USMC 64--68. October 1965. 21 years old and fighting somewhere in the Vietnam Jungle. I still have this 45, and still love to listen to it. Brings back so many memories of friends who I tried to keep in touch with, but because we all moved around so much over the many years across this world that we lost base with each other. I remember owning and wearing a Cher pants outfit that was red and white checkered with lace on the sleeves and pants legs.
Baby Don't Go is just as good a sonny & cher anthem as I Got You Babe or Little Things. Sonny had such a hard time fighting the british invasion product then, and getting their records recorded/released/and promoted for deserved U.S. chart success
The Rolling Stones told Sonny & Cher to go to the UK. They weren't allowed in the Hilton Hotel by the way they were dressed.Thanks to the publicity it made the papers. They became very popular over there When they returned to the US their records began to soar
