It seems like modern pop punk is going back to a more upbeat, positive sound like in the early 00's instead of the more aggressive/sadboi sound of the mid 10's
As a veteran of the early 00's Pop Punk era I agree and I'm fully behind it, but I do Love the sadboi era too

What evidence do you have to support that? Every pop punk band in the past couple years has gone from upbeat and aggressive, to just sad and whiney. Literally the only bands that are still pop punk are neck deep and wstr, and they used to be the same band. And I was told knuckle Puck wrote this song a long time ago back when they weren't sad, which explains why this is actually good.

Got my heart broken at the start of 2018, and Knuckle Puck and some other bands really made things easier for me. I'm still on the way of getting through it and trying to fix myself and I'm just so happy Knuckle Puck's back.I can't wait for the new album.

i think his soft voice fits perfectly right at the end part where its jsut guitar for a brief 10 seconds, but other than that, yes, the co vocals ryan coulda handled the rest, id like to see the frontman of Knuckle puck use more distortion in his voice copacetic style tho, they need those vocals or the band will never be up to our expectations, still fun to have some new knuckle puck, im gonna go bump oak streeet and bedford falls tho, the vocals are much tighter.
