    Great review I have had mine since August been to France Spain and the Pyrenees and done 3000miles on the road , 1000miles off road trail riding. 130km on the motorways of France fully loaded and this bike can do everything. It is also reliable unlike a few on the marked to sum it up it is awesome . Great review Mick

    I just took a 700 out today, agree, non peaked, race helmet I had no buffet at any head height with the raid seat on motorway. Very nice bike, the Euro5 Akrapovic can is too quiet as a factory option and needs one with a tad more braaap. Fires out of bends well and the twin front rotors give good strong brake feedback. The rattly excessive sideplay on the throttle grip nagged me, needed shimming, as with most modern bikes and the sticky outy cover on the engine clutch cover pushes your boot sometimes if moving foot position. Had one on demo for an hour, very impressed

    I'm excited to see this bike in 2020 here in the United States. Don't know if I'm ready to give up my 2006 Suzuki Dr650 yet. It has all the tricks and whistles that I need now. After market pipe, header, racing carb, heavier suspension, steering stabilizer, handlebar and guards, beefy skid plate, windshield, front plastic fender, lights and comfy seat.
    Thanks for the owner point of view video.

    Like the idea of skateboard wheels for axis protection :). You got one subscriber more. Tomorrow I wanna ride the T700 :).
    For me the most effective way to reduce the windscreen noise is a spoiler from MRA. And they send you a test version, if you like it after a ride, you can buy it for less money, this customer support! Are the T700 rims are able for tubeless? Why has an offroad bike tubes? Is there any advantage to this? Normally the way to go is mousse or Tyre milk inside a tubeless Tyre...

    • @Max-dj5qj
      @Max-dj5qj 4 роки тому

      So today I rode the T700. Amazing bike and quality. Engine got suberp elasticity... 6 gear from 2000 up no problem at all. Sounds nice in euro 4 stock exhaust, brakes are more than expected. Pirellis grip fine and comfortable. Bike handles until 100kmh pretty agile, on more speed you register the big front wheel... But that's the compromise. Suspension was pretty plush and adjusted in the middle, so there is a big range for setup with Sozia etc. Gearing is pretty short, could be longer. Before the test I expected a pretty loud windshield on the highway and that's the only bigger disappointment, it is pretty loud from 100+. So for my size (1.85) it's absolutely necessary to modify it. And the seating and standing position was super nice :).

    I like it and almost certain I am buying one. I have not found one review yet that has complained about it. I've seen this on hard core trails keep up with dirt bikes, I was shocked at the rider and what this thing can actually do. It's light and narrow and a perfect size to take anywhere.

    The only real complaint that owners in the UK are gripeing about is the spokes are starting to show some levels of corrosion! Thats It! • @RegularJon
      @RegularJon  4 роки тому +1

      I don't have any issues with the fueling in the lower rev range, once in every 100 times it would stall but I'm putting that down to me not being used to it, I've out a K&N air filter in and it's even more responsive now!

  • @whitedrguy6503
    @whitedrguy6503 4 роки тому +4

    Nice review, but sadly you have the same complaint as to what seems to be every person that goes from a road bike back ground to a more off road bike, tube tyres.
    Tubes are there for a few good reasons mainly if you dent the rim, if you dent the rim on a tubeless type you are pretty much screwed where on a tube type it will not even be noticed until you see it.
    On a heavy bike the rims can take a hell of a pounding on rocks potholes and the like, I have even dented rims on a 100kg dirt bike, last thing you want in the middle of nowhere is a flat like that.
    One of the reasons why Rally racers use a moose in place of tubes is you get the best of both worlds, just a pity they do not last long.
    Big tip, learn to fix a flat, it is not that hard with a bit of practice, and you always carry a small compressor or a pump anyway on a dual sport bike, helps when inflating the tyres from off road to on road.
    👍👍👍👍

    I currently have an FJ-09, with the CP3 Motor; I have heard the CP2 that is used in the T7, is torquey and sprockets used in it give a bit more strength. It's not too bad on fuel, I don't ride around with the average consumption meter on however as I'm not interested in that, I get around 200 miles of range out of the tank regardless of how I ride it on and off road. It does absolutely anything you can throw at it apart from backflips and anything you'd normally need a boat for.

      @@RegularJon oh don’t get me wrong, I can climb on a KTM1290 just fine. It takes some technique but it’s doable. And ride all day long on a car park. The problem is these are nothing like real riding conditions. The first slope you have to stop on and you’re literally screwed. God forbid you have to quickly stop when filtering in traffic and you don’t land just right - there goes your insurance premium. Also possibly black eye from angry mob of car drivers. And off-road? The first rock you will inevitably be unfortunate to stop on at slow trail and there goes your joy and pride, down on the gravel. Because of high center of gravity, with shorter leg it tilts more thus pulls/push you harder before you get stable footing to support said weight. British made CCM GP450 ADVENTURE was GREAT for us shorties but they don’t make them anymore due to constantly tightening emission limits...

Definitely too tall(35") but manageable. wet weight of the f800gs(not adventure.. that's 50+lbs) and the T700 are nearly identical as well so honestly both bikes are probably pretty dang similar offroad. I'm 5'7'', I can understand how you feel. We got no choice but to learn techniques to balance the bike in tricky situations. We are going to drop it eventually, more than once.
