop the food in to the required shape, im cooking fried chicken in it tomorrow, i use it daily now. Also it is much more healthy and easier than deep frying,

Different items requiring different cooking times is a pain. Maybe they should've made a model with feeder hoppers. Of course with automatic woks, the tumbling drums will likely be better than pushing the food around with the paddle hoping that some might tumble over the paddle when encountering the plastic support spine for the handle which is also why there is a gap between the paddle and the sides of the pan which allows some of the food to get trapped inside the hollow paddle.

Mines a Halo low fat fryer which keeps fat down to a minimum . Good when you have gallstones. It grills beautifully. Much easier than an oven or grill or a dangerous chip pan. Easier to clean. A jolly good buy. Am delighted with it.

Love my Actifry, I bought the display model from Bed Bath & Beyond so it din't come with the box or recipe manual, I went on UA-cam to look for videos how to use this thing, gosh I cannot believe how amazing this machine is, I fixed fried chicken tenders with french fries, WONDERFUL. I will try your Chicken Stir Fry tonight. Love your videos

My understanding is the reason you would use this machine instead of a wok is with the T-fal you use much much less oil so it's healthier, no splattering of hot oil and it doesn't smell the house up like frying does. I have never tried it but that is why people use it.

For fried rice, the best rice to use is day-old rice. I don't know that I would put the eggs right into the actifry, I usually pre-scramble them just have them ready like you have the other ingredients.
    Thanks for posting this!

    Greetings from Norway!
This might be the salvation of all the cooking apparatus needed to fix some proper Asian food like Tikka Masala and Fried chicks.
Oh yes, I am a fairly good cook preparing most on my stove like meatballs with brown gravy and cooked potatoes, and yes I am fairly good with that scary wook pan.
But, I always end up with soggy, mushy, darkgrey pot of unreconasible veggies/chicken when I make my Indian food
Thus, I got one of them Actifrys. There are lot of vids where people do really fix perfect Asian food, and this video here will be the first recepie I try. Since I know every ingredients, and how to prep them per se, the only unknown factor will be my new Tefal ;)

Hi there Dryas, thank you for visiting...this was one of my first videos with the actifry I didn't know too much about it back then...you can tweak this a little better...it didn't get mushy or dry or nothing the veggies were nice and crisp...real fun to make in the actifry

  • @angieng8633
    @angieng8633 8 років тому +1

I'll rather use my Rice Cooker to cook chicken rice or fried rice. Cooks the rice together with the chicken, vege, etc from stratch(dont have to use cold rice). Just dumping all in and let it cook. Cooks Claypot chicken rice, soups too.
The fastest way is of course using the wok but gotta stand in front of the stove.
My Airfryer is used for frying fish, chicken, meat and baking cakes, stuff my rice cooker cant do ,lol.
    That's the Asian way/recipe anyway

Sorry to see your machine above was defective.
Saw your recent video stating you returned it for an exchange and hubby picked out the Delongi machine.
Sure hope that is working out great now, and sending you blessings, and I am sure you are making your fried rice recipe in the Delongi now too.
P.S. losing you pet is so painful, and I know how you felt, but I recall all the years of friendship and safety I enjoyed with my dogs, cats, and other pets, and it is all worth it. I wait a while before I buy another pet since we all need time to grieve the loss, and now Rainbow Bridge has all of them enjoying their eternal everlasting life:).

It looks nice but I still prefer the Philips Airfryer. The Philips design is more compact (i.e. easier to store in the kitchen), it has no moving parts and you can even bake all types of cakes and desserts in it.

Emmm,,You can cook all this within 6mins using a normal pan and you also can use less oil using a non stick..........putting oil each time adding the ingredients is consuming more oil that proper stir fry.

That moment of embarrassment when you realize you just burned 1.5 hours of electricity when you could have done the same in a wok with the same amount of oil in 5 minutes. (And yes I have a Tefal Actifry) I use it to make fries. Anything else is just burned electricity.
