I use a handkerchief to grab the handles. It also packs in the pot to wrap up the stove and lighter so they don’t rattle. I have a handle like that and I might cut the handles to make it smaller. Cool gear. 🦑
I turn the heat down so the flames don't get to the handle 😁I normally use a 750ml Ti pot that was a french press. It has a bail so I can use a stick. Mostly I'll use a micro fiber cloth for the handle. I'm a fan of butterfly handles like on the Olicamp XTS pot. I've been tempted for a while to pick up Firebox's 650ml Toaks modified pot with the butterfly handles.
I have a 750 ti pot from Bluu that's no longer available on Amazon. It has handles and a bail. By using the bail I don't have to grip the handles tightly so the heat is easier to endure. I've also melted a buff on the handles in the past. LOL
1/4 piece of hanky for me. Keeps everything from rattling in my pot too. 650 toaks with mini gas canister, soto amicus, mini bic, hot lips, and the hanky. All nice and neat in the pot with lid on and in my lite AF pot bag.
knowing my luck I would loose or forget the gripper and them would be left trying to grab a hot pot. What we need to make is (looking at you Ben McMillen) a long handle spoon with built in pot gripper so not only would it be multi purpose, but when I forgot it, I would not have a pot holder or a spoon. I can see a pot gripper being nice addition for pot with handles just be be on the safe side.
I’ve always kept a small rag in my pot that stops everything inside from rattling around and works great for grabbing the handle. I never cook in my pot, just boil water.
I think Walmart has a handle similar to that. Might be longer than that one. I haven’t weighed it. I really haven’t had any trouble getting my pot off my stove but maybe I just don’t feel heat like that anymore 😂
You'll be back to using your favorite pot in the near future. Soon you won't have to worry about pot grippers or hot handles. (I think you know what I'm referring to.) 😉
fad breh! these pot grippers aren't gonna last, another thing to lose. just wrap the handles with tape! MSR also has a pot that has rubber around the rim so you can grab it without handles. i like the wrapped, flip up ones that also lock the lid on so you don't need a bag.
Hi, I watched your UA-cam video. Your every video is really awesome. But your channel and your videos expect more views and subs. I analyzed Your UA-cam channel and I found UA-cam video SEO is not done. This is why your video is not going viral and views are not increasing.

Nice! Looks a lot like the GSI Minimalist Great pot--keep us posted on how it works for you. Thanks, SH!

I keep a scrap piece of leather, a little of 2 inches square in the pot along with all the other stovie stuff.
I’ve heard of others doing that. Smart!

😂😂 I believe it!! Not going to lie I’ve burnt a finger a time or two.
had the same issue with my toaks 750 burning my fingers on the handle. went to garage grown gear and purchased the Soto Micro Lifter.
problem solved
The more safisticated name then “Grabber” 😂🤣

Well done! Great pot. ✌️
Thanks dude!

Hahaha right??
I use a Riney square of a silicone mat.

I’ve heard that a lot! Crow showed me his.
You ever try the GSI soloist??
My buddy Shawn had a grabber the last time I was backpacking with him. He loves it.
Going to search it dude!!

What is it with everyone’s going to lose it? Apparently everyone loses their gear? 😂 and dude those pots don’t have UL qualifications 😂
@@SouthernHike 😂 lol neither does your grabber! You need to get the 10g micro one Justin and Steven use to still be ul 😆
😂🤣 it matches my toaks weight so I’m satisfied
And who is Justin and Steven? 🤔🤔
@@SouthernHike pshhh lol 😂 do yo thang calves!
Looks cool. I actually just ordered a new pot from Fire Maple earlier this week. A little bulkier than a simple pot, but we'll see.
Awesome! I’ve heard good things!!
Ive read the reviews, people are freaking kinda rude douches. Love ya brother!!
Had that grabber for 5 years and didn't find it that useful. Maybe because I usually use my 750 pot for boiling water.
John I’m not sure what you mean? The handle is to prevent burning my hand. Not hold it for food hahaha
@@SouthernHike it was just another piece of gear that I didn't use. I'm glad you found a solution for your handles.
Good video but you didn't put a link to the product of the video.
Done 😂
Jeffy likes apples 🍎
There's nothing "game changing" about this. Pot grabbers have been out forever. You lose those grabbers then what?
