Ah but we do like a good villain. I mean complex characters are nice, but sometimes when you can slap an i am just evil sticker on a character it make you want to see them defeated.
Arquebus is like Arasaka to armored core 6 as Balam is to militech, basically Arquebus is one of those classier corporations, this is my summarized lore of Arquebus
I think back to Arasaka and Militech and how’d they compare to the corporations of Armored Core. Think of their power and notoriety in the world of Cyberpunk and how they have most of the world governments between their fingertips. Compared to interstellar corporations such as Arquebus Corporation and Balam Industries with their own private armies of MTs, elite squads of ACs and certainly fleets of star faring warships, they would be mere SUBSIDIARIES and are more comparable to Dafeng and Schneider. Imagine how much more chaotic and nightmarish the world of Cyberpunk would be if those corporations had access to ACs, NEXTs and MTs. That or it would largely be the same.
It’s especially funny that despite winning the Coral War by seizing the PCA’s technology, they don’t have the time or manpower needed to control the ships, HCs and LCs. Some dialogue from Arquebus grunts have them complain about how difficult they are to pilot and how the only combat sims available to train with are when the PCA was fighting THEM. Then Raven helps initiate a second Fire in the “Fires of Raven” route, all but obliterating most of Arquebus still on the planet, helps lead a planetwide rebellion in the “Liberation of Rubicon” route and in the “Alea Iacta Est” route, ALLMIND jacks the technology as seen in “MIA” and slaughters Arquebus en masse in Depth 2, informs Raven to eliminate V.II Snail and V.III O’Keefe, not to mention creating copies of the Vespers to finish off Walter and Carla and whatever Arquebus stragglers remain. Despite coming out on top of the war for Coral, they were always doomed in the long run, one way or another.
Well if the closed system is still doing its job then getting anything or one onto the planet is going to be tough even with the hole in the system. As for the mass wipe out the issue i still all mind only wipes out the corporation forces on Rubicon, but we know the pair are off planet corporations so did the coral release wipe everything out in the galaxy or simply become another force that the two corporations and the goverment now have to deal with.
I didn't think about it until I read this comment, but the Liberator ending is a lot less "hopelessly optimistic" on the chances of the mass uprising as opposed to just a comment on how spread thin Arquebus was, and how little loyalty their forces had. The Xylem launch really did not help because it focused their forces into a slaughter ground, including some of their remaining elites. Maybe Snail should have thought more before sacrificing AC pilots to bait 621 into a trap. Even if they aren't good pilots, a decent AC is still a force to be reckoned with against most of what they would be facing on the planet.
Hahaha I love this Corp, slimey and uncaring throughout the story, reflected in its pilots to the Letter. Literally it seems since they have a mixtures if letters and a number to their call signs unlike Balam's redguns. Also the parts using mostly an energy specification gives off this arrogance that suits their character.
I hope we get a dlc (or a AC6.5) where we get more information regarding the Island Four Disturbance and the Jupiter Wars. It’ll also be cool if our character’s callsign is Lynx :)
Presumably a prequel then maybe before coral is rediscovered would be cool if our character in it is the reason why it was rediscovered like the last mission is helping branch breach the pca main base
I do not believe that 621 escaped from a reeducation center for a couple of reasons one is 621 never went through the reeducation process despite being there for quite a while, we know that the Arquebus reeducation center was not located in Institute City as it existed before Arquebus took control of Institute City, and relocating all the personnel, prisoners, and equipment to a new location would be both unnecessary and take a lot of resources that they would need for the construction of the mega structure.
I don't think they 'build' a whole re reduction center every time they have to use it. When the occupy the wall after it was taken from the RLF it is used as a reeducation center and they hold prisoners in the contaminated city . I think re education for arquebus is just corporate lingo anyways and is open to interpretation
@@OleNesie Reeducation is very obviously some form of torture there really isn't much open to interpretation to it. The people who get sent are prisoners which need the facilities to hold them and because they want to break these people into working for Arquebus they also need to bring in specialists to oversee the reeducation as well as the prison guards. A reeducation center it isn't always built from scratch as the wall most definitely already had facilities to hold the prisoners but for Institute city it is different as it is an abandoned ruin so they would definitely need to do repairs and renovations for whatever building they use if they use a preexisting building. One more thing I have no idea where you got this idea that Arquebus holds prisoners in the contaminated city as it isn't mentioned anywhere that I remember that Arquebus has prisoners there and in the prisoner rescue mission 621 rescues RLF prisoners from the contaminated city that are being detained by Balam.
it would be nice seeing the major corps own inhouse mt forces at some point allthough the baws mts and tetrapods are nice looking (and it wouldnt be too far fetched to say they made the other common turrets and machines) it feels funny seeing the 2 major corprate factions (and the rlf too) having their entire militaries composed of 3rd party machines (well rlf makes sense as they are a resistance group and the dosers do throw in their own creations too) at least arquebus starts showing off some in house modifacations of stolen pca tech balem doesnt have a single inhouse thing not counting the redguns
True i mean the older games had this with the mts being made by the corps and if these two are galaxy wide corporations there must be some space for an mt factory somewhere. That being said i think the closure system is the games way of saying. Getting force here would be tough instead buy a corp mts that is already planet side and avoid the death rays.
The only weapon design i dont like from them is that spread laser "cannon". Which is basically is a laser shotgun that was hapazardly bolted on to a sling ACV styled.
Arquebus in the Alea Iacta Est might have fallen as Snail failed to retrieve HAL 826 and SOL 644 (which was snatch and modified by ALLMIND), and possibly be taken out by Walter in a chapter 'Regain Control of Xylem'

We know all the vespers are killed and then thier ac used like puppets i just don't know how far the damage was done to a corporation who i believe is bigger then what they had on Rubicon. Then again the coral release is still an event we don't know full what it did so it really could have been the end of all humanity.
Aw, I was hoping you would talk about the remodeled PCA tech, on how this made them the leading company in the coral war. For example, there is an HC that uses a plasma canon/rifle and a pulse shield that can turne into a pulse lance not unlike Arquebus Laser Lance. Another example, was the remodeled PCA Warship where they had miniturized Overed Rail Canons under them. With all the advance energy weapons, not even Balam's heavy defense and AP can take them head on, etc. Hell, this probably can even lead to speculations that Arquebes may have assimilated other companies during their drunk in power since their specialty is in lasers, not plasma. Hell, I am surprised that you even glossed over the fact that Arquebus was able to repair the the Vascular Plant, may be atmost 6-12 months, the largest technological structure barr the Closure Satellite System. They probably used the small AI controlled repair crabs you see in Underground Depths 2.
All though not detrimental, mention of VCPL and "Your survivability is not aerodynamic" Schneider (not my joke) Parts would have been cool for completions sake
A fair suggestion, after all its possible he took his chance with a full functioning part of the closure system and sent 621 in with the plan of using the drop ships back as a decoy for the system to hit and let 621 transport pod be the final push onto the planet.

Good question from what we know they are a steel making company that is working with the RLF and using what they know to make AC's for them. We know later on they make steel haze ortus with some help from furlong and after studying steel haze. But their parts before this are used by flat well, Freddie and Rokumonsen so they seem to be supporting the front the best they can, most likely with funds from Bams who also show support for the front. I am looking forward to making a video on them.

We have had our fair of jungle missions in the games. PP, AC3 and silent line to name a few of the game that had them.
