I actually think it could be natural, As a gymnast (his background) he could just have changed his regiment to heavy weights instead of unweighted body exercise. A 5-10 pound over a a period could be something achivable
I do think that he’s natural. If you look at his physique in the first movie he’s not THAT much smaller, he had more muscle and more fat in the second movie, then the third he’s a little more muscle and less fat. It’s decent progression.
I agree. The low body fat makes the muscle gain look exaggerated. I don’t actually feel like he’s put on crazy amounts of mass and I wouldn’t really be surprised if he didn’t do any intense lifting previously. Like this is something I imagine someone with decent genetics and low body fat who’s never weight trained for mass could put on.

I doubt he took anything. Tom probably hadn’t prepped much (mass wise) for previous Spider-Man films since he’s playing a High School kid. No need to beef up. He’s naturally a guy with low fat and never seemed to have a pump in shirtless scenes. He recently played a soldier on Cherry, and Peter Parker is getting older so why not gain some mass? Dude’s 24 now so muscle maturity is more noticeable as he exercises
Tom is 100% natural. He's been lean his whole life. He was lean in Civil War, Homecoming, Infinity War and Endgame. He said he bulked for Far From Home but it wasnt the look he wanted bc he was more bloated. This is just a natural progression of his physique tbh
I would be inclined to agree, buuuuutttt he's got a fucking terrible personal trainer. Idk if you've heard that guy talk before but he doesn't even know the basic things about training for hypertrophy. Maybe he got better but he sounded like he knew absolutely nothing. Could be possible Tom didn't listen to the guy and actually did proper training so it's hard to say. Also, could've just been he got a pump and had good lightning. Actually I changed my mind, I'm like 75% sure he's natural. There's still that one trainer though...
To be fair though I looked the same for years until I started counting calories because I have trouble eating enough like I'd imagine Holland does too. Plus with a trainer, probably proper supplementation with creatine or what have you, I think it's a realistic transformation assuming he wasn't doing those things before
He looks natural, the biggest difference is his chest, which he probably saw as his weak point and change a bit in his training to try and target it more. Don't forget the old the lighting and pump too.
Anyone who knows tom holland knows the dude has always had an atheltic and active lifestyle, he's definetly natural its totally attainable, he's probably started doing actual strenght training hence this slight mass he's put on, nothing crazy here.
not to say he’s natural now or even before, but his first couple roles as spider-man he is still playing a young teenage spider-man which is why i assume they didn’t have him beef up, as the role progresses more into the adult age of spider-man is when they would want him bigger so i think that was actually on purpose
I really hope not I don't like the mcu spiderman but spiderman as a character never needed to look like thor or captain america he represents the average Joe's and nerds so I doubt they're going to have him yolk up

Why are people even questioning this. He is literally paid millions to work out and look fit. Anyone could achieve this if you were literally paid just to look good.
@@philosophyandhappiness2001 Doesn't matter he's playing young spider man, he's not supposed to look "big/muscular" at least not until the character progresses more.
I am in love with this vernacular the way he slips peeled out of his tree, deezed, shripped, diced to the fucking socks, slicey right after saying something super smart just makes my day.
People underestimate just how big of a difference 1-5lbs of muscle makes aesthetically. To see a visible difference you don’t have to put on that much lean mass. That’s why it’s so absurd to hear celebrity trainers say that their client built 25lbs of muscle in 6 months. If that were true then they wouldn’t even look like the same human. They’d be ready to step on a bodybuilding stage😂
I think he's natural. Before he was representing a teenage spider man. Looking athletic was the best look. Because he is a bit older now a bit more muscular is a better look. If he changed his training schedule to be more bodybuilding based its defenitely attainable.
Yeah, facts. I'm 17 been working out for a couple of months now and I’ve made substantial progress but I've always been lean and still am so it's not too far of a stretch to say I have similar physic to Tom when he first started. I've tried eating more but I never seem to put on more than a couple of kilos so hearing Derek talk about Tom being diced all year round makes me feel absolutely wild
Im calling natty. He’s been a gymnast and dancer since he was a kid if i remember correctly so he definitely has that base. The before and after pics just look like he lost some fat and had better lighting. MAYBE he put on a pound or two of contractile tissue but we don’t really know if he’s focused on hypertrophy in the past. Id give the benefit of the doubt for now but looking at his height and skeletal structure, he looks pretty maxed out on his natural gains. Definitely sauced if he gets bigger. Id believe you if you said he just went on a small cycle of ostarine and clen to optimize his cut.
I've been working out for 15 years and I can definitely say my body at 20 vs 25 was at least a 20-25lb difference in muscle. 180 ripped as Holland to 205-210 almost as ripped. Age was definitely a factor with that. A body of a 20 year old is NOT the same as a 25 year old. At 30 I sit at the low 230's natural. I'm claiming natural.
What the hell is wrong with you man? He literally went from being a 19 year old kid to 25 year old. “I’ve never seen him do this.” Have you been stalking him for years? This is your WORST TAKE EVER. This is completely achievable with normal genetics.
If Tom is natural it's fairly believable. His body at 16 looked really good. It makes sense that he would be getting naturally more jacked throughout the years. He's fairly young and probably hasn't reached his genetic limit yet if natural. He's likely getting close but he could probably naturally gain at least 5-10lbs of muscle over the next few years.
He’s also a gymnast and ballet dancer. The kid has had abs his whole life, and he was advised to keep lean since he was playing a high schooler in the other avengers movies. Now he’s finally being allowed to bulk up!!
He has one of those physiques where he could be completely natural or on something and we could go back and fourth but being around Duffy automatically makes me think PEDs no doubt

I think he's natural, he has great genetics for lean body composition. If I remember correctly, he's a gymnastics guy, so now probably he's focusing more for look in the gym than athletics like a bodybuilder
He was an 18 or 19 year old playing a 16 year old. Now he’s 24 playing a 19-20 year old. My pleb mind things this is fairly congruent with being natural. If he’s switching between roles and the harsh demand on his body traveling... now he’s had 1-1.5 years of minimal travel maximum effort I’d think he could pack on a few more lbs lean.
Tom honestly looks like he might’ve added 5-7lbs of muscle in the time span of 3 or 4 months. Not unexpected considering how much of an athletic stud he is
Honestly he's pretty cut so any amount of muscle is gonna be big on him. He's also 5'8". Seems like something he can totally do with a chef and trainer inside 12 months. But I totally understand ur point being why now, why he would leave extra mass on the table etc etc. New trainer, new nutritionist more information, more gains, etc.
I agree with most of what you said but at the end when you say "why would he leave extra mass on the table?" isn't it obvious he has been playing a lean superhero who is like 15-16 of course they wouldn't want him to be big. Now spiderman in the new movie will be like 17-18 they probs have told him to gain more muscle for a more mature look. Until now he had mainly done gymnastics, aerobics and calesthenics, by lifting heavy and working with some free weights and probably eating better I think the muscle gain is to be expected
@@ThunderGoatz yeah I think Derek saw the trainer and made up his mind on this one. Hes been putting out a tonne of vids recently probs just hasn't been doing as much research.
Another possibility is that he has been playing Spiderman as a high school kid, so he has been trying to look like a kid. Now that he's playing Spiderman as a college student who is a little more mature, maybe he's just training for more size for the first time. 🤷♂️
What kind of losers occupy this channel? He's 24 years old and lean. He probably put on about 10lbs of muscle and that's it. He's in the best age and has every duck in a row to get natty ripped. There are kids in my jiu jitsu school that are more ripped him, If Tom's on anything but food, I"ll eat my hat.
As he gets older he’s only going to develop more muscle. I had a very hard time putting on muscle in my early twenties. Mid twenties muscle just packed on easier.
I’m his height My biggest has been 170 I feel so much bigger than him. Maybe a little more body fat but definitely I have a wider frame. He looked 140 or so on most his movies
I think he’s natty because most gymnasts need good upper body strength and he’s an amazing gymnast + he has good genetics because he’s always been jacked and his family also shows a lot of muscles
I think this is highly achievable. I worked out all through highschool, then went into the Marine Corps. Got used to eating more, and working out with heavier weights and gained 35lbs compared to when I was 17-18. I looked very similar to Tom Holland when I was his age.
many guys like myself continued to develop 20-24. I would work out on and off and sometimes i'd be able to take months off, come back to the gym, and be able to rep out my 1rm that I had prior.
@@professorfinessor5363 I'm 38 now, wish it still worked like that for me. Now it seems like taking a month off is the equivalent of getting the flu lol.
Yea I'm not saying he couldn't have done in naturally in a longer period of time but like considering the short period of time it took him to gain this mass...
It’s the rapid gain that they are claiming that makes it suspicious. Maybe they’re misstating things. 20 pounds in 6 months is ridiculous especially as Holland well past puberty
dude he’s natural😭 it’s just diet, change in training routine, and bulk with crazy lighting. It would also put a dent in his reputation and from the first spider-man he was 19, now he is 25. Teenage skinny muscle-> Peak man muscle. bottom line he’s natural.
I have seen this type of physique in a footballer in our college, leaner than me, wider back than me, better abs than me, but overall i was stronger and bigger than him, Tom Holland reminds me of that guy and we were just 17-18 at that time, so yes ,he is definitely natural
I’ve seen a lot of interviews where he talks abt his workout and diet for the past Spider-Man movies and they’re not all that strict, I don’t think he was really pushing it for either of those. You’re much smarter abt this stuff obviously but I’m pretty sure this is natty
I have to disagree with this one to be honest Derek. I’m no expert but I’ve watched enough of these videos to have an opinion I feel. I noticed that when you looked at his transformation, you stopped at his physique in Spider-Man Homecoming, which yeah was released in 2017, but he actually shot it in 2016. You said yourself he looks like he’s only put on around 5 lbs of muscle between these photos yet you say that it’s suspicious in such a short amount of time. Between shooting Homecoming in Summer 2016, and his final day of shooting No Way Home last week, it’s an almost 5 year time period, so it isn’t really a suspiciously short time period for him to have put on that weight is it? Also if you look at his physique in Far From Home (Spider-Man Homecoming 2) it’s definitely bigger/ bulkier than the shot of him from Homecoming. You did briefly have an image of it up on Google Images at the start but without taking into account when it was from. That film came out 2019 and was shot in 2018, so 2 years after the Homecoming photo, and it defiantly looks like steady progression between the 3 physiques. He talked in interviews for Far From Home how he tried to get bigger and was eating a lot to bulk, but that he felt like he got too big, and when you look at the physique it’s a little softer in that movie. It’s still lean sure, but not as much as in Homecoming or from the looks of it, No Way Home. Also as other commenters have pointed out, he’s playing a teenager, so although yes Tom was 19 in Civil War and 20 whilst filming Homecoming, he’s playing a 15 y/o, where as in the new movie, he’s most likely approaching 17 if not 18 years old. He wanted to look fit in the first movie sure, but there was no need, in fact Marvel had most likely requested that he not get big. I feel like for the next films he bulked up, but maybe gained too much body fat for his liking, and then for both this movie and Uncharted which he filmed before Spidey 3 No Way Home, he’d decided to do more of a lean bulk. If you take all of this into account it just doesn’t seem like a quick progression out of nowhere, but a lot more steady and gradual over 5 years than your video makes it out to be. Also if you look at some of the videos he posted in lockdown such as the handstand t shirt challenge, again you can see his physique slowly progressing over the years backing up my argument. Also that photo you showed from Chaos Walking, although that movie was only released a few weeks ago, it was shot in 2017 so between Homecoming and Far From Home, with reshoots not happening until 2019, so it isn’t really a good indication of a more recent physique due to everything that happened with the production of that movie, it’s an old photo basically. TLDR there’s almost 5 years between the Homecoming photo and the Last day of shooting photo.
I went through Google images and saw plenty of images between the first movie and the last. Again, could he be natural. For sure. My hunch was just a bit of Var (or similar). For some reason people think a bit of Var somehow = a 500 mg Test cycle
The one thing you forgot to talk about was the fact that he was likely on a pump for that picture whereas it wasn't during the movie shots and that would make him look 5-10 pounds heavier than he is static
Not gonna pass judgment, as i know way too little about the subject. But i look about the same, while sitting down most of the day and hardly working out, and eating like a trucker. Metabolism/genes alone can make you look like that, i'm living proof.
Honestly Tom put on maybe 10lbs? He looks great, but I don't see an issue, tons of guys can achieve this. I honestly looked more impressive within a year of natty training.
These 'natty or nots' are getting stupid and the majority of them are sounding the same. He doesn't even look that big in the ONE recent picture you based that off. And you can't be sure of that timeline either as your just basing it off what pictures your can find online, so saying that he 'randomly' put on all that size is stupid imo. That physique is also super achievable and he's staying lean most of the time, or at least letting people see the times that he is lean (which makes muscles appear bigger).

Those guys are shreded from the age of 12 till they stop practising and even a few years after. The guy is 5'8 and small.
I actually think it could be natural,
As a gymnast (his background) he could just have changed his regiment to heavy weights instead of unweighted body exercise.
Yup, simply looks like the kid has taken control of his diet and has gone heavy on compound lifts. This isn’t crazy at all...

He’s older he’s been lifting the whole time of course he’s going to get bigger he’s natural

I believe he’s natty
If Tom is natural it's fairly believable. His body at 16 looked really good. It makes sense that he would be getting naturally more jacked throughout the years. He's fairly young and probably hasn't reached his genetic limit yet if natural. He's likely getting close but he could probably naturally gain at least 5-10lbs of muscle over the next few years.
But we dont know keep in mind it is hollywood after all, they have roid heads walking everywhere
He’s also a gymnast and ballet dancer. The kid has had abs his whole life, and he was advised to keep lean since he was playing a high schooler in the other avengers movies. Now he’s finally being allowed to bulk up!!

But I totally understand ur point being why now, why he would leave extra mass on the table etc etc. New trainer, new nutritionist more information, more gains, etc.
I agree. Maybe he finally started putting in some actual work.

The guy is a dancer, not a lifter. So that would be a pretty reasonable guess.
