I love how Len-nay is such a non-threat, the police just told him, "Man, get on outta here." I always look forward to him popping up. I had forgotten how many of the cast members he actually interacted with. Great post.
Ironically, back when I worked at U-Haul in NYC, there was a guy just like this who came up to the place every single day with something different to sell. What kills me is, I actually bought stuff from him and he had the audacity to ask was there anything in particular I was looking for, if so, he would make sure he’d have it in less than 24 hours.
A lot of discrepancies surrounding his birthplace and upbringing. Some say he was born in Philly; some say SC. I do know, that as a Stand-up Comedian, he earned his chops in DC Rooms. Dude was hilarious and really rapped when he spoke in regular conversation the few times we met. I even heard he had moved from LA to the UK in his later years.
All of looting Lenny's are classic's but this one with jj in the department store is my favorite, "say blood whatchu think you doing?? This here is my domain!!!😂❤100!!!
For Lenny to do that in the police station in front of the cop - he's got to be insane. Willona: What could possibly go wrong? Lady, you just set yourself up. And Florida finally put him in his place.
Someone was giving his background on another channel a while back. They said he was from Philly and known as one of the best dressed brothers in town. Philly was known to be the city of the best dressed hustlers back then, even above Harlem . 😂
@@yell0wberry I can see that! Remember those two brothers that were in House Party and Boomerang? They were on that “Lenny” time too! The brothers told Eddie he had to “get that gold to get that girl” and told him to watch his back after looking @Eddies watch 😭
Absolutely!! Nobody could touch Florida Evans on the mic. Remember her classic shutting down her best friend Willona Woods: " So long Mother Goose. Little old who lived in a shoe. Got 1 child and don't know what to do"!
🤩 Someone was giving Lenny’s background on another channel a while back. They said he was a real hustler from Philly and was known as one of the best dressed brothers in town. Philly had a rep for having the best dressed players back then, even above Harlem/NYC… but I wouldn’t know; I’m an 80’s baby. 😂
That's my late Uncle Will, aka Len nay". He really was and is an unsung legend. He didn't really know the impact he left and people he inspired. RIP Uncle ❤️
I had a Uncle just like him back in the day. He had a long leather coat with brushes, combs, toothpaste, cologne, mouthwash and soap in the inside of it like Lenny. Crazy times...lol
Yo. I'm 32, and back in 8th grade, for Spirit Week, I legit went as Lenny, LOL. I was busting in each class I had that day opening my coat and reciting one of Lenny's catchphrases. I had a huge fro, a leather coat, shades, and a bunch of jewelry and stuff that my auntie let me borrow to pretend that I was selling. One kid actually tried to buy something off me, bruh. Took his money out, lol.
Dap "Sugar" Willie was an outstanding comedian!
