I've really appreciated your videos. I'm a truck driver who spends nearly 11 hours a day sitting behind the wheel of a truck, and I've managed to lose 15 lbs by being consistent with taking my calories and giving myself grace to have some bad days on my journey. Like today, I'm feeling a lot of emotion from my grandfather passing away a few days ago. I allowed myself to go over my calories by a small bag of cheetos and a Pepsi today, knowing I'll be right back on track tomorrow. Thanks again for the motivation!
A bag of cheetos and a pepsi. Thats the diet of a loser. If youre gonna cheat at least have something substantial like a burger or nuggets, something with protein.
really surprised by the fact that exercising the non-injured limb will reduce muscle loss in the injured limb, that's so fascinating! Always love your videos Jordan
I signed up for a workout app and also took a walk today! I have also been eating a salad 2-3x a week for my work lunch. I have already lost a little weight just from that. Now I have to cook more healthy meals and be more consistent on my workouts.
I work out, but then spend 2 or 3 days sore, so I wait, and often that rest period throws me off track and I become sedentary. This inspires me to keep going and to make it a priority
Literally watching this as I workout for one of the first times in MONTHS. I went from a 5-6x a week workout plan to maybe one workout every 3 weeks. Such a nice reminder that showing up and doing something, even if it’s not where you once were, is important and valuable.
I do the “f* it” thing quite often, so this video was so helpful to put me back on track and know that a small setback doesn’t mean I should give up altogether!
I am watching this video on 20/12/2023 here in India. I have been going to the gym for 3-4 years now but irregularly and whenever there’s a break due to unavoidable reasons, I tend to make that break bigger than it is supposed to be because of fear of not being able to perform at pre-break capabilities. Also, I have been trying to learn web development these past 6 months as to ease off some financial burden on my mother but due to my day job, the learning has not been consistent. BUT THIS CHANGES NOW. I will come back to this video exactly one year from now and give an update on my physical health and on my professional career. I will try to remember the droplet analogy whenever I will feel like quitting. See you all next year!
As a serial fitness routine starter and quitter, this was very relevant and the kick in the pants I needed to get going and keep going! I’ve been working to overcome the “if I can’t be perfect, why even try” mindset in fitness and nutrition. Your videos and instagram account have been super helpful with that. Thanks Jordan!
Serial fitness routine starter and quitter. This is the perfect description of me. Hopefully after this video we can change our ways for the better. I have the act same mindset has you. If I can’t be perfect, why even try. We really have to change that.
As a mom of three boys, 6yo and under, and a night shift worker, with a rotator cuff injury, who bounced back after the first two babies but hasn't from the third this was the motivation I needed thanks for the always awesome content!!!
Thank you! I really needed to hear this. I want to lose 3 stone. This year I've lost 10lbs. I think that's good. But when I tell people I see the "Is that all?" face. But I used to binge and then starve myself. Or binge when my weight went up. This year with your help I have overeaten on holiday, when Ill or upset. But the next day I've got back on track. So I feel like I've made a HUGE change. Thank you, you've changed my life. ❤
After starting my own coaching business, my mental health went down the drain and my exercise routine went with it. I've been working on getting back to a consistent routine for so long now and this was wildly beneficial for me! Thanks man
I almost never finish an exercise program, and used to speak down on myself for it. Then I changed the perspective. It's not that I'm not consistent it is however knowing I'm always doing one and is actually consistent eventhough changing!
The visual with the eye drops and wine glass was so helpful! I definitely struggle with the feeling that “I don’t notice any progress so it must not be working” mentality but the visual was so helpful and I will keep thinking about that as I work for consistency in nutrition and working out!
Needed this video. Thank you! I think about the “perfect workout” too much & it paralyzes me from doing just 10 minutes or when I don’t feel like working out.
I cried so hard. It has been a struggle for me. How do I get back on track? "You walk through the fucking door!". This hit home. Thank you Jordan for this video❤
Don’t laugh, not making excuses, but so exhausted after I get off work. I walk about 7 miles each day. Thinking I need to get up early and do something before I go to work
I got introduced to this channel so randomly, when you began this journey with Alyssa and it has been MONUMENTAL for me. For someone who is also on a fitness journey, but doing it on my own, it felt so comforting to know im not alone with doubting myself, wondering if I'm doung things correctly, getting emotional about the scale fluctuations etc etc. This has given me such a perspective shift. Thank you both!
I’ve been on a “fitness journey” as long as I can remember. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve sought advice from and how many different things I’ve tried. You are absolutely my #1 go-to source for everything fitness. I love your delivery, I’m able to fully comprehend, and I’m finally seeing and feeling results without feeling like I’m suffering to get there. I’m so grateful for you and your content!
It sounds simple (but not easy) …. but one of the biggest things for me in finding consistency was learning how to "do it anyway," or like Nike says "just do it." Working with a trainer got me the accountability to show up even though I really didn't want to go, but you could always meet up with friends, put it on your calendar, or white knuckle your way through. For me, I would cancel on myself but NEVER on someone else, so I used that to my advantage. After about 4-5 times of "doing it anyway," it got easier and easier to just go and get it done when I didn't want to. This definitely plays into Jordan's concept that ACTION comes first, THEN MOTIVATION. I know it's hard, but fight through enough and it gets easier! Keep that ball rolling.
It's funny knowing you haven't actually been at this bjj location in a bit, seeing the clips still. Gonna miss that guy when he stops showing up! Thank you for the content Jordan. Loving the consistency of the podcast and the videos. Makes me smile seeing you pop up in my notifications!
I was anticipating this video to be irrelevant and just Jordan saying “don’t make excuses, do it bc you’re an adult not bc you want to like paying bills, etc etc”, but I actually enjoyed it. Thank for the encouragement and practical advise man! Loved the ending by the way
I love watching the information you have been giving. I have been on crutches for the past almost 2 years after having Covid. Still working with doctors figuring out exactly what and why, I have developed massive inflammation and get around by using crutches .Watching your videos helps me and finally finding something to help me move. It is not my favorite but biking has allowed me to not be in much pain and keep me going. Thank you for what you do.
I have been a fitness instructor for years and suffered my first work injury, an epigastric hernia, teaching this summer. Post op getting back into the gym has been a STRUGGLE. But I’m back at it with my consistency….now just to make gains. That will come but man….its been a complete mind fuck. No other way to put it…….this video perfect timing, as always. Thanks!
Your breakdown of the “why” and brutal honesty I find really motivating. Also the comments on this video give me confidence that I’m not alone in my battle to be healthy consistently! Working on giving myself grace when things get hectic and I fall off the healthy lifestyle, the wine glass visual was great in reminding that a few “bad” days is ok if it’s limited to days. Thanks for more great advice and content!
I find your honesty to motivate me a lot. It’s so hard to change the mindset of “why have I not lost anything in 10 days? “ and so easy to slip back to the old routine.
Great video !! Loved: “Something is better than nothing” ….I’m going to repeat it to myself when I’m thinking of excuses for not working out. Thanks for everything 🥰
I asked you about consistency in the live yesterday and here it is, in my inbox today. I am 100% Reason #2. All or nothing for me. Hell I ALMOST left the gym today because I forgot my water bottle. Typing it out, it sounds so stupid, but that's my mindset that I struggle with all the time. Great timing on this video for me, for sure. Thanks as always
Been struggling holding myself accountable recently when it comes to eating well and sleeping well this holiday season - newborn, back to work, and inconsistent schedules. This is speaking a lot to me! Although I am okay with gaining some weight over this season in my life I need to take better care of myself, I need to set a great example for my new baby boy 💙💪🏼
Nothing keeps me more motivated to keep going than thinking about where I want to be in 5 years. It also helps the lows feel more insignificant. Much easier to pick yourself up when you realize you only lost a drop or two out of that wine glass
This video couldn’t have came at a better time. I haven’t worked out in about two months or less. Jumped on the treadmill and knocked out 3 miles listening to this. Thanks Jordan! Something is better than nothing. I feel so much better about how I’m feeling today ❤
I’m a mom of three. It’s been rough during and after the pandemic. I burned out and put myself on the back burner for self care. Time for a change. Thank you for the video.
I really needed this. I didn’t watch the video right away because of the holidays but marked it to watch. So glad I did. Been fighting multiple joint issues (both shoulders, both hips and one ankle) which makes me just want to quit. You reminded me that even with pain I can still move I just have to do it differently and the movement will help in the long run.
Hi it's me 🙈🙈 thanks for this! It's so easy to find excuses. I have three young kids. I'm a full-time nurse practitioner student involving 12 hours a week of daytime clinical. I work 36 hours a week as an emergency room nurse night shift. I feel like life is in a constant state of chaos and always behind with everything.
Hi Jordan Thank you so much you can’t imagine how you changed my life I have always exercised and ate healthy very careful to not eat junk food i gained 20lb within 2 years and didn’t know what is happening You are right I never counted calories in my life I used your calculator and followed that recommended calorie and lost 11lb in 68days it’s insane and it’s not too low Iam not hungry at all Just cut down on my olive oil intake never measured just poured it 500 calories only from that I just appreciate you so much thank you .
Great timing for this video. I have been having a hard time getting back into the gym with a recent injury and sick kids. I have to remember that just getting into the gym is the first step
Thank you - I've lost a lot of strength due to inconsistent training. I was disheartened, but as you say, it's relatively easy to build back up. I'll get right to it!
We shouldn’t be do things to get noticed, but because it is the right choice for our health and the wellbeing of others. Appreciate your approach to support others!
The wineglass analogy is such a good reminder for any long term project or skill. For me, this is in encouraging for my Japanese studies. I am definitely still at the drop by drop stage.
This video is very timely - I’ve been having a hard time staying consistent on the days I work out on my own and am not held accountable by my trainer. Action -> Motivation. Thanks for the content, Jordan.
Your channel is so encouraging and motivating. I actually think that the ideas I’ve learned from binging your channel is going to actually help me lose weight for the long term. Thank you.
Thank you for this video, Jordan. I really needed this reminder. My father passed away last year and I've struggled with the motivation to get my fitness back on track. Thank you for reminding me that it's ok to start light and meet myself where I am at today and not where I was before.
I had the exact experience! I strained my wrists during calistenics. I didn't quit tho. I decided to focus more on strength exercises again and I came back I to calistenics way stronger than before !
I definitely fall into the "stopped because of an injury" category. Torn achilles surgery put me out of commission for quite a bit and while I tried to stay active with hiking and what not over the summer, I really need to get the strength back that I had. Your video is giving me the push I need!! Thank you!!
This video really spoke to me. I have spent some time away from the gym after coming back from vacation and days turned into weeks and now it’s been 2 months. The hardest part is getting through the door! You said it! Thanks for the reminders and encouragement
You have helped me get my mind out of the rut! With all these influencers giving bad advice, You have mad sense of everything you teach. And not kidding I was thinking I have bad consistency so this video has been helping since the very beginning!
Your videos are helping me to understand how a weight loss process works and what needs to be done. I’ve always underestimated the mental game and what a huge impact it has on the weight loss process. Thanks for your great support and motivation to keep going.
Perfect timing on this video. I've been enjoying the holidays which is great. Now it's time to get back on track. Not focusing on weight loss at this time. Trying to stay consistent with sleep and moving my body in some way almost daily.
Thank you for the encouragement to keep exercising. As a 53 yr old with a couple different injuries I needed to hear this. That is very interesting that you can have an injury but still workout and preserve muscle!
This helps hearing it. I took off a year or so. It’s been difficult to get consistent. It’s disappointing how weak I am. It’s like starting all over. But once I get through the 1st weeks and get consistent it will be easier to stay on trac
Your content has positively impacted my life. I may take a pause on my routine when life happens, but I keep going. I’ve learned that I can trust myself to follow through, which has improved my confidence and self-worth. I can’t thank you enough, Jordan!
Got back to working out after 5 years and injured my knee. I didn't know how to modify my workouts so I just stopped going back and I feel awful because you can actually feel your body getting stronger and then after an injury, it's easy to get into the mindset of 'oh well, im screwed now' . But you're right, those are just excuses!! Thanks Jordan.
I’ve never been athletic growing up, but I’ve always felt better after a workout. I’m almost 40 and it’s a great feeling knowing I can jog next to my son while he’s riding his scooter and practice his jiu jitsu moves with him at home. Your videos help me stay grounded and motivated to continue to make healthy lifestyle choices.
It's so hard to stay on track but this video - plus so much more excellent content by Jordan on his IG & podcast - really takes the guilt and negative thinking out of it. Since following this channel I have been more consistent than ever, meaning I definitely still mess it up but get back on track without overthinking. Thank you!
This video was super helpful. This last year after having a change in my job circumstances I lost my way with my workouts and it resulted in weight gain but next year with a new job that has a better work life balance I’ll be be back in the game!!!!! 💪🏻
I always love your no-nonsense, no BS information. Thank you for being real. Staying fit and eating right is a journey. It’s taken me a long time to understand this process-thank you for continuing to educate people.
I seriously was debating about doing my workout or making a cup of tea and grabbing a book on this snowy day. Now I'm watching your video and getting my workout done ✅ Thank you!!
You’ve just kicked my ass. Thank you Jordan! I’ve been having issues with consistency lately and it’s actually so simple once you get out your head! Thank you again! ❤️
Really great video inspired me to keep going and stop leaning on excuses!! Was struggling to keep on track with eating because of all the cakes and chocolates turning up at work. Going to focus on the long term goal and ignore the short term temptations.
I've really appreciated your videos. I am sorry for your loss. You're doing a great job, kudos to you
Awww...I'm so sorry for your loss. It's tough, but you're going to make it. Time will help the healing.
A bag of cheetos and a pepsi. Thats the diet of a loser. If youre gonna cheat at least have something substantial like a burger or nuggets, something with protein.

“Meet yourself where you are today” best advice ever. Thank you!

It’s definitely an excersize in mental toughness! It’s so hard to keep going when you’re just not seeing the changes!
The visual with the eye drops and wine glass was so helpful! I definitely struggle with the feeling that “I don’t notice any progress so it must not be working” mentality but the visual was so helpful and I will keep thinking about that as I work for consistency in nutrition and working out!
The visual of the glass and the drops of water is INSANELY good, definitely needed to see that today!
Great point. I often feel like all my hard work doesn’t show results as quickly as MOST others. I don’t quit, but I get frustrated for sure.
Needed this video. Thank you! I think about the “perfect workout” too much & it paralyzes me from doing just 10 minutes or when I don’t feel like working out.

Worked out for a year with a torn meniscus. It wasn’t optimal but I learned how to train around my injury
I got introduced to this channel so randomly, when you began this journey with Alyssa and it has been MONUMENTAL for me. Love your preaching about get back to it! We’re not perfect, we don’t live in a perfect world so perfection is overrated!
Loved the ending by the way
Consistency for me can get boring but by finding ways to make small changes to my routine keeps me going. I hear you Jordan..."just don't quit"
I needed this! "Consistency" has been a big word in my life lately
I love watching the information you have been giving. I have been on crutches for the past almost 2 years after having Covid. Still working with doctors figuring out exactly what and why, I have developed massive inflammation and get around by using crutches .Watching your videos helps me and finally finding something to help me move. Thanks!
I’m here for all the victories big and small!
Living a healthy life is not a two-week program, it’s playing the infinite game. Thank you, Jordan!
I find your honesty to motivate me a lot. It’s so hard to change the mindset of “why have I not lost anything in 10 days? “ and so easy to slip back to the old routine.
You make me feel seen and heard and give me the tools I’ve never had to be successful. So glad I found you!
Great video !! Loved: “Something is better than nothing” ….I’m going to repeat it to myself when I’m thinking of excuses for not working out.
Thanks for everything 🥰
I need to try the inner circle to ‘keep going’ I love what you have to say and I’m trying not to quit!
The only binging I do now is binging your channel! Thanks mate! ❤❤❤
This came at a perfect time. Knowing it’s simple but not easy and you will never be starting where you left off (and that’s okay) is a great reminder.
Thank you for the hard truth - I want to stop quitting and keep going ❤
a great reminder when motivation is low
I really needed this. I didn’t watch the video right away because of the holidays but marked it to watch. So glad I did. Been fighting multiple joint issues (both shoulders, both hips and one ankle) which makes me just want to quit. You reminded me that even with pain I can still move I just have to do it differently and the movement will help in the long run.
I hurt my wrist and when you brought that up I laughed out loud! Like you were speaking to me directly! Thank you for this video. I needed it!
Love your “Just Do It” attitude and messaging 👊🏼
Hi it's me 🙈🙈 thanks for this! It's so easy to find excuses. I have three young kids. I'm a full-time nurse practitioner student involving 12 hours a week of daytime clinical. I work 36 hours a week as an emergency room nurse night shift. I feel like life is in a constant state of chaos and always behind with everything.
Hi Jordan
Thank you so much you can’t imagine how you changed my life
I have always exercised and ate healthy very careful to not eat junk food i gained 20lb within 2 years and didn’t know what is happening
You are right I never counted calories in my life I used your calculator and followed that recommended calorie and lost 11lb in 68days it’s insane and it’s not too low Iam not hungry at all
Just cut down on my olive oil intake never measured just poured it
500 calories only from that
I just appreciate you so much thank you .
Great timing for this video. I have been having a hard time getting back into the gym with a recent injury and sick kids. I have to remember that just getting into the gym is the first step

The wineglass analogy is such a good reminder for any long term project or skill. For me, this is in encouraging for my Japanese studies. I am definitely still at the drop by drop stage.
Whooo I needed this one. It’s been a rough couple of months.
This video is very timely - I’ve been having a hard time staying consistent on the days I work out on my own and am not held accountable by my trainer. Action -> Motivation. Thanks for the content, Jordan.
You have the best most practical ways of explaining weight loss and working out!! You motivate the hell out of me!!! Thank you!
Thank you for your videos. I am 53 and need to get back my addiction of gym workouts. I walk daily and hike every weekend but I need the gym.
Loved this. Saving this so I can hear whenever I don’t want to exercise
I had the exact experience! I strained my wrists during calistenics. I didn't quit tho. I decided to focus more on strength exercises again and I came back I to calistenics way stronger than before !
I definitely fall into the "stopped because of an injury" category. I am so glad I found you recently. So many things you say resonate with me and just click!
Thank you for the motivation and reminder that sometimes we just have to get out of our own way.
This is helpful and so true! We can do hard things. It has to be a way of life, not just for an event.
Thank you for your down to earth advice about being consistent and not giving up after a week or a month or a year.
This is great to remember, especially during the holidays!
This was a major learning - you can always start fresh again the next day!
Love this video. The perspective of things not being a quick fix but a lifelong journey is often not talked about in the fitness/health industry!
So good. Just starting out, again! The gaps in between are getting shorter, and this video helps hugely.
I have injuries that I can use as excuses a lot- I needed to hear this!
Always love your videos. It makes so much sense when you say it. The glass and drops of water are such a perfect example. Thanks for keeping me sane!
I’ve worked around an injury for years and I agree with your statement about working around the injury.
I always love your no-nonsense, no BS information. Thank you for being real. Staying fit and eating right is a journey. It’s taken me a long time to understand this process-thank you for continuing to educate people.
This is so helpful, always need the reminder of consistency.
Perfect to hear this after coming back from vacation….. thank you
Struggling with several injuries. Thank you for this, it’s the talk I needed today
Very timely video for me. I struggled with consistency and needed to hear this. Thanks Jordan!
I seriously was debating about doing my workout or making a cup of tea and grabbing a book on this snowy day. Now I'm watching your video and getting my workout done ✅
Thank you!!
Excellent advice, slow and steady wins the race!
You’ve just kicked my ass. Thank you Jordan! I’ve been having issues with consistency lately and it’s actually so simple once you get out your head! Thank you again! ❤️
Consistency is where I always struggle even knowing something is better than nothing. Mom life just wears me down sometimes!
Great advice. I don’t comment often but I love how real you are. I can relate in so many ways to all your video topics and all your no bs advice. 🎉
Really great video inspired me to keep going and stop leaning on excuses!! Was struggling to keep on track with eating because of all the cakes and chocolates turning up at work. Going to focus on the long term goal and ignore the short term temptations.
Truly appreciate your guidance to stay healthy and fit. Been following you on instagram forever many years ❤
