  • Under 1 hour from Denver, Argentine Pass near Georgetown Colorado in Clear Creek county is one of my favorite trails, but it took me a bit to discover the alternative route B, which is full of water crossings! This video tells you all about it including basic info about the trail, why it's worth doing, trail recommendations, and what else is in the area. For those that want to learn more, here is a trail guide on the area.
    Argentine Pass Trail Guide:
    • Argentine Pass Off-Roa...
    This is the fifth of a series of concentrated trail videos, but full length Trail Guides on these trails will be released as I get them edited. These are a new kind of video and an experiment to bring more trail info to more off-roaders. Full Trail Guides are still my priority, I am just restricted on editing time currently (filming more though!). Feedback is greatly appreciated because I just make these based on what I would want as an offroader, but I not everyone is like me so let me know!

    Hope you enjoyed this one! I’m getting close to finishing Red Cone’s Trail Guide (it’s probably going to be over 20 minutes). It may be what I upload next week or it’ll be the September 7th upload. After that, I’ll start working on Mount Blanca’s Trail Guide (probably 30-40 mins lol). As for these shorter vids, they’re evolving. I’m going to start not writing the name in the title and thumbnail as I was thinking what would I like as a subscriber, and I came up with trying to figure out the trail from thumbnail and first few clips.
    If you have any feedback improvements, let me know. I enjoy the pressure of getting one done every week with my schedule, but I hope to one day publish trail guides on a weekly schedule like this.
    Liberty Update: I’m sending money to get it rehabbed. When my parents need my help again, I’ll likely film a trail in TN with it (likely while combining it with a supplies run for them). 4WD should be fixed and the leaking windows have been fixed. My dad wanted LEDs in it so he may have bought some. Next up is ordering new tires and getting skids and rock rails. Windrock is in its future!

    Nice job as always Dewey! I love this trail too and all the water crossings. Looking forward to the Red Cone Trail Guide video! That's another one of my favorites.

      Thanks buddy! It’s a great one! Tomorrows trail you probably know too. Red cone has about 10 minutes done, but I think it’ll be the best one yet. If I don’t called to work soon, I should have the first 15-18 minutes done today and shooting for a Sept 7th release.

    I always enjoy your videos and like the b&w to color at the beginning of the video. I also loved the union shirt!!! 👍

      Thank you! I’m going to use the shorter one to experiment occasionally as producing more videos is helping me learn new skills. Also, I’m trying to get more of those shirts as I’m sucker for free shirts and they did a great job. My local union does do a lot of stuff for us, but we’re so frustrated by current work conditions that they’re not always appreciated.

    Running those routes in the fall is spectacular. Actually have to do them two times a year once when the river is the trail. Always enjoy your videos. Travel safe!

      @@coloradomallcrawlers Just ran Red Cone last Saturday; not the trail I remember from 2014! No way my farm truck would have made that. Then it rained and hailed on us just as we left the summit. That's not an impossible trail, but even the Gladiator Rubicons that ran with us struggled over the rock.

    One of the scariest roads around is Denarious road dropping down towards i70. It's worse than black bear or radical hill.

      @coloradomallcrawlers Run up McClellan Mountain to the plateau on the right and follow the trail down towards i70. It's steep in places and can be loose it's a serious shelf road. It goes to a blue cabin below. It's hairy but I plan to hit it again this year.

    Thanks! Any idea how deep Sean has been in his Trailhawk? Mine is listed at 20" before the 2" lift. Thanks again!

    • @coloradomallcrawlers
      @coloradomallcrawlers  Рік тому +1

      Sean hasn’t gone above 20in as he was trying to keep his warranty intact. He’s definitely gotten close to 20 though, but he doesn’t do as many water crossing trails as I do. Don’t quote me, but Jeep usually gives conservative numbers for water fording based on my wrangler experiences. Know where your sensitive electronics are, air intake, breather tubes are so you have a better idea of how far you can actually go (altho I play it safe and stay under what the manufacturer says).

    Did you extend your diff breather hoses?

    • @coloradomallcrawlers
      @coloradomallcrawlers  Рік тому +1

      They are above what I forded. It’s a good idea, but I’m completely stock for trail guide purposes. Good question tho!

      Good idea unless you want your diffs fluid looking like milk.

    • @coloradomallcrawlers
      @coloradomallcrawlers  Рік тому +2

      You just check your fluid, drain them and replace as needed. Jeep has made my jeep good for 30in tho and with a steady pace, you shouldn’t get any inside the tubes. At least that’s been my experience, I have yet to swamp out my axles and I took my JK into much deeper water than this.

      @comptonoverland7442 Рік тому +1

      @@coloradomallcrawlers 30 inches is ok but I've been through 4 feet of water several times and prepare for the worst. Ive got diffential breathers and they go above 4 feet. Definitely check and change the diffential fluid as those problems cost big dallors.
