To Sonic fans and those who played Frontiers, the "glitchy girl" is one of the most hyped moment and absolute fanservice. Essentially, people was debating about the potential of that character being a regular cast member in the series instead of the usual one-off characters in most Sonic games, then they snuck this in an April Fools game of all thing and people went wild.
@@omegalegend9706 Yes, it confirmed she is alive. My point is more about the franchise having the tendency to leave game-specific character by itself and go back to using the main crew. So the fact the very next Sonic game (even if it is an April Fools) show they are willing to add Sage to Eggman's team as a recurring character and that she have her body back is very promising.
I really like this game for what it represents. Sega know that the Sonic fandom is strong, and embraces it instead of just accepting it. Heck, if you look hard enough there are some rather deep-cut references like "Let's do it to it", Shadow eating raw coffee beans, or the Super Monkey Ball arcade machine.
I mean Yeah this game was made BY the Sonic the hedgehog Social Media team. Their current social media manager was literally the executive producer on this. And well the Sonic Social media team have a reputation of being quite the memelords.
I played this game. It really is so much better than it has any right to be. I genuinely got emotional over a villainous train from an April Fools game.
when me and my friends played this game, it took 5+ hours of painfully voice acting all the characters (there were like 4 of us and we took multiple breaks) + creating jokes and new lines to match (knuckles and espio had an enemies to lovers thing going on) + we were getting tired towards the end so we just brute forced everything making the actual game parts awful and long. terrible experience 10/10 we finished at 1am
I’m not even that big of a Sonic fan. A Mario guy for now and forever, but Matthew and Ash have made this more fun than any Sonic experience I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of!…outside the films of course, they’re epic too 🎉

I remember a couple of years ago, one of my friends wanted to do a sonic DnD thing (Homebrew I think) and he asked me to be a traitor. Sonic got hurt and everyone ran after eggman, I stayed silent and after like 10 min I pulled him into another room, "How long was their fight in real time?" "Like 5 min?" "Ok, as soon as they run off I start recording and take a pillow and smother Sonic to death." "?!?!?!?" "Traitor, remember? "Traitor! not killer!" No joke the look on his face for the rest of the day trying not to reveal what happend made me feel like a psychopath
I love that this brings up Knuckles knowing Espio a long time, because in the Comic books Knuckles and Team Chaotix were friends before Knuckles met Sonic. This was the best Sonic game!
This whole series was a WILD ride with PHENOMENAL voice acting by Mat and Ash. Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. Keep up the great content! (And gripping social commentary lol)
Love that Matt got stuck on the line about Eggman built new infrastructure so much that he immediately forgot that the next line is about how he's going to use the infrastructure to make a DEATH EGG.
This has easily become one of my favourite series on the channel, and I've watched most of the videos on the channel! I love how much care and effort was put into what would have just been another simple, bland April fool's game. And the top tier voice acting truly elevated it to a new high! One of my favorite chill and goofy (none lore) lets plays that real shows off the hallmark of a GT live, Mat bantering with whoever is behind the camera. It’s especially fun when it’s something Ash likes because you get this dynamic spark that never occurred with Mirror Matt.
Wow. No spoilers but that final boss battle was WILD & it's cool to see how everything from the start of the game weaved itself into an elaborate ending. Once again, the voice acting and commentary was fantastic! Also, roasting MattyPatty was fun. This series was a very fun & crazy ride!
I have watched this series to completion multiple times at this point and I cannot express how much I enjoy it. It's defiantly my favorite GTLive series ever. I will say not only did I get through this series, become a pat pat pal, and find a new appreciation for sonic games since I haven’t played one for 10 years, but i also did something else or found some other appreciation I am sure. Not sure where I was going with this honestly.

I love story based games and the voice acting was top notch. You can tell Ash is dedicated when toward the end she almost breaks into coughing fit but holds back to do Shadow and Rouge's lines. I'm a bit sad these videos don't get as much views as I think they are the higher quality and more engaging videos. I loved Cooking Compainons aswell and I'm glad you finished that and this one despite low viewership. I'm not a Sonic fan I was always more into Zelda and Pokemon but this game was still fun regardless I never knew the games even had such a big cast.
This was great! I love this game and I'm glad you guys hammed it up while playing it. I really hope "Matty Patty" (Barry) comes back in future Sonic stuff. He's an everyman and I think that's a character the Sonic cast needs.

Turns out, as the Grumps informed us, a known member of Game Grumps helped create this game as a project of love, not just an April Fool's joke. GTLive is always so funny! Recently I’ve been watching my favorite UA-camrs for hours! I took some of my youtubers and tried to cartoonist them in picrew and I put MatPat in it. The whole reason I Cartoonified them is because I turned them all into high schoolers and made them in “UA-cam High!”. It was just a fun animated web series idea I had yet I keep designingng it. Whole reason I say this is because I just want to say thank you for providing this awesome entertainment for everyone!

Stephanie is such a good voice acter when I started watching the video I actually thought that it was tail's talking inside the game

I'm a bit sad these videos don't get as much views as I think they are the higher quality and more engaging videos. I loved Cooking Compainons aswell and I'm glad you finished that and this one despite low viewership. I'm not a Sonic fan I was always more into Zelda and Pokemon but this game was still fun regardless I never knew the games even had such a big cast.

I've never been into Sonic, but I love a murder mystery and a piece of media that is self aware, and god damn it, Mat and Ash were having SO much fun the entire time with the jokes and the voice acting, I was fully along for the ride from the first video 😂 I'm so glad he decided to finish this, I had a blast

Turns out, as the Grumps informed us, a known member of Game Grumps helped create this game as a project of love, not just an April Fool's joke.

GTLive is always so funny! Recently I’ve been watching my favorite UA-camrs for hours! I took some of my youtubers and tried to cartoonist them in picrew and I put MatPat in it. The whole reason I Cartoonified them is because I turned them all into high schoolers and made them in “UA-cam High!”. It was just a fun animated web series idea I had yet I keep designingng it. Whole reason I say this is because I just want to say thank you for providing this awesome entertainment for everyone!
