    Half-elf bard > human bard. Unfortunate oversight.

      I suppose so, with the bonus to Pick-Pockets and the bonus resistance to charm and sleep. Nothing amazing but yes, technically speaking, half-elf bards are better than human bards.

      Dude, thank you so much for your amazing comments! I really appreciate them! Ideally more subscribers will come on in but considering that I started this channel in July of 2023, I'm thrilled with everyone who has joined on and is giving awesome suggestions for ways I can play based on their experiences with Baldur's Gate EE and other games.
      Again, thank you so much! Keep being awesome!

    Going through my first playthrough in 17 years, Redjoy, your videos are really helping me out.

      That's wonderful! I'm really happy that folks are giving Baldur's Gate EE another look, it was always one of those games I would come back to time and time again so I'm happy I'm not the only one! You rock, thank you for the kind comment!

    Thanks for posting your guides. I've watched a number of them now, and anticipate that I'll review them if/when I decide to play a different class. Very helpful information.
    I will say, though, that it would be good to turn the music down in your videos, as it gets to be a bit much, and can sometimes overpower your commentary.

      Yeah, apologies for the music. I just figured that folks would get annoyed hearing the same BG Character Creation Music over and over again for these kit videos. But I'm happy you enjoyed it and I'll aim to edit the videos better!

      Noted, I think I have the audio figured out after this point so this shouldn't be an issue.

    Dwarven Defender is the ultimate tank. Can fight toe-to-toe with Sarevok with over 100 hp and defensive stance activated.

    I appreciate this video, gives me a much more perspective on the game as in which race and class to pick and do well in late game. Currently I'm using a dwarf berserker lvl 2 amazing DMG output very tanky, but watching recent videos of yours especially the paladin starter guide kinda gets me leaning to give them another try rather then base myself on other people's in take on builds. Now I plan on playing a trilogy run with a paladin the kit cavalier I hear good things on that kit so just curious where it goes but overall I like your vids very good info by far from what I've watched recently from other channels.

    • @Redjoy123
      @Redjoy123  Рік тому

      Very nice! I love Berserkers and I love the Paladin kits (the Paladin is pretty good but the kits are where they really shine). Combine the Berserker with a Dwarf and you have a devastating combo that'll probably be better than Korgan since your stats may be higher overall. Doing a run as a Cavalier sounds like a lot of fun!
      Tell me, the Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod, is that allowing for characters to travel all over the Sword Coast, from Baldur's Gate to Athkatla? Or is this mod a bit different?

      @@Redjoy123 I was just talking doing the hole game walkthrough carrying my bg1 toon over to bg2 etc. Will see what I can get from a half orc barbarian doing a interesting playthrough atm. Oh I'm not using mods I mostly play it on my switch fyi

      The Dwarven Defender an the barbarian get a d12 Hit die,but obviously the dwarves defender is restricted to dwwarf. I hope you dont think I am trying to be a dick. I like all these videos. I use to watch my dad play when I was younger, and I use to play AD&D2E and no 5E (Not so much with my schedule). But I love the refresher you give me with these videos. The last time i played AD&D2E was when I was 13, 30 now, so it’s been a while

    • @Redjoy123
      @Redjoy123  Рік тому

      @@JCivils No worries! Yep, certainly true. Dwarven Defenders and Barbarians both get d12 hit point rolls and Dwarven Defenders can easily have more HP with 19 or 20 Constitution (with the Tome). Half-Orc Barbarians can also get that same Constitution with the d12 hit point rolls but trade a bit of AC for passive damage reduction. So I believe both of these class-race combos have among the highest HP in the game.
      I think both editions are great, I essentially grew up playing Baldur's Gate which is AD&D 2nd Ed. and I've enjoyed the few 5th Ed. games I've gotten to play.

    Great and interesting video
    Can you make a companion guide for all the possible companions? A new video explain the best rol, build, gear etc will be very grateful

      So I can and I certainly will... eventually.
      I'd like to make sure that I give a full experience as to how each of them plays in difficult situations. I do have my favorites (and my least favorites) but I wouldn't feel right saying "I really hate this guy/gal" if I've never really given them a good shot in a tough fight or two.
      Do you have any companions who you'd like me to really try out? I have a few that I commonly go to but I'm happy to give others a fair shot.

    Very good video love the attention to detail but please turn down the music a bit next time because it has been a bit distracting from your script at some points

    • @Redjoy123
      @Redjoy123  10 місяців тому +1

      I appreciate that, for future videos I tried to make sure that the volume levels were more leveled out to prioritize the script. I'm confident that future videos are much better volume-wise.
