I agree, but to me, Paula was better overall than Danny. I liked Danny a lot, but to my eyes, Paula seemed unchallenged the entire season. It just seemed like HK was too easy for her so I saw her in the finals early. Danny had some competition and hick-ups on the Blue Team. That's why it's key to win the head-to-head challenge before the final dinner service. You get first pick, but more importantly you don't get stuck with the last pick (as horrible and playground'ish that is to say)

@@amazingtoludada300 Same with Mia Season 18. She only makes it because she keeps winning challenges but she sucks as leader. Had Motto not quit, Ariel and Motto would be perfect top 2 but still, Ariel's gonna win no matter who she competed with.
Now that I finished season 22, I would say Ryan and Johnathan take #1. Not only are both skilled chefs with great backstories, but both have an amazing friendship and chemistry that feels good to watch on TV. I have never seen such dynamic in Hell’s Kitchen history. Season 22 is definitely one of the better recent seasons
Honestly, I just love pairs where they seem to actually get on really well as well. Like, not even necessarily bffs but say, Christina and Justin, they seemed to have quite a healthy respect for each other and I was very here for that.
Actually if look at it through a different lens, Jon really did win season 11 as Jan’el couldn’t take the job due to failing a drug test and Mary was the runner up, and Jon did get a head chef position under Ramsey. So in reality, Jon was the real winner of season 11. Also I think you should rank all the winners next, then all the runner ups after that
Also, Mary comes back as the Butcher again but hey, if she enjoys being the Butcher so why not? Also, Jon makes a comeback on Season 21 as the Helper Chef for Alejandro in the finale and man he looked different than he was on Season 11.
My favorite quote in HK history is Dave saying take me out because you don’t think I’m the best not because of my arm at the final four! Ramsey kept him because he was the best! That is an badass!
And both of them have the best comeback stories. Jason went from not making it to dinner service on Season 9 due to being dehydrated to be the runner up on Season 12 while Scott who mostly being the punching bag of his teams either in Blue Team and Red Team and mostly by Anton and Joy won the season.
One thing I find annoying is when they make the winner clear by giving the eventual runner-up the Purple Edit. They did that with Benjamin on All-Stars, making what could’ve been a villain redemption storyline into having him be the Purple Kelly of All-Stars. Then they focused a lot on Trenton on Young Guns, all while Megan was the Purple Kelly of that cast. And they kinda did that to Dafne this recent season too, barely featuring her until she made it to the Black Jackets and eventually the finale with Alex on Battle of the Ages.
@@nachoalvarez7171 Tbf the only reason Holli won season 7 is because Jay, at the time, kept mentioning he wanted to sleep with her, which, I guess, irritated Ramsay a lot so instead of handing Jay his obvious win, he handed it to Holli. It's also interesting to know that Holli didn't get the job after winning due to visa issues, she still excepted her cash prize and the title of HK winner, while Jay became so successful after season 7, to the point that he's working with Ramsay alongside Christina right now.
It's the same situation with Jon, two chefs who were the best chefs on their team who unfortunatlly had a bad [ass performance, as well as being on the runner up team and not once being nominated. They were also one of two chefs who weren't nominated on their respected seasons (with the other two either leaving or being eliminated without a nomination).
The top 2 of season 5 and 6 are the kind of top 2 that either the door opened, we would have a well deserved winner nonetheless, because they're really neck and neck to each other. While most of the top 2 has an obvious stronger one compared to the other, these 2 finalists are equally strong and we don't know who's gonna win because they're both strong, consistant and dominant throughout their competitions.
I think the thing that still makes me call Season 17 my least favorite final 2 was just, how transparently rigged the entire competition felt that season. One could honestly make the argument she shouldn't've even made black jackets. But nope, Gordon for some reason couldn't do team transfers this season and couldn't get rid of Elise either, and so just made up bs excuse after bs excuse to send the blue team members home over and over despite objectively performing better in virtually every service in the season.
Fr, I love the idea of bringing back a bunch of the best chefs to compete against each other, but I hated how obviously rigged it was. Like, if they wanted to give Michelle the job so badly, why not just give her an offer and not waste everyone's time?
Also, the Red Team Season 17 totally sucks as they lost a lot of challenges and too much arguments between Michelle, Barbie and Elise. I'd prefer Jennifer to make it to Black Jacket over Michelle because Jennifer has been consistent since Day One on All Stars while Michelle makes a lot of mistakes including sabotage Manda who has celliac disease to serve raw pasta twice and also her disastrous performance on charity night and makes Barbie snaps, "HOW ABOUT YOU GIVE ME YOUR SPINACH, MICHELLE!"
I hope they're able to do another All-Stars at some point, because I can see them learning from the mistakes of the previous All-Stars season and making a killer season. I mean, the first All-Stars season of Drag Race is considered one of their worst (due in large part to the nonsensical pairs twist), but they bounced right back by having All-Stars 2 be one of their all-time greatest seasons. Maybe that can happen with HK.
I feel the edit did a really good job in the S10 black jacket section. They showcased why Justin was going to be in the F2 over Dana, but also the leadership and skills that propelled Cristina to the win.
One thing I have to say in Virginia's defense is she handled her loss with absolute class. Virginia even admitted Heather was better and deserved it more.
At least Bryant took his lost like a champ unlike Russell. I’m still shocked that Gordon Ramsey has Russell to come back. Changed or not, Russell won’t get forgiveness. I mean blackmail your teammates for your mistakes?!?!
I agree. I wouldn't have ever invited Russell back to HK. Especially considering his final remarks towards to other chefs. Granted they may not have given their best efforts, but can you blame them? Russell bullied them most of the season, so what could be more fitting? It was karma. Treat people how you want to be treated.
Russell has actually commented on that finale not too long ago, stating that his infamous remark was filmed mere seconds after he had just lost the finale. Goes without saying, but he does regret having made that comment at all.
@@chairmanlmao4482He came back at Season 10 for their first Black Jacket service along with other runner ups such as Jay, Kevin, Paula, Bonnie and Virginia. Even he got roasted by Paula for being a sore loser in the service.
Finally I have been waiting months for this video! Thank you Flynn for responding to my comment! And especially, with all the HK content you provided. ❤️
The season 8 final two shoulda been Boris and Raj, the dream pizza making team, then season 8 would be no.1. Besides, Raj is an expert poissenier… however you spell it.
I feel like a lot of people don’t realise that Gordon’s decision on who gets eliminated isn’t on a pure basis of who is making the most mistakes and he considers a lot of things. That being if he sees potential for them to grow and fight back and fill in the gaps of what they need to learn by progressing further in the competition and theres lots of examples that show it. Obviously Virginia for example was really inconsistent but with the early casts all severely lacking in experience and her having said in a video on her channel that they were not being given sufficient time and training to learn the menu Gordon kept her because he saw potential for her to learn from her mistakes and grow the further she went which I feel she definitely did over time. He got rid of Keith because his attitude was hindering his performance and wouldn’t be prepared to learn and listen and didn’t do well running the pass.
Season 12 was pretty close. Has Jason been more assertive in handling Sandra he may have won. Airel definitely had a tough fight with Mia. But sge definitely got redemption. If Meghan wasn't so dominant, 14 would be closer than we thought. Paula and Danny were the closest by far easy to love it
Respectfully, i don't think Jason was ever winning, Underdog story aside, Jason had a couple of dodgy moments, some of which involved Sandra (mostly the whole waving a knife at her, and calling her a dumb female dog)
They pretty much solidified who was going to win when Scott kicked Jessica out while Jason chose not to kick Sandra out On an unrelated note, even though she didn’t win, Mary telling Dan to get out in her squeaky voice was both hilarious and badass at the same time
Jason has a hot-temper attitude, he easily got upset and yelled at people at times, which could be a problem if he won the season. Scott, on the other hand, had one of the greatest comeback story the show ever has, from a punching bag of both blue and red teams, almost got eliminated at final 6 had Kashia not so crashed and burned that week and probably being seen as one of the weakest black jacket chef in HK's history to be the strongest leader and vocal in the kitchen, which led him winning the season.
@@quangminhtran2916I mostly agree, but even at his worst, there ain't no way Scott was the weakest black jacket in the show lmao. Not when Virginia, Sara, Spaghetti Josh, Matt, and Susan exist

I’d put season 22 finalists in the top 5, both were very likeable, had extremely solid runs, and were pretty neck and neck in the finale. Not to mention the bromance they developed.
Maybe the best and worst at the final service from each season. I guess figuring out the best is more vibes I guess, maybe most surprising performances in the final service.
The only thing i can remember from season 13 was when Bryant choose Sterling as one of his team members, which lead to Sterling kissing his cheek. Funniest moment from Sterling for me
My mom watched all of the seasons of hells kitchen (with the exception of season 21) with me her favorite winners are Holi and Michelle couldn't tell you why but she loves them as winners
Another great video, thanks! Would like to see one about the best, and worst, 2nd placers. I always thought Jay should have won and that on about any other season, T and Kevin would have won.
Double top 5: Chefs who went through a Face or Heel turn upon returning to the show. It could be on an all star season or as a guest appearance in a later season.
Since you did a video on the many rivalries of the show, are you going to cover the many friendships? Maybe also a video on the most talented casts of the show?
Just watched that season recently and they were my top #2 for sure. Their bromance and comradity was genuinely SO heartwarming - especially that I see their socials recently and they still get along as good friends (along with Sammi!) which makes me smile to see that those three are still close after going through hell (literally)
@@EpicAndrew97Kevin thought that Season 18 will be the same as the Season 17 but it was not he's expecting to compete on Veterans VS Rookies, losing his passion to compete and he intentionally made mistakes.
The argument that the young ones have a disadvantage is simply a slap in the face for the winners. They won because they were better! Winning only because of age is ludicrous and Ramsay wouldn't do that dumb crap.
The younger and female chefs have an advantage over the older and/or male chefs when it comes to choosing the winner. Gordon has said before that he finds young female chefs to be some of the best at running a kitchen. Would explain Michelle winning over Benjamin, and Christina winning over Petrozza. The male chef could be better, but he just gives it to the female chef. Literally only reason to explain why Michelle, a young, incredibly inconsistent female chef with few good services (especially on a fucking All Stars season), won over Benjamin, an older better male chef, and Nick, a young male chef who is one of the best contestants performance wise that Hell's Kitchen has ever seen
Goes without saying, but it goes without saying that Heather versus Virginia is without a doubt the single most lopsided finale in the show's history and will most likely remain the most lopsided finale in the show's history. Heather in particular probably had an objectively top five greatest finale performance in Hell's Kitchen history while Virginia did as Virginia does and crashed and burned.
S1 finale NEEDS to be ranked higher. It gave us Michael’s iconic sabotage, Andrew’s mini-redemption arc, Dewberry making both Chef Ramsay AND Scott laugh! But the best moment of all was Michael’s out of nowhere line: “You guys cook like old people f*ck” arguably the greatest line in HK history!
Ariel doesn't get enough credit for her win, especially with how much she grew from her other season. Yes it was definitely ranked in the right spot, I just wish that she would get more credit for her win because she's amazing
Flynn you read my mind. I was literally thinking to myself the other day "He should do a top 5 worst finales" and you delivered 10 fold! Keep it up! :)
Final 2 My honest takes; 1 - My heart would've wanted Elsie to be there, but Michael and Ralph were the clear top two, so it was the right call. 2 - I still would argue that Keith deserved that spot over Virginia, but there was no doubt that Heather would've still won. 3 - Again, heart would've wanted Julia to be there, though it was clear from the get go that Rock was going to win. Bonnie was a great underdog though. 4 - Petrozza really deserved that win, honestly. Nothing against Christina, but I feel that Petrozza was the notably stronger of the two. I'd argue that Corey was a bit more deserving to be in the final two than Christina. 5 - 100% the right call on both Danny and Paula. One of the strongest finales, where you really could've flipped a coin on who would've won, and no-one would've blamed you. 6 - My favourite final two. Dave and Kevin are two of the greatest chefs ever on the show, and though I was super happy for Dave winning, I wouldn't have blamed anyone for wanting Kevin to win. 7 - Definitely a dark horse final two. Whilst arguably the right call, Holli is one of the more forgotten winners. Jay should've won. 8 - Jillian *should've absolutely been in the final two.* Jillian's pass performance I feel wasn't significantly worse enough to have lost out that spot to the very inconsistent Nona. Woulkd've made for a more satisfying finale for it to have been JIllian to have taken down Russell. 9 - Arguably the right call? Tommy and Elise had no chance to get in, Jennifer could've potentially made it in had it not been for *that situation*. 10 - Christina was definitely going to win, you could tell.. but Justin was the right choice for being in that final two. 11 - Initially when I wrote this comment, I maintained than Jon should've made the final, but upon reflection months later, I've come to understand based upon his poor pass performance. THAT BEING SAID... I feel that his performance throughout the season was still strong enough that he should've been largely considered for that finale spot. Especially if you consider where he's at now, and having appeared during the finales of Season 21 and 22. 12 - My heart definitely would've wanted Rochelle to be in the final alongside Scott, but Jason also deserved to be in the final two. 13 - La Tasha was the clear winner early on.. but I would've put Sade in place of Bryant. 14 - T and Meghan were practically a shoe-in right from the get go, but Meghan was just such a raw talent that it was clear she was going to win. 15 - I debate at times on whether or not I would've swapped Kristin with Ashley. Ariel begrudgingly would've still been there. 16 - I.. actually don't think Heather was very popular with a lot of fans. It should've been Ryan and Heidi. Again would've made for a more interesting dynamic. 17 - *NICK. SHOULD'VE. WON.* There's a reason him being eliminated by a NON-chef is an incredibly sour note for the majority of us HK fans. 18 - Had Motto not decide to take himself out of the competition, I would've wanted him to be in the finals with Ariel. Would've made for a closer final, though Ariel would've still likely won. 19 - Honestly, you could've taken ANYONE from the final *FOUR* into the finals and I wouldn't have blamed you. Would've preferred Declan over Kori, but Kori and Mary-Lou still made sense. 20 - Arguably the right call with both Megan and Trenton. Heart would've loved to see Steve bounce back and make that surprise run however. 21 - Nothing against Dafne whatsoever, but I think Alejandro would've made for a better choice to go alongside Alex. 22 - Had this list been made after this season, I suspect the final two of Johnathan and Ryan would've ranked absolutely high if not Top 5. An incredibly strong final two.
Jon and Keith shouldn't have won, Gordon is looking for a leader, they couldn't lead, and you think they both deserve to win? But I agree with Nick, unlike them 2, he got screwed over by a twist that was made so Michelle wins
Elise would be at the bottom due to her poor attitude in her original season, damn she could not stop crying when she gets sent to the chopping block because she would never agree that the failures of the team losing was usually her plus every time she says "I never make the same mistake twice" or "I never throw anyone under the bus" was always a lie
Scott and Jason are my all time favorite finalist pair. Season 12 overall was my favorite HK season of all time. Entertaining variety of contestants, entertaining dinner services, entertaining Ramsey outbursts, entertaining plot twists, entertaining personalities... but most importantly, we got an awesome comeback winner who came from rock bottom. I also loved the runner up who seems to get over hated in my opinion. Jason may be a bit cocky but he's definitely fun to watch and he's certainly no Russell.
I think a lot of people are really harsh on Nona being in the finale. Yes, she was inconsistent, but compared to her running the pass and commanding a brigade, she was much better at directing than cooking.

My top 5 final 2: 5. S19-Kori and Mary Lou (most beloved two in the series) 4. S14-Meghan and T (obviously Meghan dominated this season at every turn; T remains the greatest chef to never win HK) 3. S10-Christina and Justin (While Christina is overrated to most by this point, no can deny she's a powerhouse as the red team Sous chef on the show) 2. S5-Danny and Paula (the most dominant chefs up to that point; could've been the case in S2 if Keith was in the finale alongside Heather, tho) 1. S6-Dave and Kevin (suffering injuries mere days into the competition only to end up in the finale, while still pretty obvious in hindsight, they were more than deserving of the title Battle of the Goliaths; not to mention iconic) HM for final 2: S9-Paul and Will (while pretty dominant in their own rights, they just ruined it for me when they backstabbed Jennifer in the final five. Yikes! I'm clearly not the only one) S12-Jason and Scott ( It's good seeing Jason getting another shot three seasons after being med-evac in S9 only to crush it during every service and then some; Scott, meanwhile, had a pretty bumpy road throughout but definitely made it worth the comeback. I just wished Joy hadn't quit during the final five, considering she was the frontrunner)
Correction about joy: she wasn't a god damn frontrunner, she was a damn bully, if you watch the season again she throws people under the bus to protect Kashia, and when that backfired in the final 6 she quit the following service because her plan didn't work She tried to be sneaky but she failed, idiot really thought she was gonna be in the final with Kashia
@@EpicAndrew97 I agree there. I've watched S12 more than once already and the signs were rather obvious. Just don't get me started on those two wanting to put up Rochelle for elimination because she wanted to start a family. Like, really? I mean, even with the most recent seasons, they weren't immune to putting up anyone for dubious purposes. If anything, Kashia being sent home after the first Black Jacket service might have been foreshadowing regarding the next episode, when Joy finally made her exit during the final five service. Simply, wow. Her title as the frontrunner was already dead in the water long before the Black Jackets, in hindsight. Thank you for your response.
I can say this about Virginia: nearly two decades have passed and she's still triggering purists enough to say her mere existence in the finals- from a cast all less capable than Heather by a country mile- is a slap in the face to every other finalist because they like Russell more than her.
She definitely deserves more credit though, especially with how much she grew from her other season. It was definitely ranked in the right spot, I just wish that she would get more credit for her win because she's amazing
Also, Mia mostly good at challenges but suck at dinner services because her job was Private Chef so she must be not used to work with other people. And she put Puerto Rican dishes on her finale menu as she is Puerto Rican descendant and makes her team confused of what her menu is supposed to be. Ariel in the other hand is very consistent since Day One and barely makes mistakes throughout the competition. She's the only veteran who is consistent.
While I’m also not the biggest fan of Virginia, I have to give her credit for doing her best even though the cast was weak and she wasn’t as experienced! I hope she still found success in her life
I still stand by my opinion that if Hassan had stayed on the blue team he would’ve made it to the black jackets. Hassan and Ashley would have been a much better S15 final two!
Before I start this video I am just going to say I think Flynn will say seasons 2.3.4 at least have final two where one of the people (Virginia, Bonnie and Christine) do not deserve to be final two. Just my prediction😅
Virginia definetly doesn't deserved to be runner up. But, both of Bonnie and Kristin are underdogs even though Bonnie is a crybaby while Kristin is kinda annoying whenever she speaks.
Christina did not deserve to win season 4, Gordon Ramsay just didn't want to hand a win to someone older than him, I guess he finally learned his fucking lesson in season 21 when giving Alex the win
Yes. Bonnie did really bad in the middle game and was lucky to have had a good service at F5/4, in which Julia got eliminated just because he stood against Rock, also got nominated for the first time all season. Jen/Julia and Rock would have been a better F2.

I mean she didn't know he was engaged until his fiancé showed up, you could see it on her reaction plus she did do an interview about what happened since that moment
Will’s brigade failed him vs Paul. I liked them both in the finale, but felt Will was always the obvious winner. Even chef Ramsay told him it wasn’t his best service during the consoling, but idk if it was necessarily a bad move to put Carrie and Elise back together
Lots of critics, Keith's elimination in season 2, blue team losing the final 7 service of season 4 meaning Matt Makes the black jackets over Louross, and many more
To be honest, I was really sad about the all-star season finale but we did get the most iconic nick moment and I was really ok with rooting for Benjamin due to the attitude change :). If it was the beloved nick :(

Virginia making the finals is a slap to the face to the 41, soon to be 43 other finalists
@@EpicAndrew97 Michelle (S17) and Dafne (S21) (imo) shouldn’t have made it to final two either, so that’s technically 39 soon to be 41 finalists

Gordon basically did from day 1
Now that I finished season 22, I would say Ryan and Johnathan take #1. Not only are both skilled chefs with great backstories, but both have an amazing friendship and chemistry that feels good to watch on TV. I have never seen such dynamic in Hell’s Kitchen history. Season 22 is definitely one of the better recent seasons
I agree, season 22 is so wholesome and it became one of my favorite seasons
I say it takes #2...
Nothing will beat Dave and Kevin's final 2 with them both being injured, during Ramsay's prime and surviving until the end
Also I think you should rank all the winners next, then all the runner ups after that
He’s already done that
Also, Mary comes back as the Butcher again but hey, if she enjoys being the Butcher so why not?
Also, Jon makes a comeback on Season 21 as the Helper Chef for Alejandro in the finale and man he looked different than he was on Season 11.
He certainly got the laugh laugh in the long run of it, that's for sure.
@@amazingtoludada300update it though. I don't think it has season 20 or 21

My favorite quote in HK history is Dave saying take me out because you don’t think I’m the best not because of my arm at the final four! Ramsey kept him because he was the best! That is an badass!
Both Scott and Jason really demonstrate that when you have the passion and skills second chances can go a long way in HK.
And both of them have the best comeback stories. Jason went from not making it to dinner service on Season 9 due to being dehydrated to be the runner up on Season 12 while Scott who mostly being the punching bag of his teams either in Blue Team and Red Team and mostly by Anton and Joy won the season.
@@margarethmichelina5146 Scott is my favorite winner, because I genuinely would have cried if I was outcasted like that
One thing I find annoying is when they make the winner clear by giving the eventual runner-up the Purple Edit.
But that means Holli was purpled too
@@nachoalvarez7171 Tbf the only reason Holli won season 7 is because Jay, at the time, kept mentioning he wanted to sleep with her, which, I guess, irritated Ramsay a lot so instead of handing Jay his obvious win, he handed it to Holli. It's also interesting to know that Holli didn't get the job after winning due to visa issues, she still excepted her cash prize and the title of HK winner, while Jay became so successful after season 7, to the point that he's working with Ramsay alongside Christina right now.

Yeah, Jillian was far stronger and consistent throughout the season. She would have been more deserving than Nona for sure.
@@MdnightWndNona was very sweet but didn't deserve the position, however it was awesome seeing Russell completely throw away 250k in the end
Same with jon from season 11 but at least he git a head chef position

Also, both of the top 2 are very likebale so no matter whose door is opened, they deserved to win

With petrozza losing it just felt like a robbery
I think the thing that still makes me call Season 17 my least favorite final 2 was just, how transparently rigged the entire competition felt that season. One could honestly make the argument she shouldn't've even made black jackets. But nope, Gordon for some reason couldn't do team transfers this season and couldn't get rid of Elise either, and so just made up bs excuse after bs excuse to send the blue team members home over and over despite objectively performing better in virtually every service in the season.
Only thing he did was switch robyn to the blue team again
@@thewhambam And he switched Josh to the Red Team. Although that only led to him getting the mid-service chop in the very next episode.

@@heymistercarter. season 22
Explain all stars season then
Season 12 was pretty close.
They pretty much solidified who was going to win when Scott kicked Jessica out while Jason chose not to kick Sandra out
On an unrelated note, even though she didn’t win, Mary telling Dan to get out in her squeaky voice was both hilarious and badass at the same time
Jason has a hot-temper attitude, he easily got upset and yelled at people at times, which could be a problem if he won the season.

Speaking of finales. Have you considered doing a video on the worst final services?
Examples
Virginia/Russell/S17/Will(due to Krupa)
Don't forget Paula who has to handle with Lacey being a whiny bitch and also Mary who got screwed over by Dan.

The only thing i can remember from season 13 was when Bryant choose Sterling as one of his team members, which lead to Sterling kissing his cheek. Funniest moment from Sterling for me

Final 2
My honest takes;
1 - My heart would've wanted Elsie to be there, but Michael and Ralph were the clear top two, so it was the right call.
You could say that Dave and Kevin can speak for themselves, they know who they are
Also I agree with the Nick point
Jon and Keith shouldn't have won, Gordon is looking for a leader, they couldn't lead, and you think they both deserve to win? But I agree with Nick, unlike them 2, he got screwed over by a twist that was made so Michelle wins
Why are you writing an effing book? Its a tv show for Gods sake
There is no way you watched Jon’s pass performance and still think he should have won.

Dave and Kevin where literally handicapped for 80 percent of season six yet they made it to the final two with ease. Like how, just how bro
My top 5 final 2:
5. S19-Kori and Mary Lou (most beloved two in the series)
4. S14-Meghan and T (obviously Meghan dominated this season at every turn; T remains the greatest chef to never win HK)
3. S10-Christina and Justin (While Christina is overrated to most by this point, no can deny she's a powerhouse as the red team Sous chef on the show)
2. S5-Danny and Paula (the most dominant chefs up to that point; could've been the case in S2 if Keith was in the finale alongside Heather, tho)
1. S6-Dave and Kevin (suffering injuries mere days into the competition only to end up in the finale, while still pretty obvious in hindsight, they were more than deserving of the title Battle of the Goliaths; not to mention iconic)
HM for final 2:
S9-Paul and Will (while pretty dominant in their own rights, they just ruined it for me when they backstabbed Jennifer in the final five. Yikes! I'm clearly not the only one)
S12-Jason and Scott ( It's good seeing Jason getting another shot three seasons after being med-evac in S9 only to crush it during every service and then some; Scott, meanwhile, had a pretty bumpy road throughout but definitely made it worth the comeback. I just wished Joy hadn't quit during the final five, considering she was the frontrunner)
Correction about joy: she wasn't a god damn frontrunner, she was a damn bully, if you watch the season again she throws people under the bus to protect Kashia, and when that backfired in the final 6 she quit the following service because her plan didn't work
She tried to be sneaky but she failed, idiot really thought she was gonna be in the final with Kashia
@@EpicAndrew97 I agree there. I've watched S12 more than once already and the signs were rather obvious. I can say this about Virginia: nearly two decades have passed and she's still triggering purists enough to say her mere existence in the finals- from a cast all less capable than Heather by a country mile- is a slap in the face to every other finalist because they like Russell more than her.
What I find funny is that Virginia apparently went on to be pretty successful.
I disagree, LaTasha was absolutely adorable. I actually remember her for how nice and level headed she was, how drama free she was.
Number 12 Ariel won because she came off as more of a leader as opposed to Mia who came off as a Boss.
Mia is like an evolved version of Virginia: Standout in challenges but useless in services. Would have been a perfect Masterchef candidate
Even though Jon and Jay didn't win their seasons, at least they are working with Chef Ramsay now
While I’m also not the biggest fan of Virginia, I have to give her credit for doing her best even though the cast was weak and she wasn’t as experienced! I hope she still found success in her life
if you have the time please do a ranking video of the black jacket brigade in each season.
I still stand by my opinion that if Hassan had stayed on the blue team he would’ve made it to the black jackets. Hassan and Ashley would have been a much better S15 final two!
Nope Hassan would have failed on the wedding episode no matter what team he was on .
@@jeremysheppard2177 agree to disagree
So what you don’t know- I was working for GR at Caesar’s and asked to do all stars-conflict of interest. I was also asked to do chopped and due to working for Caesar’s since Ariel got fired within 6 months it didn’t work out. I worked for Caesar’s for 4 years and mgm for 3 years. I worked-all the other “winners” leave, give up or can’t hang. Trenton was my sous chef. Do your research.
This is a wild ass question to ask you, but given that you have spent a lot of time talking about reality TV shows such as Hell's Kitchen and Survivor, do you have any thoughts on an old reality TV show called "Tough Enough"?
can you do a video ranking black jacket teams among the different seasons?
11:06 this season was one of the best with Alex and Daphne!
Alex and Alejandro with Alex still winning would have been a more competitive finale
Why doesn’t flynn get the fact that if russel won Gordon Ramsay would get so much hate and probably wouldn’t be where he is today😐
Can't wait for the updated version after season 22 is over
ngl after watching season 16, the only thing that stood out about heather was her shit with andrew
It sounded like a great move, right until Paul was able to control them both
Same as Kevin's thanks to Amanda's massive mistakes and Dave has Suzanne which she made no mistakes on the Final Service.
I wonder if anyone has ever called the show about Ramsay’s BS decision 🤔🤔🤔
Lots of critics, Keith's elimination in season 2, blue team losing the final 7 service of season 4 meaning Matt Makes the black jackets over Louross, and many more
Paul: My fire isn't out!
Megan, Dave, Heather, Danny, Alex, Rock, Christina Wilson - obviously the most dominant winners in HK
To be honest, I was really sad about the all-star season finale but we did get the most iconic nick moment and I was really ok with rooting for Benjamin due to the attitude change :). If it was the beloved nick :(
Flynn hitting those Virginia and Nick tropes again. :)
Here's something I thought of for a countdown video, though I'm not sure how to name it: top 10 (or more) saltiest/least gracious/whiniest contestant exit speeches. I guess you could just call it the worst. Russell would be #1 of course but there are some other doozies out there. I don't think Flynn has done anything like that before, but I could be wrong.
And I just actually bothered to look up Flynn's past videos and see he already did a saltiest elimination video. My bad.
I mean he could always do a video which features all the seasons and these elimination speeches can be on it
I'd rank Season 21 higher... Dafne and Alex were easily my top 2 favorites that season.
Why was dafne one of your favorites 🤨
@@Thefrogking234 the real question is why wouldn't she be?
@@dankgamingmlg3377 she threw Cheyenne under the bus maybe and imo she was just annoying
@@Thefrogking234 I didn't think she was annoying at all I felt like she was wholesome. With throwing Cheyenne under the bus it is a competition and it was in the individual stage, u gotta do whatever u can to save urself. Doesn't mean you're a bad person. If Dafne didn't do that she would've gone home. She did also explain her reasoning behind why she did that
@@dankgamingmlg3377 I feel like whenever she talked about her heritage it's always so goddamn corny believe me I respect remembering where you came from but you don't have to mention it ALL the time
Ever since Season 22 came out I would put Ryan vs Jonathan as the second best. Mostly because no one will ever touch Dave vs Kevin as number one
Ooh my favorite has always been season six.
@Flynn where would you rank Johnathan Vs Ryan?
I feel like "the finale being two women was a letdown" describes fanbase feelings for 90% of the women in the show, funnily enough!
It would have been cool if one of the criteria was if the the season would still have a satisfying conclusion if the runner up and winner were swapped, which would definitely apply for seasons 5 and 14. Granted, T's edit would have been different in if she was the winner.
Agree with you with alomst everything. I would only switch Kori and Mary Lou with (6th Place) Paul and Will (5th Place).
I would appreciate it if you looked at what the winners really do when they get to Vegas-Kim melted down, blew all her money, Michelle went back to Texas-Caesar’s couldn’t have her actually acting as a chef so she kissed babies and all that. I was an actual chef at Caesar’s Palace at the time. Super talented but couldn’t hang in Vegas now she’s in the home base of GR Group which is amazing. I’ve seen so many “winners” out here and fail. I have opened Michael Mina, Giada, and Martha Stewart’s restaurants in my 7 years in Vegas that I got from Christina-who I rarely speak to. Talk to the source.
Problem was Ramsay being such a simp. Virginia over Keith is a prime example of Simp Ramsay coming out. along with Janel Season 11, Ariel Season 15, Mia Season 18, Kori Season 19 and other black jackets getting screwed over during the first 18 seasons
Scott and Jason were a great final 2
Jason got his second chance of course and made the best of it
Scott was bullied by the red team for the entire second half of the season and overcame Kashia and Joy’s bullshit
I like how Kashia and Joy thought that they should be final two
@@PrinceYamiUchihaCosplayseeing how Joy was so reliant on Kashia, she really expected to be able to carry her all the way to the end and make it that easy
But it backfired very hard in the final 6, and how did she react in the following service? She quit and acted like a 4 year old, I hate how the show tried to make us sympathize with her in the end when she didn't deserve to win after she threw poor Rochelle under the bus
@EpicAndrew97 Joy did do something on Instagram saying that the producers wanted to have a narrative of the angry black woman and accused them of making her quit, something like that
@@PrinceYamiUchihaCosplaythat's such BS lmfao
@EpicAndrew97 I'm not lying, it did happen, there are videos on UA-cam about HK contestants to prove it
Kevin and Dave not up to par with other final 2s?? Bruh that’s cap they barely made any mistakes all season. Kevin is one of the most decorated chefs to be on HK before and after the competition. I was actually surprised he came back for all stars.
