I feel that Tennile's quote of "what's the matter? you can dish it, but you can't take it?" was a turning point in the show in that it backed Ramsey into a corner that he'd never be put in before or since. In that moment, if he kicks her out, it proves her right (that he cannot "take it"). You can figuratively see the wheels turning in his head as he realises he cannot continue with his current course of action and scrambles to save face. Tennille was a genius.
Suzanne was done dirty by the editing. You can tell the editors really wanted to push Suzanne as a villain because they were scrambling to find someone to fit the villain role after the Joseph incident.
Suzanne is one of the most misunderstood and unjustifiably hated contestants in the history of the show. There have been plenty of legitimately BAD people (like Matt from S16 and Jason from S4) on this show, and even people who were just villains on the show who were pretty bad. Suzanne, on the other hand was pretty bad with social skills, but not a bad PERSON overall. There's a difference between the two.
@@musicworld-dh4iq I actually think there haven’t been that many certifiably bad people on the show. There’s a handful, but probably no more than 10, max. I can’t even call someone like Elise a bad person, because who knows if she’s acting more ridiculous for the show? If you say something bigoted that’s a tell. Or something really nasty I guess. But even then, it has to be pretty awful. These people are under a lot of pressure
One of my favorite seasons - so much happened. Louie’s early kick out, Tennille’s argument with Ramsay, Dave and Kevin’s injuries, Joseph’s breakdown, the list goes on. So many character arcs, none of which are truly bad.
To be honest, Suzanne is definitely over hated. I mean she wasn’t fully wrong about Tennille earlier on because there were times where Tennille did have her struggles and was almost an early boot and the blue team didn’t bother giving her too much of a chance even when she moved to the blue team and she did okay on her only time on the blue team.
Sabrina has one standout moment to me in that she used her very specific niche background to BODY the men's team on the Calorie challenge. I LOVE getting to see chefs from unconventional backgrounds show how their unique talents can shine. I definitely think Ariel was a thousand times better personality and talent wise in Rookies vs Veterans. She was kinda barely seen this season at all, which makes me sad. Idk if you have looked up Van's history at all - but I did and he comes from a professional wrestling background. His mom was actually pretty legendary, it turns out! It should come as absolutely no surprise he's such a force, and I think that's why a lot of us love him so much! I will say, I love Dave a lot, too. But I wouldn't say he dominated this season, personally. He had a lot of challenge mistakes, including to me, his infamous crepe. But! He was the single most solid on line, and that says so much given the arm. It's just, to me that's more strong line cook energy than head chef, y'know?
The most iconic season and the peak of the show! So many wacky moments and fun personalities that make this season great! Dave and Kevin are my favorite F2.
Sabrina was pretty underrated imo. While she could be a bit annoying at times, she had quite a few great and funny moments, and she did stand out to me more than probably most people. Also what the editors didn't really highlight was that she started off the competition pretty well, getting a botw at some point and getting Ramsay to trust her as a competent chef, before going on quite the downfall for the second half of her run
Andy was high-key REALLY unlikeable. There's a reason the blue team was hard on him. He was a whiny douche. Found myself rooting for Robert over him, despite everything.
Robert this season was far worse than Andy. I hated Robert this season, arrogant, cocky, and unfunny. Andy atleast had a few funny quotes, the only thing that annoyed me is when he wanted to put up Robert while he was in the hospital. Other than that he was fine to me. Robert on the other hand had a huge falloff in both skill and personality.
The amount of epic funny wacky insane and heartwarming moments season 6 has is insane you not only get a legendary story about a man who broke his arm and won but you also get the most legendary confrontation they know who they are and they can speak for themselves and agree completely Flynn dave will always be my number 1 favorite character contestant and person in all of hells kitchen with Ryan from season 22 being my second favorite
I’m honestly surprised how Joseph has stayed low for so long lol. Imagine if he decides to create a tik tok and his first post is “Hey guys, I ain’t no b*itch”😂😂. And idk if it’s just me but Tony looks like the guy who play catcher on the local triple A baseball team.
Nice to see Tony getting appreciation, one of the more underrated early boots in my mind. He was a fun presence for his short time on the show, plus he made a good signature dish despite not cooking professionally prior. I always admired that. I actually don't agree with Sabrina being forgettable; I thought she had some funny confessionals, plus the moment where Ariel and Tennille pretty much shut her out of the final 7 challenge when she was the only one who knew what meat they were using was another memorable moment.
My rankings for each of these seasons are a combination of character personality, impact, and, of course, kitchen skills. 1. Dave Levey (Come on, I had to. Dude won with a broken arm. You can't write that stuff. I will say though, him going ape shit on Tennille for nominating Van over Ariel is a bad look on him.) 2. Tennille Middleton (A fucking queen. One of my favorite chefs ever and a reality TV legend. To be able to comeback and cook with your head down (for the most part) after all the things she did and went through early on is insane and will never be replicated again.) 3. Van Hurd (An over the top person in terms of energy, passion, and being ready to cook. Unlike Paul though, this guy isn't as cringy and feels real with it.) 4. Kevin Cottle (Great runner-up, but also big deal. I broke one of my ankles and fractured my heel on the other foot and trying to go strong after that. Nah, I'm joking on the tone. Good run, Kevin.) 5. Amanda Davenport (I remember her weird signature dish and her looking adorable, so yeah.) 6. Ariel Contreras-Fox (Not as good as she would be in her next season, but still decent.) 7. Joseph Tinnelly ("I'M NOT NO BITCH.") 8. Suzanne Schlicht (She's actually a decent villain guys. Her annoying antics were never over the top unlike some other characters in HK, so it made for good TV. Her rival is obviously way above her, but I like both.) 9. Tony D’Alessandro ("I love to cook. I love to learn.") 10. Jim McGloin (He's not anything crazy or anything, but he's pleasant and fun to watch. The editors really fucked him over here though.) 11. Lovely Jackson (Oh my bad. She was an even better donkey than Melinda and made it farther. So there you go.) 12. Robert Hesse (Yeah...so this tenure happened. They and himself honestly did one of the best characters of my favorite season so dirty here. Yes, come back, but not so soon in a season like this.) 13. Melinda Meaney (Another one of the better donkeys in HK, but this season is pretty good with characters, so I can't put her higher.) 14. Andy Husbands (I never really liked this guy.) 15. Sabrina Gresset (I forgot, what did she do to make it that far again?) 16. Tek Moore (The fact she remained cocky as hell and riding her high horse despite doing wrong is what lands her this low for me). 17. Louie Cordio (His time on the show should say enough here.)

Andy is not a villain in any universe. He did one questionable thing, for strategic reasons. And his whole team went with it
