I knew Dave will make this better one day when he has a idea in his dream it will come to him like a lightbulb or a flash of lightning not literally i mean in a brainwave idea sense dont want nothing to happen to dave he is a toyfixer genius
Just when I thought your restorations couldn't get any more intricate, this video pops up! What an ingenious repair of a figure I definitely would've discarded. Fabulous work!
These might not be as rare in the US as in the UK but they are still expensive here. If I found a broken one cheap, I'd try and fix it up also. Great work as always!
Great repair job, shows there is hope for pretty much any broken toy 😁. Have also just opened a parcel with my 2024 toy-polloi annual, liking what I see so far, your 2023 annual has now been added to my grail list 😁
My god man, you have absolutely no fear. My anxiety went off the charts but you made everyrhing better. You know how to shred our nerves good sir! You have so much patience and skill. Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Fantastic repair job, Dave. I doubt most people would've bothered with such a beater beyond, as you said, using it for parts. It's always wonderful to see the broken and busted restored to displayable condition.
I half expected the arm and shoulder to break when you put the satchel on at the end. Which makes me then wonder if that was what caused the damage to begin with. A kid trying to squeeze the arm and head in to a satchel loop that was too small, like an Ewok one perhaps.
I havee nowhere near the level of talents you have or even equipment you use, but like you I am also looking at damaged toys in a new way. Instead of thinking something is beyond repair I now start to wonder if something can be done with styrene, plastic weld, milliput.
I've done some repairs on figures I bought in a fodder lot on eBay. But what you did is phenomenal compared to what I did... But I learned a lot in this video....
Absolutely Amazing fix. Milliput I have to use more of it. I have a broken TF Third Party. TFC Hellbat figure to fix. If I don't get it right. The Combined Hades/Liokaiser is ruined. This video helps. I really have to get round to sending you something Special Dave. I really want to see you do some magic with it. I couldn't fix it myself. But I think you could. You can keep it too.
Thanks. This one was quite a challenge. I probably didn't need to do so much as it's all hidden under his robes. But if you are going to do it, you might as well do it properly.
Lots of "Mileage" on that Indy. Would using both arms of the donor figure be better. They would be the same scale. It might be possible to extend the post for the spring. PTFE tape around the arm's post also is a good barrier for putty like milliput putty.
Absolutely phenomenal restoration. Your skills never fail to amaze me. Thank you for another fascinating video, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Hi, I've recently had some water damage to some Halo figures in box. And as usual they're stuck together. Is there anything I can do to separate the boxes that would cause as little damage as possible to the packaging? In the past I didn't think there was anything I could do but just separate them and tear up the outside of the boxes. I'm hoping you might know of a way that I could separate them without ripping up the boxes too badly 🤞🙏 Thank you
I don't have the experience Dave does, but perhaps dampening the stuck parts of the boxes with lighter fluid or 99% alcohol and careful peeling with a cellphone triangle pick (spudger)?
I've never tried to fix that specific thing, but check out this video as it might give you some ideas. ua-cam.com/video/sxnZY5vNPUg/v-deo.html&pp=ygUUdG95IHBvbGxvaSBidWJibGVndW0%3D
You do some beautiful work on these toys. If I hadn't seen this video, I would never have known how badly it had been damaged. Did you get the arm mechanism working?
Awesome job. Glad you got the arm mechanism working too, that's a bonus. I keep forgetting to ask you, when you mix up your milliput, you usually only have a small job to do and mix more than you need (I do the same myself) do you have a couple of jobs ready to go so none of it gets wasted or is it such a small amount you don't worry about throwing some out?
It depends. Sometimes I am filming a few things or working on another project so it gets used. A lot of the time I just put it to one side as it's a good way to check when it has set fully without risking the work you have done on the toy. It's very hard to mix small amounts of this stuff and I always make way to much.
@@toypolloi I guess if you had a small mold of something like the indy bag you could always make an extra one of them with the left overs. Any small mold would be a handy thing to have set aside. I might try doing that when I mix too much.
Hi, I have just read volume two of the toy polioi annual (it’s very good!) I have a suggestion for you for your world record attempt. I was thinking you could try and set the record for the longest Hot wheels jump! With a famous Hot wheels car like the twin mill
You are an absolute legend in the toy repair community. Thanks for all your content.
Wow, thanks!

You know it's going to be a good one when there's LEGO Destruction!! 🤘

Thanks. This one was a challenge!
The way the figure looked originally is how Indy should've _actually_ looked when exiting the fridge in Crystal Skull.
Absolutely incredible work dude!!! I love finding things that seem too far gone and fixing them! Great video!!
Thanks. I just like the challenge. And it's not a figure you see often in the UK so well worth the effort.
Nice use of broken figure. It turned out very nice. Great job.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great save, always a good watch.
Great restoration!
Thank you! Cheers!

It's not just me then! Good to hear. As this figure only came with the playset I guess it makes him rarer all over the place.
That was epic. This features a number of your repair techniques. Very well done. Thanks.

Wow mate you have definitely gone beyond the called of duty with this repair. Outstanding work mate.
You're a hero! Vaseline, never thought of that😮

Hey Dave
One of my favourite fixes of yours to date, even able to keep the inner workings...nice.
Take care and Happy Weekend to you and MrsTP 😊
I was sensing a triggers broom moment here. Not so. Top job again.
Fantastic job on the restoration, you saved a good one!!
Thanks 👍
Thank you for showing how to make a robe.
You’re welcome 😊
Loved the end result!!! You are like that old man that repaired Woody in Toy Story 1 lol great video ❤
😊 thank you

Absolutely amazing. Very well done.
Thank you! Cheers!

I have plenty already, and more to come!
absolute bang up job dave! looks absolutely fantastic 10/10
Thanks 👍
What an absolute beautiful video.... this is Classic Toy Polloi, Keep up the restorations my friend!
Thanks. This was a fun one. And there are a few more coming along that are in a worse state than this.
@@toypolloi they belong in a museum!!! Or a toybox :)

An awesome restoration!!! Definitely need to find one
Very nice result
What about Indy in the Streets of Cairo without his jacket on? I liked that version and it would look nice with just a simple head-swap.
Amazingly done.
Thanks
Amazing work!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work!!
Thank you! Cheers!
That really is great work
Amazing work … keep it going 👊
Brilliant! Thanks for a great video! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very impressive

Thanks. Yes the arm works. I think I showed that in the video?
As always just awesome mate
Thank you! Cheers!
You might have just tried to plastic weld the newer hand onto the older arm to maintain the integrity of the post.
Most powerful hero ever toy polloi

This must have been Indy in an altered storyline where he didn't quite survive the atomic bomb when hiding in the refrigerator...
totes and belloq caught him.
it’s definitely seen better days

It's all content! That's what I do.
"Flesh color paint" 🙄
Poor thing. Sporting horrific amputations and then thrown into a mug of boiling water.
That is what you get when you have a large chip on your shoulder.
Awesome restoration!
Thank you very much!
