Absolute legend Toby, I've learnt sooo much about modeling just from watching you and the mind-blowing contestants here and all the content on your website during my journey to learn CAD in the hope I can get a job around it one day. What a service you are providing. Can't thank you enough.
You are total gem! 💎 12:38 - In the past i was forced to redo my entire model just because i can't select a face inside the model, and didn't know nothing about "Select other" mode! Thanks a lot! For Mac users with the newer keyboards: ~`key, which is needed to select some face through the other face, is no longer near !1 It's now located between the left Shift and Z keys.
Still a noob here. I'm thinking you saved the final cut-extrude to the end because you wanted to make sure you cut away any part of the triangle-shaped pieces that hold the horizontal tube that might otherwise have protruded into the center slot region. Is that right?
Hey Ken! Welcome to the community- yes you are exactly correct - if you leave the inside "solid" until the very end of the model, you get some latitude to create "overlapping features" which run right to the center of the model. This is often helpful because you can create relationships directly to the origin. Then, at the end, you can cut everything away. Great observation and you are totally on the right path!
Really enjoy the live solves, thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them! Thanks
Thank you, thank you, thank you 🍻. Hoping to reach the worlds at some point, with all the credit to you. Thanks brotha.
