      People don’t… Like there’s always some people who believe weird things like the earth is flat. But most people don’t know anything about this topic anyways. So it’s not unreasonable for them to not know about drug use in sports, what’s possible natural and or about his trainer not being able to keep up……. I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m so fascinated by Derek’s videos and why I watch them religiously even though I’m not that into bodybuilding. I think I just really admire how Derek is never afraid to call bullshit on anything but, at the same time, able to be so calm and disarming while doing it by always backing up everything he says with fair reasoning and super solid research. It’s a really rare trait to come by nowadays with how biased and polarizing everyone is about everything. It’s really refreshing to witness honestly -I think everyone should take a page out of Derek’s book. I’ve also unintentionally learned so much about health and fitness in the process. Thank you for your contribution to the world, Derek. All the power to you 💪🏼

If it's not partially digital, he must have cycled something much more serious in a much larger quantity. I was a cutter for Hugo Boss & I fit Chris for a fragrance campaign just after he filmed ragnarok. He was cut & clearly sauced but he wasn’t really that big (44 chest 32 waist, 18in arm), but he is insanely proportionate. Meaning he doesn’t fluctuate, his proportions make him look massive on screen.
    I’m sure he does fluctuate a little bit point being w his frame & proportions, he looks massive on screen where other guys are bigger but don’t look like it.
    I fit Edgar Ramirez around that same time (early 2017) & he was actually bigger. But edgars frame makes him look like a chonk whereas Chris’ Frame accentuates the v, shoulders, etc.
    Same with they always make Tom hardy look big on screen whereas in real life he’s like 5’8 170
    All that said, Chris is sauced to the fuggin gills, but it looks even more ridiculous cause he has the frame that accentuates it.

      I’m 41….I’ve always been able to “get jacked” whenever I started to hit weights heavy, for the last 10 years tho I was on a running kick- I literally ran every day (aside from 93 days in total) for 10 years straight averaging 3.5 miles per day over that span. I still did some weight lifting too but after I hit that 10 year mark & turned 40 I told myself I’d go back to hitting weights hard- I still run but I do BJJ, heavy bag, exercise bike more now for cardio. When I stopped running so much I was 148 lbs & 5’8, I’m now 159 lbs & about 8% body fat, I can bench 225x6, squat 315x5, 275x10, 6 pack & obliques show, do I look like I’m on roids? I don’t think so at all, but to the average 41 year old slobs I see picking their kids up @ daycare? Maybe I do. Lots of hard work & discipline + good diet & you’d be surprised what you can achieve.

    I think there is an element of grace we should have for people who have no idea of realistic fitness standards in regards to obviously juiced and geared physiques
    I remember literally asking my brother 3-4 years ago if The Rock was on roids...I thought if you worked out for as long as he had its attainable...since then I've come a long way...

      There is a bit of CGI possibly, he is buff but not that buff. They CG his arms up a bit in other films, so why wouldn't they do it here as well, it's not real.

    The stigma of steroids can only be broken through education.

    • @jamesbrandon8570
      @jamesbrandon8570 2 роки тому +16

      There’s nothing to “break” when you have a shit ton of people dropping dead young from taking p.e.ds . Nobody really JUST takes roids…you have to take other shit to counteract subsequent issues from the steroids alone.the vast majority of roid users use it as a short cut and if they are looking for shortcuts I doubt they have the commitment/money etc to be as meticulous as you’d have to be to maintain “health” while on gear.even Derek got off gear…so yea there needs to be a stigma.if you don’t have it genetically…you just don’t have it
