I'm a computer science student who mostly codes in Java and I can confidently say that the zooming bug that happened at 13:00 was caused by a demon. Hope this helps :)
I have more than 20 years experience in computer software development in a wide variety of languages (Java, Delphi, C, SQL, PHP...) and environments (web, desktop, embedded...) and I completely agree: it was a demon (not a daemon).
I like that Mumbo was getting extremely into and incredible at building and then suddenly once he was finished he just cleared out a nice big ugly chunk of mountain and started filling it with redstone and it looks like he’s going to be sticking with that for awhile, and as much as I loved Mumbo’s building, I am so loving him being back to lots of redstone

I think that the zooming was the 'camera utils' mod, you can ask grian - he discovered that it was installed a while ago. You can press a key combination to gradually zoom in (very dramatically)
I've checked multiple places in the video, counting from multiple angles. You have 22 furnaces, Mumbo. You removed the end (16th) furnace from the initial line to put a solid block and have the line turn, but then you still counted that initial line as 16 furnaces when placing the other 7.

I've definitely been enjoying the building, but my favorite Mumbo videos are always the crazy redstone contraptions. Seeing it go from just a concept to everything working together flawlessly is just the most satisfying thing ever. (I'm also a huge fan of self-sustaining, automatic machines, so this episode was even more of a treat for me)
I think it’d be really cool to incorporate sound designs into the base like you did with the iron shop! Stuff like lab goo making popping sounds or the lab making random generator sounds or something!

Hey Mumbo 2 quick tips. 1- It's not necesary to craft smokers with bark blocks, normal wood logs work as well 2- If you change the set up of the water on your sugar cane farm, you could plant por sugar in the same space, using less water. I dont know how to explain the set up, but in stead of usisng stripes, you should put a 2X2 square of sand, Now, looking from the square to each side, in the left/right side (it doesn`t matter which one, but in each of the 4 sides the same). Hi mumbo, since the signs in your kelp farm work as entities they may add a tiny bit to server lag, you could also use open fence gates to do the same thing without any lag

Great hack for compact vertical kelp farms: you can plant kelp on waterlogged scaffolding, which the kelp items will float up through. MinetheFab has a phenomenal compact design that utilizes this.

I understand it's reasonably subjective, but as someone who's watched mumbo for a long time, his builds have ranged from decent (seasons 5, 7-8) to downright awful (season 4) in terms of looks. he's shown significant improvement in building this season, and other hermits known for their building skills like grian and bdubs have gone out of their way to compliment how great his base looks and how much he's improved. he has never been a good builder, and has admitted that himself many times.
When you recognize a contraption because you remember watching him create it 😃... And then realize how much time has gone by because you notice how far away it is, and how many newer contraptions there are surrounding it 😢
I love all the details like he names all the experiments in the Database in the camelCase which is a writing style that joins words together without spaces or punctuation, with each word capitalized except for the first. Love the small details ❤
You can actually see at 5:37 that he really did mean bark (ie wood) blocks, as in with the bark on all sides, to make the smokers for some reason. Never change, Mumbo
Knowing that the sum of time is equal to L8=R, in other words t+i+m+e=L8=R. We can convert this to t+i+m+e=128... I don't think there's enough information to find the sum of time, but L=16! However later in the video at 16:40 Mumbo gives us a plot twist! R apparently is also equal to 16! This means there must be a third equation we are missing to solve for R that involves a square root of some kind. We need answers Mumbo!
I do wonder if that is a typo, and Mumbo meant to write that L is equal to 16, not R, in case people hadn't solved it by then. I think that's the most obvious answer. Also, out of curiosity, why would a third equation lead to a solution of R involving square roots? The equations are inconsistent, so an additional one wouldn't yield a solution for R. Unless you treat R as a multivalued variable, but that's a bit much for a throwaway gag in a minecraft video. I also don't think the phrase "sum time" is actually relevant to the other equations. In the whole card it writes SUM TIME: L8 = R and the colon implies these are separate clauses, so I don't think he's trying to say T+I+M+E=L8=R, but rather it's another math related play on words.
Love what you've been doing this season: I'm not a usual viewer because nothing makes my brain feel smoother than redstone, but your builds have been so fun and lively that you've got me invested in you now. (Definitely not complaining, your voice and personality are great)
Mumbo being one of the smartest, and sometimes most clueless, creators who is absolutely an expert in his field but sometimes feels like they're fumbling around is still one of the more satisfying elements to watching Mumbo work.
Just a small suggestion for the emergency line. Have the hopper minecart load into another hopper minecart and into the chest. That way it unloads as quick as possible increasing efficiency further.
Mumbo’s style has really changed and it’s great. His builds now look like they have thought behind them instead of just a big mega structure, and his red stone has always been fantastic, really can’t wait for the factory to be built! That will be like a perfect mix of mumbos redstone and building ability
Yay, a super smelter with a customized Mumbo-style Item distribution system that I really love and take inspiration. You really are my most favorite redstoner in all of Minecraft. As compact and efficient as possible while making the use of limited space. Hope it doesn't break when you suddenly forget to inspect your super smelter and goes on full blown crazy mode lol.
Every time I watch a Mumbo video, I feel like I’m getting a better grasp on redstone. But then he does something like, throwing a cauldron into his redstone, and I realize how massive an iceberg redstone really is

Mumbo makes giant bamboo farm to create sticks to run smelters. Then decides to use dry kelp to make dried kelp. Perfect Mumbo logic, love it.

Hi mumbo, since the signs in your kelp farm work as entities they may add a tiny bit to server lag, you could also use open fence gates to do the same thing without any lag

Great hack for compact vertical kelp farms: you can plant kelp on waterlogged scaffolding, which the kelp items will float up through. MinetheFab has a phenomenal compact design that utilizes this.

I understand it's reasonably subjective, but as someone who's watched mumbo for a long time, his builds have ranged from decent (seasons 5, 7-8) to downright awful (season 4) in terms of looks. he's shown significant improvement in building this season, and other hermits known for their building skills like grian and bdubs have gone out of their way to compliment how great his base looks and how much he's improved. he has never been a good builder, and has admitted that himself many times.

Knowing that the sum of time is equal to L8=R, in other words t+i+m+e=L8=R. We can convert this to t+i+m+e=128... I don't think there's enough information to find the sum of time, but L=16! However later in the video at 16:40 Mumbo gives us a plot twist! R apparently is also equal to 16! This means there must be a third equation we are missing to solve for R that involves a square root of some kind. We need answers Mumbo!
I do wonder if that is a typo, and Mumbo meant to write that L is equal to 16, not R, in case people hadn't solved it by then. I think that's the most obvious answer. Also, out of curiosity, why would a third equation lead to a solution of R involving square roots? The equations are inconsistent, so an additional one wouldn't yield a solution for R. Unless you treat R as a multivalued variable, but that's a bit much for a throwaway gag in a minecraft video.
I also don't think the phrase "sum time" is actually relevant to the other equations. In the whole card it writes
SUM TIME:
L8 = R
and the colon implies these are separate clauses, so I don't think he's trying to say T+I+M+E=L8=R, but rather it's another math related play on words.

Mumbo being one of the smartest, and sometimes most clueless, creators who is absolutely an expert in his field but sometimes feels like they're fumbling around is still one of the more satisfying elements to watching Mumbo work.
Just a small suggestion for the emergency line. Have the hopper minecart load into another hopper minecart and into the chest. That way it unloads as quick as possible increasing efficiency further.

His builds now look like they have thought behind them instead of just a big mega structure, and his red stone has always been fantastic, really can’t wait for the factory to be built! You really are my most favorite redstoner in all of Minecraft. As compact and efficient as possible while making the use of limited space.

I fully agree that for some reason, the emergency cart redstone is hilarious and needs to have a golden circuit. It just. Makes. Sense.
