Flo - my husband has stopped asking if I want to get take-out for exactly your reasons!! I can rustle up a meal in less time, for less money and much healthier. The one thing that's REALLY helped though is a list of quick easy meals I know I can make which I've taped inside my pantry door - it's invaluable as a starting point. I don't have to think too hard as the list prompts my memory and gets me going. "What's for dinner" is often harder than cooking the meal itself!! Your meals here look delicious and I'll give them a go when I have a little more time to try them.
Hi Flo,love your cooking, Idea: to release thick sauces like oyster sauce or other types, insert a knife, chop stick etc. into bottle and out then the sauce will release and come out. Ketchup too. This Let’s the air in.
I have learned so much from your videos. Every recipe I tried was delicious! My panty is now well stocked. I would appreciate a video explaining noodles. I went to a large US Chinese market and was overwhelmed by the selection!
Hi Flo, hey Dude- I get hangry! Lol my poor family. I haven’t watched all the way through yet (I’m working on it) but I have to say I wish I had a plate of the noodle/egg that you made first! Oh my goodness! I’m hungry. Lol. Your videos always make my mouth water but this time- I WANT SOME! 😊 Lots of love from California. Xxoo God Bless your whole family.
Flo, you are loved. My trouble is, I keep using too much: Soy, Dark Soy, Oyster Sauce when making my fried rice. Tastes good, just too dark when done frying it. Just had some ground beef fried rice last night, and for lunch today, after church. LOVE my wok! Thank you for teaching us how to use it. M'be some ground beef stir fry for dinner.
LOL… then the solution is to use less unless the flavour is good and not overly salty. But every brand of soy sauce is different. I find the soy sauce I use at home doesn’t get recipes as dark as restaurants.
These look amazing can’t wait to try them. As I’m allergic to seafood particularly shellfish, prawns & crab. I can’t use oyster sauce but I do like how you give options for other ingredients or sauces and even give the option to omit an item.
I just made your orange chicken for dinners. Turned out amazing. I stir fried instead of air frying cause I “couldn’t be bothered” 😂 over basmati rice. Mt new cookbook of yours should be here this weekend 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Hugs 🤗
I just found your channel and these recipes look fantastic. Take out is so expensive these days and not as fresh as home made. I’m going to try the scallion or green onion noodles tonight. What great dinner, especially for one person like me 😊
My local Asian market recently closed due to a fire, so I'm glad these recipes can be made with ingredients from a supermarket! But I still need to find a new Asian market.
Wishing you a blessed day. Now I'm on the search for knife cut noodles. I moved to a small town 6 months ago, and there is no store near me that carries these noodles. I watched your previous full vid of the chili noodle recipe. You said it was a better price to go buy them at a store and not online. I can see why the ones online are ridiculously priced very high. Thank you for all the wonderful recipes and information you share we with us. 🙌🙏❤️👋
@Delta S Maybe fettuccine would be a good substitute for knife cut noodles if you can’t find them. But you can also make the chili garlic sauce to use with other noodles as well.
@Delta S Try to search for 'Ban Mien or Ban Mian' or Mee Hoon Kuay. These noodles or stripes are popular in Malaysia and Singapore. You can make it with or without egg. Alternatively homemade pasta recipes. All the best.
Thanks for using cast iron because I do think many people are used to cooking with pan. I used to think I had to use wok and I felt like I had to hurry up and cook fast cause it cooks quicker
I have Lupus so some days a long cooking process is too much. I resort the sandwiches. This is amazing.. now I can stop having so man sandwiches and have great meals! Thanks so much!!
Hello Flo - I just stumbled upon your channel and I love your recipes. I am a US resident of Ukraine, and I am always looking for recipes for foreign foods to serve to volunteer groups here. You see, they often work and get served a regular menu of affordable and plentiful local dishes that include potatoes, chicken, cereals, carrots and onions with limited seasonings. And when they have this week after week, they look forward to anything unusual - as long as it's not too spicy. So some of your recipes could work well. I just have to adjust for making 12-25 portions. Do you have any tips on how I can do that with a wok?
@@FloLum I learn something new every week. I made sliced pork tenderloin with soy sauce, ginger and garlic and waited for that "whisp of smoke". It rocked. I also love and respect the way your family lives. It's an incredible lesson.
Hi Flo - this is an answer to prayer and all look so good. I'm trying to figure out what Chili Oil you used and couldn't catch the name. What do you recommend? Thank you so much!
I think I’ve been using San Woo and it’s incredibly spicy (speaking from someone who does not handle heat that well, of course). I just use less of it but everyone’s taste is different so if there is one you like, use that. There are SO many choices out there and each region has their own flavour profiles too. Kind of like hot sauce. Too many choices!
Dear Flo: I made your Portuguese Chicken Curry in my instant pot tonight for dinner from your cookbook..... I used chicken breasts cuz that was what was thawed, otherwise I followed the recipe as written........ it was delicious, easy and quick....... I marinated the meat for about 3 hours as you directed.... unfortunately, I don't think the marinade added anything to the chicken..... nevertheless, the curry sauce, meat potatoes, onions and carrots were very flavorful and everyone in the family liked the dish..... thank you, Monica
I have no Asian ingredients other than soy sauce from takeout. I want to start cooking some of your recipes, but don't want to have to buy too many ingredients at once. What would be the 2 or 3 most important ones to get first? Also, what kind of noodles did you use in the garlic chili noodles?
Do you have a curried beef or chicken on rice recipe? I have tried several recipes that i have found on the internet but they are not even close to the flavour that i get when i order it from a restaurant. Mine always turns out gritty and tastes very stodgy instead of creamy. Thanks.
Flo, why do you use vegetable oil instead of olive oil? Could I substitute olive oil? I have heard that EVOO is a much healthier alternative. What are your thoughts?
Olive oil has a lower smoke point, so high heat cooking with it isn't good. Avo oil or other type oils are better for stir fry etc because of their high smoke point
Delicious recipes! But soya sauce has about 1000mg of sodium per tablespoon. Can you suggest some lower sodium recipes? I've tried low salt soya sauce, but found it really watery.
When you think you don’t have time to make dinner, here are some quick recipes that will help. Happy Sunday! 💕
These recipes look so delicious. You're not Flo Lum, you're Flo Yum!!!
Need smell-a-vision!!! It all looks so good!

You both are a joy to watch! Thanks for all your hard work!
These quick meals are so much better than take out! Thank you!!!

Easy and delicious - I need to try this now! thanks☺

I love you, Flo and Dude!!!
Hi Flo!!! Hmmmm...which one should I try first?!! Thank you for all the great recipes and sauces to try. Great video!!

Can’t get the real egg noodles , so as Flo has suggested sometime ago , I used angel hair noodles which is almost identical but no egg flavor .
@Delta S Maybe fettuccine would be a good substitute for knife cut noodles if you can’t find them. But you can also make the chili garlic sauce to use with other noodles as well.
Great quick ideas! Thanks guys! 😘

Awesome recipes Thanks for sharing😊
All delicious and good and easy.

I love these guys. She reminds me of my family. Dude 🤙
You are an amazing cook.
Love them all so yummy thanks Flo ❤
I can only watch Flo if I've already eaten or I'll be hungry again 😊😊✌✌✌
I made something like that but I also added green pepper and water chestnuts
I have Lupus so some days a long cooking process is too much. I resort the sandwiches. This is amazing.. now I can stop having so man sandwiches and have great meals! Thanks so much!!
Lupus runs in my family, so I know what you mean, dear ❤❤❤
Ok as a cat lady I need to see the cat. 🐱 Who else wants to see the kitty? 🐈⬛

Hi, I'm in Tucson Az, and it's getting HOT! Could you make some cold dishes and different salad dressings? Ty
Like your new hairdo!! Maybe not so new but prettier!
You are a life saver ❤
Im gluten free. But gluten free spaghetti noodles. Ir rice noodles might work .
They work great for your chow mein
Flo, what type of noodle did you use in the Chili Noodle dish?
Thanks
Thanks so much for the super thanks. Jojo! 🙏🏼💕

Tell Dude to get some chili oil from the Japanese market. There’s is very very mild almost not spicy at all but just as much garlic.🥰

I enjoy your cooking so much.. how can I get your cookbook?
Thanks so much, Carol! All my cookbooks are available on Amazon. Link is in the description.
Thank you so much. I just ordered one of your books online.
In the second recipe, could you use honey or some other sweetener in place of the brown sugar?
I would definitely rinse the meat out of package although you might say “can’t be bothered “:)
Do you ever use peanut oil?
I cooked this dish with ground Turkey and “sneak” in some diced greens as well such as organic kale 😂
Do you have a curried beef or chicken on rice recipe? I have tried several recipes that i have found on the internet but they are not even close to the flavour that i get when i order it from a restaurant. Mine always turns out gritty and tastes very stodgy instead of creamy. Thanks.
Try Che Nom -Malaysian You tuber her recipes are legit. Or Paulin's Kitchen or Marion's. Souped up recipes channel for Chinese cuisine.
What kind of noodles are used in last recipe please?
Love your cooking! Thank you!
Do you use celery? I just found your channel. Love it
No one in the family is a huge fan of celery so typically not many recipes have it except for some stews and soups.
Where can I get the recipes from this video?
❤❤❤❤❤❤watching från Sweden
Any low carb recipes?

"Not enough to kill me?" 😂😂😂
Yummy🎉
Notice you didn’t have to drain hamburger meat. What % did you use

what is the best Chinese spices please ?

You can always just lower the amount of soy sauce to your liking. But it has WAY less sodium than actual salt.
Just want to see more beans, pulses, brassicas and root vegetables!
This is clearly 1 serving for 1 person.
Feed your man girl 💃
Where the heck, are the vegetables. Those recipes are very unhealthy.
