I Packrafted Alone from Argentina to Chile… Here’s What Happened
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 чер 2024
- Join me on an epic adventure as I tackle the rugged wilderness of Patagonia alone. Over six days, I'll cover 150km through pack-rafting and wild camping, starting from Lago Puelo in Argentina and aiming to reach the Pacific Ocean on Chile’s west coast.
This journey will challenge my resilience, with over 90km of paddling across pristine lakes and battling against headwinds that slow progress to a crawl. I'll navigate pulse-pounding Class III rapids that threaten to capsize my raft and make long portages to bypass treacherous Class V canyons in some of the most remote and inaccessible terrains.
But it's not all about the adrenaline. The trip also promises serene moments in dream camping spots surrounded by magnificent landscapes - from towering waterfalls and massive cliffs to the crystal-clear waters of glacial melts. Plus, there’s the chance to fish for pristine rainbow trout and fully immerse in the overwhelming beauty of nature.
Watch as I paddle, hike, and improvise through this thrilling adventure. Follow along and experience the full immersion into the heart of Patagonia.
Here we go, boys and girls. Join the adventure!
WARNING: I underestimated the risks of this expedition and failed in some safety measures (such as taking a helmet!). The river levels were also higher than planned and the rapids were more dangerous than anticipated. Recirculating water can be extremely dangerous and drowning is a real possibility. Going alone and/or into remote and hard-to-access areas makes it even more dangerous and external rescue may not always be possible. Please ensure you do your own research on any adventures and prepare accordingly. You are responsible for your own life and risks taken. I accept no responsibility for any actions taken by any individual watching this video and/or deciding to do this or something similar.

What a great adventure. Thanks for taking all the time to film it for us. It was very interesting to watch 😊😊😊
Thanks my man! I appreciate that!!
I realized I’ve seen this adventure a couple months back, but had to watch it again, just breathtaking! Can’t believe you don’t have a million subscribers, great job filming with the camera angles and the drone! Nice work Eze! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you SOO much my friend!! Appreciate the kind words!
This was incredible Eze!
The editing, the calmness, how connected and respectful to mother nature you are.
The cold exposure, the berries and plant awareness....
No ego, we go!
Hey thanks a lot my friend!! Really kind words which are greatly appreciated!!
@@EzeAdventurer You've became my favourite adventurer to watch.
Yukon is next on my watchlist 🏞️
@@thejourneytoasimplelife That's so awesome to hear !! Thank you! Yukon was perhaps my favourite ever adventure yet!
God took his time creating this beautiful place! God bless all your adventures, bring you home to your family every time 🙏🏼
AMEN. Thank you that's a wonderful blessing. Straight into God's ears please.
Breathtaking! Thank you for bringing us along! Our world is magical.
Indeed it is!! Truly a wonder of the universe, beautiful planet earth. Who knows how far away the next "Earth" may be?!
Dude you are absolutely killing it with these adventures!! They just get better and better, excellent work filming them.
Thanks so much!! Really appreciate it!
This was an amazing video. The photography was phenomenal. It was also interesting in history. Thank you so very much for taking us along.
Thank you very much! Glad you liked the little history / culture bit!
Amazing video. I think you’re my new favourite adventurer to watch. Loved every minute
Yay! Thank you!!!
I finally got around to watching this trip. What a great adventure mate. The landscape and river reminded me a lot of my New Zealand trip earlier this year. I’ll have to add this to my list. It’s amazing how much water is moving in a river like this. Even the small rapids have so much power to them and it’s so easy to get stuck in the recirculating water as you did. It’s a good reminder to always respect the river as she will always have the last say. Cheers for a great vid mate.
Scotty! Thanks my man! I definitely see similarities between Patagonia and new Zealand! maybe millions of years ago they weren't too far apart? who knows!
Totally echo what you said about the river having the last say, and a good humbling dose... "you don't get what you want, you get what you need".
If you ever go for Patagonia, I'll be there to assist you as best I can. Oz still on my list so maybe one day we'll paddle together :-) off to Wabakimi tomorrow, be off grid for 2 weeks but will catch you later bud!
Your journey is incredible my brother, keep adventuring and conquering that expansiveness in us that yearns for awe.
thanks so much brother!!

Thanks my man!! sending much love
Funny, the moment you got to that grassy campsite I had the same thought about the water rising! I love how you think about mitigating risks, which you have to do in every moment when you are on a solo trip.
Thanks so much!! Definitely a big part of it is risk mitigation!! Appreciate the kind comment!
You sir are a hero-respect from stoke on Trent UK 🇬🇧
Thanks my man!!
Great video. The scenery is amazing!!

Totally Epic my friend 👍🇦🇺
Thanks my Ozzie friend!
Even more enjoyable in movie form eze. Was a great watch. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Maxx
Thank you max! I hate to "repeat" content, but I realised I didn't do the adventure justice in the mini series format. The excitement and continuity was getting lost.., Thanks for watching again and hope to see your canoe adventures soon!
@@EzeAdventurer o don’t worry we will be keeping u updated on your her adventures eze 🛶😃
Jolly good show !! I wish I could have done an epic ride like that. thanks

Hello 👋!! Thank you :-)
awesome adventure!! LIKE well deserved
Thanks a lot!!
Excellent well done
Thank you!!
The insects seemed mild what a great trip
Patagonia is almost bug free all year round!
I really wonder how do you plan your trips? What apps do you use to figure out the routes? Can you make a video how you plan a trip? I would really appreciate if you can.
Keep up your great work I love your content
Would love to do this sometime... appreciate the feedback!
@@EzeAdventurer I wish to go on such trips, but I’m I don’t even know where to start
great dude
Thanks dude!
2:04:29 What!!!!!Thank You❤❤❤❤its 103 heat index here at home what a cool awesome way to spend in side away from the Heat😅🎉🎉🎉 Thank You Eze🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much hope you enjoy it, stay cool!!
❤❤❤for sure
Nice❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!!
Great job thank you for sharing it with us.. Just a Q: did you film the entire trip with just Gopro?
Thanks mate! I used a GoPros hero 8, my iPhone 15 pro max and a DJI Mavis Air 2S!
@@EzeAdventurer tnx for reply. That's awesome. No DSLR camera yet you recorded nice clips. It means I don't need to spend lots of money on fancy cameras and lenses. 🙏♥️
Is this new or a full versus of your earlier trip in the area that was cut into sections?
Full version buddy not new. really wanted to post the entire adventure uninterrupted in one video!
@@EzeAdventurer I've seen the others twice.. watching them as one piece as a great. I figured it out with the cold coffee... s/bad memory.... thanks pal
very good
So kind!
Wow trip of a life time how could I get more info on doing it
Maps, talk to local guides, this trip hasn't been documented much so HIGH level of caution recommended!!
Always asked to add a comment so here you go. Comment 😮
😂 thank you!
Is this the same video you released a couple of months ago?
100% it is
Yes it's a movie format, entire adventure in one video
yep
What time of year did you do this?
End of March / early April
Any small groups that do this? Any knowledge as to how to meet with such people would be greatly appreciated
I'm not sure about this... this route I kinda made up.. there were bits already done and documented but nothing covering the entire route. It's remote, and water levels a little dicy for most to take on... would be safer in a group for sure.
Dejavu 😮
I know sorry! I had to release this adventure as a movie, uninterrupted!
@EzeAdventurer don't be sorry 😎still tuned to it all cracking thanks for taking us 👍 🏴
is it re-run video?
Yes sorry mate, I wanted to share the adventure uninterrupted in a movie format!
Like... very much
Thank you very much
Love the vids eze longer version means more swearing haha beautiful locations and I hate portarges aswell even watching makes me tired
hahaha oopppsyyy!! Portages are bitter sweet, I'm kinda liking them now lol!
